Highly recommend! During Covid my Tom Ford glasses snapped at the frame. I took them in and was very well taken care of! They didn't have the same frame in stock and sending them back to Italy would of taken forever. They went and found other Tom Ford frames for me to try based on the shape of my current lens!!! I just had my first appt at Bocaview with Dr. Ryan. The staff was so helpful in helping me understand insurance. Who ever really understands completely anyway? :) I've had glasses since I was 5 and contacts since I was 10 - at 30 years old, this is the first time I can say that I left the eye doctors feeling great. Dr. Ryan answered all of my odd questions and made me feel comfortable about my eye issues. I was able to have a new technology done on my eyes that replaced the eye dilation, making my afternoon much better. This is the best optical business I luckily found since moving to Fl 3 years ago. Dr Beck and his staff are amazing. Dr Buck corrected my prescription and gave me hope that I might be able to wear contacts again by improving my dry eyes with his special care. I walked out without making a purchase. All of their frames and lenses were rather expensive. As a "kindness", the salesman took 25% off all the prices. After he entered the order, I presented the $150. voucher that I purchased on Yelp. He refused to honor it since he had already given me a discount. (Incidentally, the $150 was less than the 25% discount). I asked for the insurance company rate, and he refused to give it to me. I then asked if he would lose money if he applied both the discount and the voucher. He said "yes", and I said that I did not want him to lose money so I would take my business elsewhere read more

Very disappointed this year. Went last year and purchased two frames, one of them Lindberg and other Flexon, the transition, varilux, etc lenses and walked out for about $1100 on my vision insurance plan. This year, same plan & lenses, cost about $450 for one set of the same lenses for the lindberg frames. I wanted to make sure the new lenses were ok before getting ones for the second frame simce my prescription had changed quite a bit. After looking through the new lenses I was ok with getting the second set of lenses however I then found out they were going to be about $500. Ridiculous and they were doing me a favor on the second set of lenses with 50% off. The person who took my prescription this time did nothing other than entering the order since I was using the same frames so no cost for Boca Optical on setup. Yesterday I popped into Bocaview on Andrews on the off chance that they had the right tool to repair my sunglasses. This was my fourth stop about this issue. I was welcomed as if I were a longtime, favorite customer. The technician took a quick look at my problem and said, "I know I can fix this!" The receptionist offered a seat while I wait "a few moments" and indeed it was only a few moments. My perfectly repaired sunglasses were returned to me - "Here you go, all fixed." I asked how much I owed. The reply was "Not a thing." The entire experience from customer service to knowledge and professionalism was a joy. I will be returning for services that I pay for! I was due for my yearly exam and decided to try Somewhere new. Alison, The technician, was very friendly and personable. She explained everything she was doing as she was setting up each machine. The doctor was by far one of the best ones I've ever been to. He was very thorough and explained everything step-by-step. I have been wearing contacts for over 20 years and never had a doctor explain to me why I have irritation from certain brands. Dr. Beck showed me my eye and it's curvature and explained that the lenses were not fitting both eyes correctly which was causing the irritation. He had me try several different pairs and took the time to check the fit of each one to find ones that fit me well and didn't irritate my eyes. Now I know why I was having so many issues. After reading such great reviews about this location, I decided to give it a try. Without a long story, I'll just get straight to the point. Dr. Beck is great! Very patient and helpful. He definitely listens and does his best. As for the staff, I wouldn't say the same. They tell you what you're going to get without giving options. They will pick the most expensive products (lenses from my experience) having you pay a higher out of pocket than needed. So before going to this location, know and understand each detail of your benefits because they will take full advantage of you and the insurance company of course. When I began to question them of the cost, they became extremely defensive (specifically Ryan who is the store manager) and continued repeating "you are receiving the best quality lenses" rather than to listen to you as the customer and take care of you in the way needed. Not only that, but because the lens is a "better quality" it takes longer for you to receive which is about 2-3 weeks when they promote same day lenses. I've never experienced having to pay such high costs at other locations as I have here at Bocaview. It's truly disappointing that I had such a poor experience with them because I was truly excited to find a new location closer to my home that had such great reviews. read more

