I made contact with "Jennifer" at Bob's Towing and explained my needs; simply tow my car from the 2900 block of a East Theresa Street to ACA Automotive. I went so far as to measure the route and discovered it was merely 3.1 miles. Jennifer quoted $65.00 to tow the vehicle and o accepted her terms. The driver arrived 15 minutes late (we agreed 11:45) and after briefly meeting at the prescribed location, determined it was 4 miles to the previously agreed drop off. I tried to reason with Jennifer and offered several maps indicating the 3.1 trip and she refused to acknowledge the distance, refused to honor her original quote and charged me an extra $10 for an additional mile of travel, although it was only .1 miles which she was already aware of. read more

If I could give them a negative 5 stars, I would! My nephew was hit by an unlicensed and uninsured driver this past Thursday at 8:45PM. He had a green light to make a left turn and she ran the red light hitting him almost head on. The Tow company's driver was rude & unprofessional when he arrived. He decided to tow her car first, even though the call had been for my nephew's car to be towed through AAA. My nephew had a fractured hand and they ended up making him wait THREE hours! I just wanted to shout out Danny, he really came through on Saturday, July 24th, 2021. I was having an annoying day and all of the sudden I ran over a small bump and I could feel something was wrong with my tire. Call for a tow for my wrangler through AAA, they tell us 45-60 minutes and say they can send a non flatbed faster, so we say ok. We still wait 45 minutes, the driver shows up and is immediately pissed off and says, "you know I can't f***ing tow that!" Then he calls for a flatbed. As soon as he leaves I call Bob's directly and the operator gives me a ton of attitude saying I rejected the tow and requested a flatbed even though the other guy could have towed me. She then tells me I have to wait 45-60 minutes for the flatbed. These people are huge a55holes and don't seem to know what the hell is going on. Today my car didn't want to start anymore and I was stuck in a parking lot in a shopping center. I called AAA and the operator told me that I will get towed by Bob's towing and to wait approximately 1 hour. Five minutes after I hung up with AAA I got the call from Romeo to let me know that he was on his way in 4 minutes! I was surprised because I wasn't expecting the call so soon! When Romeo got to were I was he quickly checked my car and he tried to see if he could fix my car problem but unfortunately the car would not turn on. He was funny and put my mind at ease because I was stressing out. He towed my car to my apartment building and he even parked my car inside my small parking lot!! He's an expert at reverse parking!! I had issues with my car so two guys had to come out to move my car. I was so stressed out about the car I didn't even get to tip the guys! They were so much help and one guy even moved it to a small driveway for me! Towed my car in with some engine problem. Very nice people, after a week they told me "Low compression" engine wouldn't turn over and I needed a new engine. Which is anywhere from 2000/3000 dollars. So I took it to another guy of mine in Wilmington. Very small shop, only him and his guy. They opened the engine to find all we need is a new head gasket. The car ( 2006 Mazda 5 ) only has 88.000 miles, why would we need a new engine? So my only complaint is to check and see what is really going on before going with their opinion. The following review is not about the service but an interaction I had with one of the drivers. One of the drivers was stopped, lights on, on the side of the road, I proceeded to go around the truck when the driver all of a sudden moves and nearly hits my car. We exchange words (not all pleasant) and the driver gets out of his truck in a huffing manner and proceeds to my passenger side door. I took this as a threatening situation and drove off. I called the night shift to file a complaint. Gregg informed me that I am supposed to yield when their lights are on (I was yielding, as I was going around the stopped truck), and that he wants to hear his drivers side of the story, but either way, he said he would take his side anyway. That response doesn't surprise me because I imagine tow truck drivers deal with people 'having a bad day' all the time....this however does not excuse this driver's threatening behavior, and it also doesn't represent good customer service, nor was it anywhere close to an apology or an "I'll look into it," which was honestly all I was looking for. Locked my car keys in the trunk of my 2011 Mercedes c class 300. Called triple a and they dispatched this towing company. Guy tried to open the car via my front passenger window. #1. If you don't know the vehicle you're dealing with, then do your research before you try to work with the car! If my keys are in the trunk and my car requires the ignition to be on in order to open the trunk then it is absolutely pointless to open the window because I'm still not going to be able to get my keys! #2 explain the procedure of the services you are about to render and receive verbal, better yet- a signature! And after he opened the window this fool just left and made no mention of damage! #3 if you tell the customer you will call them back the same day, call them back. I called back to discuss the damages on my car and they told me they'd call back later that day and they did not! #4 do not try to bargain damage payments with your customer by guilting them. I got a quote from the place that tinted my windows and they said it would take $45 to fix. The owners of this towing company tried to haggle me when I asked them to pay for it by saying that the individual who had damaged my car would have to pay out of pocket and that he was poor and a new guy at their workplace. Oh boo fucking who! I hope this place shuts the fuck down. By the way, the manager, joe, is a douchebag. I called to speak to the manager and he