I have been taking my family's 5 vehicles to Bob's for tires and minor service for many years. No more. My 20-something daughter called them to get a quote on four new tires. Nothing high end, just solid replacements. 4 tires, installed with disposal = well over $2000. We checked around (Pep Boys, Costco, etc.) all were between $800-$1000. I can't help but wonder if the "unpleasant" (as she put it) man on the phone at Bob's felt he had a sucker on the line. Unfortunately, no written quote to show, it was all verbal. Brought my car in for inspection and was told my tires were "dry rotted". I wasn't in the area and decided ok. As I got back earlier I went to check it out and could not see it and the new tires were not on. Was going to pull the car for a second opinion and they had the new sticker on it already. "Screwed"! I had a tire sensor light on, asked if they could check to reset it? I had just put air in the tire and had 2 notifications telling me I needed air. So they were working. I just needed to check for reset. I get a phone call telling me all 4 sensors were bad and they were $80.00 a piece. NO! I just got back from another place and asked about the tires that were taken off. (Yes, I kept them.) He said they would have passed. I had about another 8K miles left on them. I have been a customer for almost as long as I lived here. Upon looking at my bill a little closer I noticed a labor charge for an oil change of $25.00, Again I asked another service person and he said no that it is very unusual. I base how honest a business is by whether they watch out for my dollar. They had not. Never again! read more

Had 4 tires replaced on my 2020 Chevy Silverado. Never had a problem with this place. Always treated pretty good. Unfortunately, this time was different. My truck has stock polished aluminum wheels. After getting it home, I took a closer look at the tires only to notice all 4 of my wheels were scratched and scored at the same spot. Returned to the shop the following morning to express my displeasure. They responded with "its impossible that we did that." After a much spirited conversation, they told me to never comeback. Never offered a compromise, or an apology. Just a little advice. Take pictures of your wheels prior to them doing any work. Also, insist that they torque your lugs to factory specs. I checked mine, and they were all extremely over torqued. What a bunch of hacks. read more

I called Bob's about an ABS sensor problem and they were very responsive and only charged me for .75 hr labor. They were willing to use my part and had me back in the vehicle quickly. This is an old school repair shop and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend. read more

Not even 3 miles from leaving Bob's Tire my tire pressure light came on. Called and brought it back and stated all the tires had the correct pressure and insisted the light was on due to a low battery. Nope! Just can't recommend this shop anymore. Have been a Bob's customer for decades and have overlooked their poor customer service because in the past they've had good prices and would get me the tires I wanted. However, my last two visits to them has caused me to walk away. My prior experience, a couple of years ago was over a Toyo tire request. Oh my God!! The counter person who was checking prices on several tires I requested went off on a diatribe that spread from Toyo to Toyota vehicles, etc, etc. etc. He made it very clear he had no use for Toyo tires, Toyota vehicles, or anyone who would do independent quality research on buying choices rather than asking him who he described as a tire expert. Recently, i had made an appt to have the tire pressure monitoring system checked and perhaps the sensors replaced. (Different person from whom I above described.) Also requested a tire rotation since I had bought my tires there. Well, on the day of the intended service, after having my vehicle inside for about 15 minutes, the shop guy came to the counter and asked me if I had bought the tires there. Replay - Yes. Was told the charge was $10. Asked him why because i had bought the tires there and had received free rotations in the past. Reply - "We don't do that anymore." So, I asked what about the tire pressure sensors. OMG. He went off on a short diatribe about "you'll have to take it to the dealer. I don't do Toyotas. Have tried to do two before and could not get the light to go out after trying to re-initialize the new sensors. I then drove to my regular mechanic who used his scanner on all four wheels, showed me the display screen of which sensors were weak and which one had totally stopped sending the signal. Told me he'd order four sensors for me, would install and be sure they were registering with the car's system, and politely asked me when I wanted the appointment. Summary -- absolutely no more will I give my money to Bob's Tire. Poor work can sometimes be excused, but rude and inconsistent customer service cannot. If Bob's wishes to stop free rotations for future customers, so be it; but, why would they take away a service that existed for current set of tires on your vehicle? Just doesn't make sense. And, at that, not even mention the fee when the appt was made and the rotation service was noted in the appt book! read more

