I'm new to the area. I stopped into Boca Bargoons Ft Meyers location to ask a question about a bench that I was having reupholstered. After patiently waiting my term I asked the sales person (Debbie) if she had any suggestions on how to secure a bench cushion. She offered no assistance or input . She was more interested in chit chatting to the previous customer on how she was so spoiled as a child. She pointed over to the trim area and said you can go look back there if you want to.I have lots of design work to do in my new home .The selection of the fabric look nice but her rudeness was shocking . I would rather drive 3 hours to the lake Park location were they will assist you with a big job or a simple question . Very unwelcoming to a new resident. read more

I hate when people give bad reviews. I am a business owner and realize that I can't make everyone happy all the time. It's a fabric store. You pick out what you want and you purchase. If you are doing custom please understand the time it takes to hand-make something for you. I was delighted to find a fabric that matched the couch I bought. If you sew YOU KNOW what a fabric store looks like. A mass of material and bolts of every color and design...Please... most people that give bad reviews need to do a reality check...I'm not going there to use the bathroom. I'm buying fabric. This is not a place I frequent. I stopped in here with my wife for a "look see" because they were having a "big" sale (and I do love these "first to reviews"). Actually we weren't disappointed. This corporate chain is huge and has a large selection of, well, fabrics. We had free wine, free cookies & free cheese. What's not to like? Then we left... Oh, BTW, we would have bought something if we had found anything we wanted. But we didn't. read more

Selection at the Ft. Myers store is wonderful if you are seeking high quality, designer fabrics for drapes and upholstery. Many brand names and the prices are below retail. I like the layout of the store, it's categorized in color families so you have a way to break it down without losing your mind. Leave your husbands and friends and do this store alone to get the best approach. I need time to think and ruminate over the textures, colors and patterns and I don't need or appreciate lots of help or questions. I agree that the staff is somewhat aloof or disinterested but if you want help, they will help. I just don;t really need opinions and I don't plan to use their designer services. So wandering around, touching and pairing bolts, taking time to "see" the potential, I'm OK with the laissez faire attitude. I love this store and have had many very excellent purchases that have worked out beautifully. It's my happy place and I'm heading there tomorrow! read more

Pauline was excellent in knowing the dimensions and What was needed for the space. Our installer, Peter was a perfectionist. He was precise and so detailed in his work. He had to trim rods to fit space and made it perfect. Parts were missing from hardware and he waited until I could repurchase to install. Beautiful. Thanks!! read more

I remember Boca Bargoons as having a great selection of material and was looking forward to shopping there for a current project. However, this was how the visit went: I walked in and immediately was greeted by two large statues of women with large DO NOT TOUCH signs slung around their necks, as well a DO NOT TOUCH on the baby grand in the middle of the store. Not inviting. Why even have them there? Next, I notice the overwhelming stench of something old - mothballs? mildew? not sure. Ok - I can still shop if they have what I need. After not locating what I needed, I asked the woman at the desk who could not have cared less about helping me. "If we have anything like that, it might be at the front." and she picked up the phone to dial someone. Wow. With their pricing, you'd think they could at least be kind and helpful. I purchased beautiful fabric from Boca Bargoons and they made beautiful curtains from it for me. I get compliments on the curtains all of the time. They also recovered my dining room chairs and they also look amazing. Yes, it did take awhile but if you are getting something custom, it's not an instant process. If you want instant go to Bed, bath and Beyond. You get what you pay for and if you want something that looks beautiful you have to wait for it. I highly recommend them! read more

Not sure about the other locations, but the Fort Myers store is awful in terms of customer service. Their front desk person - younger woman, long dark hair, is so rude, and pretty clueless. I probably shouldn't pick on just her because the "designers" there are not much better. They seem to have the attitude that they are working in a high end boutique on Madison Avenue or something. (They don't look like it though. Just sayin.) There is a man (maybe owner or manager) who is very helpful.....try and seek out him if you need help with anything. read more

I frequent Boca Bargoons very often. Usually either Fort Meyers or Sarasota stores. I understand the split and that they are now owned by different people. However....i was in both stores this past week, and couldn't believe the difference! Fort Meyers store was disgusting!! It was so dirty and disorganized, that I was appalled. The bathroom was falling apart, literally. This is a place that upped their prices and selling designer fabrics. The place, besides dirty and unorganized, was not a friendly place to be. Aisles we're closed off with large bags of pillow firms and whatever else. All that needs to be done, and the only employee (not friendly) was behind the counter playing on an iPad!! Felt there was false advertising also with coupon that said 50-75% off everything. Never saw one item over 50%!! The Sarasota store that has been recently remodeled is beautiful!! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The place is so organized, clean and actually boutique-like, rather than an outlet!! Fort Meyers store needs to be organized and cleaned. Prices were way higher than ever before I am a designer that sends hundreds of dollars every time I visit. Yesterday, while in Fort Meyers, I couldn't buy anything!!! read more

Sad to have to give a bad review. Purchased the fabric for my draperies here. A wonderful selection. I paid totally upfront to have the drapes made, and was told 4-6 weeks. Ok that's reasonable and with Covid acceptable. We're going on 8 weeks and told they're MAYBE going to be on the truck next week!! Not one call to let me know updates. I suppose if Paul was waiting for a balance of payment, he might be more interested in communicating. read more