said that he was the manager and when I asked to make an appointment for the damages to be seen he said to come at 5 cause his boss would be then there. STAY AWAY... AVOID... DO NOT USE Bob's Towing Service! Absolutely the worst service I've ever encountered in my 18 years of being a member of AAA. Sketchy, huge obnoxious, arrogant Oompa Loompa with the worst bedside manners was sent to tow my vehicle. He asked for my AAA card and had me sign his "Log Book"... Feeling a little uneasy about signing a "Log Book", I asked him for a copy of what I had signed or at least let me take a picture of the document. He asked me why and I said because I signed something and I'd like to have a copy for my records... (I should've known better.) He said neither was going to happen and he didn't feel like going back and forth with me... "DO YOU WANT ME TO TOW YOUR VEHICLE OR NOT?", so I told him to leave it. I immediately called the number on the side of the truck and I had to deal with another arrogant person that defended him saying he didn't have to give me a copy of what I had signed. To make things worse, he had already pulled my vehicle out of the parking space and dropped it in front of two other parked cars and drove away! I called AAA to request FINISH LINE TOWING and made a formal complaint to AAA and requested they terminate their Towing Provider contract with Bob's Towing Company. AAA sympathized with my situation and agreed to investigate the "Log Book" this individual had me sign. Next time you need towing service, do not hesitate to request FINISH LINE... I was at the Costco Gas line in Signal Hill when I heard a loud pop then smoke coming out of my hood. I immediately called AAA and they sent me the nearest truck which happened to be Bob's Towing. The Tow Truck driver was Ramon and he went above and beyond to help me out. He could have just towed me 3 miles to the nearest repair shop which would have probably overcharged me to get my car fixed. Instead he took a look at my car and told me that all I needed was the radiator hose and some coolant. He towed me to an Auto zone instead where i got the parts which he then helped me replace. He even explained what might have caused the issue and what I can do to prevent it from happening again. I was having a horrible day but then Ramon went above and beyond to help me out. Dishonest thieves... This place is horrible!!! The manager is super sketchy and most of the guys there are super sketchy. I was in an accident a few days ago. My friend let me use his AAA card, the guy who showed up didn't even write down that info. I didn't find out till later when they were billing up for the towing of the car to their lot. They said there was noting they could do about getting AAA to cover it because it had been over 24 hours and they doubted that AAA would cover it, saying that AAA would want to see my friends name on the registration of my car to cover it. Which is false. They just want the money in hand. So we had to call AAA and get a reimbursement through them. At some point they tried talking my mom into signing over my car to them so we wouldn't rack up more time with it sitting there for days and having to pay everyday that it's there... To just sign it over for nothing. They didn't even say " oh we'll pay you a couple hundred for it" or "if you sign it over, we'll put it towards your bill". No. They wanted us to just sign it over for nothing and still pay the full bill. PLUS the towing charges that should have been covered by my friends AAA card. Then we get settling the billing, in the beginning he tells us it's $55 a day, then he goes and tries to charge us for an extra day when the car has only been there 3 days. Then the stupid manager tries questioning us when the accident happened "oh are you sure that's the time accident happened"... They says he can give it to us in cash if we drive down. I don't live in the area, I'm not driving an hour for YOUR mistake. Even as I'm typing, they re still trying to screw us over. Im getting my car towed to my friends house and we SCHEDULED a time for them to drop off the car (which they said was "no problem") and the $55 dollars they tried to steal from us. Had a flat and needed to be towed to get the tire fixed or replaced, so I called AAA and they dispatched someone who was from Bob's Towing. José was the tow truck driver and he arrived exactly at the time AAA had said he would, which was great! I don't thin that's ever happened before, usually they come later. José was very friendly and, more importantly, was masterful when it came to hooking up my car and getting it on the flatbed tow truck without scraping in the front or back of the car, or doing any damage to it whatsoever. That's no easy task since my car is naturally doesn't have a lot of ground clearance. After getting my car situation on his truck, quickly as well as skillfully, he got it to the tire shop without taking any funky, back road or out of the way path to get there--he actually took about the quickest route and avoided any areas that could have caused him to hit dips, potholes or other things that could of led to car damage while towing it. Guess it helped that he was familiar with the shop the car was being taken to :) When we got to the shop he got the car unloaded quickly, safely and without any damage--despite having had to back up a pretty steeply inclined driveway. Hard to describe, but it once again proved he is a total pro when it comes to handling and towing cars. I've unfortunately had to have cars towed--either for myself, friends, or relative--dozens of times. This was the sixth time in less than 18 months, so I'm really thankful for AAA plus and have taken advantage of their tow service. Great service and super fast! I called AAA because my battery died. They dispatched Bob's Towing. I was given a 30 minute window for service and they arrived well within that window. They tested my battery, found it was no good, replaced it, and I was on my way in no time. They got me out of a jam for