Horrible customer service. I called about getting a alternator replaced in my car. Clint the one technician said that is something he could do and said he would call me in two days with a quote. 2 weeks later I call back because I I had not received the return call like promised and all they say is "yea we are not going to be able to do that". Well I've been going their for years, never had a problem before, until this time. My wife's car had a minor accident, I fixed the damage myself, and took it to Bobs for 2 front tires and alignment. The car is only 2 years old and still like new. Got the work done, paid, and drove it home. The next morning my wife noticed all 4 wheel center caps had been replaced with old worn out ones. Went right back to bobs and was told to talk to the mechanics, so I did. All the mechanics acknowledged that they were the wrong caps, but their was nothing they could do. Well WTF! Hey Bob you got a thief in your shop and you owe me 33 bucks so I can order 4 new caps. If you do go their make sure you take pictures of your car so when it's gets out you have proof if they steal something from you. On second thought, go somewhere else. I cannot say enough about the efficiency and customer service at Bob's Tire. They charged me the minimum for an emergency battery replacement on Friday at 4:30pm. Also, another time, the mechanic recommended a local welder to repair my car's problem rather than charge me hundreds more for a replacement. They have earned my trust and that is so important to me! Hate to have to write this, I had been going here for tires, inspections, and oil changes for years. Always felt they were being honest. Till now....they obviously tried to gouge me last week, guess that's the thanks I get for spending thousands here over the years. Son's car overheated on a Saturday so I had it towed to Bob's. I knew they'd get it looked at right away Monday. Get the call, bad cooling fan module. They said it's expensive and with labor would be $500. I rarely check up on them but I googled the part and found it for as little as $50 and AutoZone had for $122 with lifetime warranty in stock in store nearby. Also saw a Youtube video of a guy putting one in, took less than an hour. It just plugs in and mounts with a single screw. So I call Bob's and ask how they are figuring $500?? Immediate attitude that I dare question the quote. Asked for the breakdown of parts and labor and again huge attitude and I really had to press for it. I said, " You're going to have to break it down on the bill anyway, please give me the info. It just doesn't seem right" So he gets back on the phone and says the part is $330 and the labor is 3/4 of an hour. So I tell him that I can grab the part from AutoZone for $122, how on earth are you coming up with $330?? He says "If you bring you're own part I'll have to charge more labor, I have to make my money somehow" Wtf?! Anyway we go back and forth and he's not budging (even though I point out that $330 plus 3/4 of $90 labor rate is only $400!!!) I remind him several times of the loyalty and $$$ I've spent here over a decade, nothing. I call the guy down the road, aka my new mechanic, and he says he'd mark up part 10-15% and $85 to install. I said that's totally fair. I don't care if they mark up a part realistically but damn near triple doesn't fly. When my new guy said his source would be a few days for the part he was totally cool with installing my AZ one and just charged the $85. Boom, done. Bob's not only got busted with their hand in the cookie jar but didn't give a flying f@#k about my previous loyalty. Never again. read more

I just got back from my service appointment and I can honestly say it was my best experience at a mechanic. My tire kept losing air but had no visible holes. They found it, patched it up, put it back on and put my donut back where it belonged; even though I had left my trunk a mess. I just moved to the area 5 months ago and I am so happy I went with them instead of a Pep Boys or Tires Plus. The workers were probably some of the nicest people I have ever met. Highly recommend for anyone with tire problems. I was in and out in 40 minutes and cost me less than $20. read more