Pauline, who is in the custom reupholstery section is wonderful to work with here but unfortunately will be retiring soon. But with that being said, the rest of the staff including the owner, Paul, act as if they're doing you a favor if they help you In any way. And forget anyone putting a smile on their face! The blonde woman there is always complaining about her job, lack of staff to help her and will even scold you if you touch anything! Don't pick up a fabric roll by all means! It's a shame they could have a gold mine there. But I believe they are understaffed and certainly need some education about personal service. read more

Lovely fabrics, disingenuous staff. Did you know that you can buy the exact same fabric from thier online shop for a third of the price? I did not and when I showed DD the $60 /yard fabric I bought at the storefront she showed me they sold the exact fabric online for $20 yard. Free shipping (the store was going gto charge me $37 to ship) when I brought this to thier attention AFTER I paid $60 a yard the response was ' it costs money to have a showroom where you can browse the beautiful fabrics'. No no no. Don't get caught in thier web of deceit. I found the so called Kravat' fabric I was going to buy 30 yards of elsewhere. - not labeled Kravat and $24 a yard versus no a bargoons $90 a yard. read more

We stopped in today, Friday 4-7-17 at 1:45 pm to buy 6 yards of fabric my wife picked out a day earlier. She is a licensed full time Interior Designer and I am a sales representative. We have never in either one of our careers ever been treated so poorly by a sales representative. I hate to give the store a one star because it seemed very well stocked with reasonable prices, however based on the experience we had with the sales rep we would never recommend anyone to shop at this store. read more

I have to agree with the other reviewer who wrote about the poor customer service here. I've shopped (and spent hundreds of dollars!) here and always find the employees not just unhelpful but unfriendly too. The girl with the long hair doesn't have good people skills and the gentleman who I assume either owns or manages the shop has always been very aloof. I have found the designers--who are not employees of the store--to be more helpful than the staff. I think the next time I have a decorating project, I will take my business to another Boca Bargoons location. Regardless of how nice the fabrics may be, I like to feel my business and presence is appreciated! read more

Whilst the fabric selection is outstanding, the service provided by the in house "designer" is appalling. She came to my home to see what I wanted reupholstered and made, including bed comforters, Euro shames, bed coverings, etc. The day of delivery, after cancelling my scheduled appointments, she was a no show. When I called to enquire where she was was , I was told that she had not checked the order and that the comforter had been made incorrectly. When the order was finally delivered several weeks later, the bed skirt was constructed incorrectly. Again I called asking when I could expect it and her disrespectful answer was that" you'll get it when I get it" . I have reached out to the owner, but have yet to receive the bed skirt. Extremely poor service and design recommendations by the so called designer. Buy the fabrics, but use another designer and upholstering service. read more

Boca Bargoons has a nice selection of fabrics. However, the workroom associated with the store, Custom One Interiors, is, well, awful. They promised 4 small cushions would be ready in a week to ten days. After a month, they still weren't ready. After several calls and visits to the store, they finally were ready for pickup. When I went to get them the fabric had been put on the wrong way and 2 cushions were missing zippers. They would not refund my deposit, and, since I was leaving town, I was forced to take them as they were. NIGHTMARE!!!! read more

Great fabric but horrible service from Custom One Interiors. I placed an order that was pretty straight forward and quite a bit. Just over 3k. The order was placed April 18, 2015 and I was told it would be ready approx 6-8 weeks. I had to constantly follow up after the 6-8 week period. I was told (with attitude) that the person I placed the order with had a health issue and no one could help me. July came around and I was told my order was ready for installation and the remaining balance needed to be paid. My 10 chair covers were ready but 3 cornices, drapes, 4 pillows and table runner were not ready. Went to the store and paid it. I was told I would get a call that week to set up installation. Never received a call so called them back and was told that someone in the work room now had a health issue. Weekly calls have been placed to date my order is still not complete by 11/18. That is 7 months! I've heard at least 7 excuses now and the owner now is gone until after Thanksgiving. They said, "If it makes you feel any better at least 5 other customers are having the same experience". Let's hope by the end of the year I get my order. A claim has been filed with BBB in hopes that no other consumer has to go through this! Excuses I Was Given: from several people that work there. Problem Ordering Fabric Designer (Custom One) Had a Health Issue (out for 3-4 weeks) Person in the work room then had a health issue Designer was new and not trained The system they use to order is very poor Valances Possibly Given To Another Customer At least 5 times I was Asked "Now what did you order and what fabric was it"? Now the order was complete but I was called to say that the workroom put on the wrong fabric. New fabric being ordered. helps others learn about great local businesses. Love this place. The reviewer who said the corporate chain was huge.....is uninformed. Local to Florida. As a life long seamstress, I love the selection and think whoever does the buying has a great eye. If you cannot find the home décor fabric you need in this store, you either have no taste or are not looking. I got a lot of helpful suggestions and they did my custom bedding and cushions. They are always booked up for a good while but the quality makes it worth the wait and it is made in America. I did have an issue with one of the items I ordered and they redid it and got it right back to me, no questions or excuses. I have been to every fabric store all over for many years and this is one of the best and they offer custom work like bedding, cushions, drapes, cornices and lots more. I highly recommend! They even had a designer come out to my place to help me with some stuff and I just had a blast doing it, so nay sayers be gone! read more