sure. My only concern would be not seeing the results of the battery testing. I've gone through this before and was shown the test strip as proof that the battery wasn't good. I mean, the battery was clearly dead but having proof that it wasn't recoverable (didn't just need to charge up) would have been great. I've had AAA call Bob's Towing previously with good results, but tonight the driver was awful. AAA said they would be here in an hour They had a good description of my car and address. We are close to Bob's location too. When we had waited 1 1/2hrs we called AAA back. AAA said that the truck had been there, we were not around & did not respond to their call. No call had ever come in and we were in our home waiting the whole time. Later, "Greg" called back from Bob's, saying he could not drop it at our repair shop because the lot "is always full" even though that's where the repair shop requested we leave it. UNETHICAL!! FLAGRANT INSURANCE FRAUD!! AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!!! My car was damaged by a hit-and-run driver on a Sunday evening. I called my AAA and asked for my car to be towed. They sent a tow truck driver, who asked me to write my name and contact information on their form and take a picture of it. The tow truck driver said that my car would be towed to Bob's tow yard pending insurance processing. I spent the next two days collecting information from the police department, regarding this accident. There is a delay and getting my police report, as this was a hit & run. I contacted Bob's to arrange for my car to be released to me so that I could have AAA tow my car to my house while I am waiting for the body shop appointment. When I explained this to the manager at Bob's towing service, (Nidia Reyes), she discouraged me from contacting AAA to get my car towed from Bob's to my personal home. She told me "AAA won't tow your car from my shop to your house, they just don't do it". She insisted that I pay cash to her, $195, in addition to the $50 a day storage fee. And she called this a "tow in" fee. I told her that I did not need to pay for the tow service to Bob's, as I am a AAA Member & towing my car was part of my AAA benefit. Nidia seems determined to collect this extra $195 from me either way, and changed the story from me needing to pay for the tow FROM Bob's to my home to a "tow in fee" TO their shop the night of the accident. She kept changing the story and rational for the fee. When I questioned her more about what this "tow in fee" was, she said "we charge everybody, everybody pays it, even if they have AAA or any other type of tow service, we always charge our customers a tow-in fee". I told her that this sounded like she was double dipping/committing INSURANCE FRAUD - That if they had a contract with AAA to tow disabled cars, there was no legal justification to charge vehicle owners an additional $195 to tow the car. Nidia became very hostile & stated "I am not going to release your car to you unless you pay me cash for everything and have the pink slip in your hand". This nasty threat was issued to me, as she knew that I had just completed the registration for this car, but of course did not have the pink slip in my hand as it was a title transfer as I had just purchased the car about a week earlier. She also told me that the prices for their services were listed on the paperwork that I signed with the tow truck driver. I told her I took a picture of the paperwork I filled out from the tow truck driver as instructed, and there are no prices listed on this paperwork. She responded by texting me a picture of the prices for the various services that Bob's towing offers, this appears to be a picture of some type of a display at their office. But the tow truck driver did not have any of this information with him, nor did he share any information about this so-called "tow in fee". Later she texted me and told me she had contacted AAA on my behalf & that AAA said I had to pay the $200. I texted her back and told her that I was on a call with AAA sorting this matter. I called AAA and talked to a service representative and then a supervisor, they were shocked that Bob's was asking me to pay $200 as a "tow in fee", and AAA confirmed that I should have ZERO out-of-pocket cost for the towing whatsoever. According to AAA, a supervisor contacted Nidia late today and informed her that I did not have to pay the tow fee to them, & that I will be by tomorrow morning to get my car. Now of course I am very worried that they have sabotaged my engine somehow, such as putting sand or sugar into the gas tank. I am going to be very concerned about this type of sabotage happening with this company. It appears as though Bob's towing is committing insurance fraud, and also extortion. I reported all of this information to AAA, and they are escalating this matter to the highest level. I believe that the BBB should follow up with this matter, as insurance fraud is serious, and impacts all of us in society. UNETHICAL BUSINESS!!! INSURANCE FRAUD!!! EXTORTION!!! ZERO FUCKING STARS IF COULD. Locked my keys in the trunk. Yeah my fault, but it's a service you fucking provide and if you're gonna do something, fucking do it. I called AAA and they connected me to these ass hats. They said they'd be there in 15-20 minutes. I told them I could leave my number and he said it was alright, they have it. The driver will call when they're close. Fucking hour and a half later, I call another business and they were there in 20 minutes yet no call from these jackasses. No one has time to waste in this world and you wasted 2 hours of mine. Such bullshit. It's the fucking holidays, if you're not gonna do your job cause you're anticipating the weekend, then fucking close up shop and enjoy time with your family so I could have been home with my family hours ago. read more

Ernie Ross came to my rescue!!! He answered my AAA call and fixed my flat tire in less than 20 minutes! From his initial phone call he was so positive, reassuring and made me feel safe.