I was just going to write the owner but after seeing the other reviews I must protect the public.. I called about getting new tires on my classic corvette, They gave me a date ordered the tires and all was well Jim the owner was a super nice guy. I dropped the car off in the morning (I work right down the Rd) And around 12pm was driving by with a co worker and noticed the car outside with the new tires so I decided to pick it up (I was going to have him drop me off after work but since it was done I figured I'd just get it early) So I walked in and was standing at the counter and one guy was at a desk (He Ignored me) I was getting a weird vibe already) after a minute some clown comes out of the garage sees me roles his eyes slams something on the table starts bitching about not be able to eat lunch and asked me if I had a appointment! I said no I wanted to pick up and pay and didn't think I needed a appointment for that! He came over still bitching to the guy at the desk about his lunch and asked me how much I owed, I told him I didn't know to the Penny but had a rough idea. This sent him off on another tirade that he had to add up my bill, and once again had to listen to him about not getting his lunch break (I suggest putting a sign on the door closed for lunch) there cheap! Anyway after he rudely added my invoice I asked him how it went. And he said the two center caps on my front wheels did not fit. I asked how this could be since they have been on the car since 2002 when I bought the car? Mr lunch guy, once again just ignored me. I just got out of there and when I got home I checked and sure enough the center caps would not stay on. But upon closer inspection I realized why someone pried them off with a screw driver and bent and broke the teeth off. I had some more at home (thank god) that I bought cheap at a car show! bought 4 tires, they replaced one of the tire stems with a metal cap that is now rusted to the stem.... they won't back up their work, instead say I must have done it... yeah that's what I do... 58 year old woman replaces ONE tire stem with a metal cap just for the fun of it.... read more

Considerate, polite, customer friendly, truthful, prompt, efficient are just some of the words you want any company or service provider to exemplify. I have read the various reviews and see many individuals are tickled pink about this place and many people in the area recommend this place. However, if you look past the 5 star reviews and do a little extra research you will find out the truth about this place. I am happy that some people came in with an emergency and got in and out in 40 minutes but that is not everyone's experience. We set an appointment to have 4 new tires installed along with alignment. We did our research on the various tires, called countless tire companies and decided to use Bob's Tire. Just to let you know I will drive to get great service or pay more just to know I am getting the best service out there. When we set the appointment we inquired if we would get a print out of the alignment so we can have it for our service book and because another mechanic screwed us in the past and did not provide a copy (people, this is not something you should have to request). Needless to say that we did not get a copy of the alignment as we were lied to and told the printer was out of paper (Just an excuse and a pike if bull). They said they have been out of paper for about 3 days so why didn't they say this when we set the appointment 2 days prior. Then you would think they would have the tires you requested when you set the appointment, however, one of the morons there decided to sell our tires to another customer and since they are so disorganized there no one realized they need to order another set so they would have them for our appointment. Instead, they tried to sell us another tire from that manufacturer. They said they would either sell us the tire we want for $110 a tire or the tire they have in stock for $120 as that tire normally goes for $130. We decided to wait a day and get the tire we ordered. We were told that their deliveries get in at noon and all they would have to do is install the tires. You would think they would get our car done as soon as the tires got in but it took another phone call from us around 3 p.m. just to be told our car was on the lift and should be done in 30 minute or so. You think this would be enough but it continues as Scott tried to go back on his word and attempted to sell us the tires at the original price instead of the ten dollars off per tire and they did not have a print out of the alignment. Then to top it off the arm rest on the drivers door was filthy because they do not care about your vehicle and get in your car with their dirty clothes and do not take any precautions such as paper covers to protect your vehicle. Plus my vehicle left their lot with 3 new dents which it did not have before. Two of the rims have new scratches on them because of one of many reasons. At this point I feel it is a combination of being rushed, lack of caring, lack of experience and not taking pride in their job. The tires and rims were a mess from the solution they swab the tires with to get them onto the rim. I have never received a car with such messy and dirty tires ever in my life. How do I know this? Well thats easy because I just detailed the car inside and out and know every inch of the car. As i drove the car home it just did not feel right and i was tempted to turn the car around and go back but I had a couple of ideas of what was causing the feeling and would check it out once I got home. Plus i am not 100% certain I would have contained myself. When I got home I parked the car in a cool shaded spot and waited until the next morning at which time i checked the air pressure in all 4 tires. The tires should be inflated to a maximum of 33 PSI according to the sticker on the door; unfortunately, this is not the PSI in the tires. Two of tge tires were at 145 PSI, one was at 140 PSI and the other was at 138 PSI. You would think a tire shop would know what PSI is recommended for your vehicle! I do not know how this place has stayed in business for so long due to the lack of accountability and customer service. They let individuals stand and wait at the counter while they walk aimlessly on the other side of the counter. I saw Scott take a pile of smaller boxes from the desk over to a cabinet, drop most of them on the way over and do other little jobs all while making clients stand at the counter and wait for him to be done.