Dr. Beck is one of the best! I've worn contacts for 20+ years and rarely have had a change in vision. Just recently I had been noticing that I was having trouble focusing on items that were close up. I self diagnosed myself, thinking I would need bifocals. Dr. Beck took the time to explain what was happening to my eyesight and made a slight switch to my prescription. After two weeks of no issues I called in to place an order and the contacts came back within a couple of days. I'm going to have to reverse my high opinion of Bocaview Optical. Although I adore Dr. Beck and truly appreciate his great abilities as an optician, the staff is pitiful. Last year they messed up my prescription twice, never called when they said they would and it took more than a month to finally get my prescription filled. Now they have messed up my current lenses, I'm still waiting for the corrected lens, and they still have yet to call me. "Just about to call you" has been a very frequent conversation. The service here is amazing. I was in desperate need of new glasses and started with an eye exam. The option to pay a little extra for the Optomap and not have to dilate my eyes was such a relief! The exam was thorough and the Dr. Beck was wonderful. I wasn't rushed and he answered every question. While Dr. Beck is an excellent doctor who I would recommend to anyone, I ran into an altercation with the staff while choosing lenses. In the past, my insurance covered the full cost of my script. The frames my insurance covered were no longer available, so I was shown a set of frames that were allegedly in my price range. I was not made aware of their pricing and simply picked based upon best fit and aesthetic, blindly believing that the staff member had my financial best interest in mind. When she told me the price (frames and lenses) I was greatly taken by surprise at the cost. She insisted that there was nothing cheaper and lied directly to my face. I found a number of frames cheaper with the assistance of another staff member. She treated me very poorly for not being wealthy and made me feel uncomfortable. Upon entering the shop at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon I was greeted by two salesmen sucking on Lollipops that asked what I wanted. When I said I was looking for eye glasses they seemed bothered that I was interrupting their leaving early. After 30 minutes of working with the associate who never asked for the order, I was pressing him to give me a price while on the selling floor and got no quotes. When we settled down with three frames I still go no price until we reviewed my excellent insurance. This created a problem however since I was told that they could not discount the older frame I selected from a cache of unmarked older frames they "found" in a drawer. I asked for a discount and offered to meet them with out of pocket up to $100 in addition to what they would be paid on my insurance. During this time one female technician came by and told me there were lower priced stores in Boca. Then the other salesman who was not taking care of me suggested I go to their competition Sears for other selections. This store offered me a discontinued style that I was glad to purchase and they told me that their boss was only going to make $59 from the insurance. they told me that if I came in privately they could work a better price. I came in for reading glasses. The saleman showed me that I could get coverage for progressives but since I was taking the upgrade which was free from my insurance company they would not make the sale stating those lenses cost them too much. They were unprofessional blasting their Pandora music loudly, taking down to me because I did not look like their regular customer. With a desire to sell only at full retail for a 1+ year old frame I will not be able to recommend this store. A wise shopper can do alot better. My insurance company will not be happy to learn I was told I would get a better price without the insurance. After dealing with another company for many years I was dismayed that the industry is still trying to convince people to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on simple frames. read more

Though I hate to admit it, I am usually very reluctant to go to an eye doctor. I get anxiety about anything getting close to my eyes and it's never fun when my eyes are dilated. When I went to Boca View, I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that their technology was so advanced that they were able to take pictures of the back of my eye, eliminating the necessity of dilating my eyes. Dr. Beck was extremely attentive and took the extra time to explain everything he was doing and make me feel comfortable and cared for. The Bocaview staff were extremely friendly and personable. One of the technicians even helped me pick out a pair of glasses, which I continue to get complements for. I finally have the right prescription, have less headaches, and am seeing better than ever. Not impressed. Went in to look at frames and check the place out where they had decent reviews on yelp. A gentleman greeted me and was nice. They had none of the frames I had previously seen at other stores but he showed me several others that they carry. He showed me a frame that I really, really liked but a name brand I had never heard of. I simply asked why a plain plastic frame, from an unknown designer, that appeared to have $15.00 worth of material were proved at $400.00. With that he walked away and never returned. He then went and started assisting others that had just walked in and ignored me as if I was not in the store any longer. I had made an early review praising this business with Dr. Beck but since then I would like to report an incident while trying to find the right "fit" contact lens. After about the third time the contact lenses worn feeling right, I was charge for another exam within the six-month period. I paid that and again try to get the right fit. I actually got so frustrated and just put the lenses aside and then about a month later I picked up the contacts to give them another try. When I call back the practice, Dr. Beck said I would have to pay for another exam. I thought this was ridiculous since I already had paid for one eyeglass exam, and to contact lens exam within a two month period. I was not going to pay for a third exam. I waited until my insurance year was up and made an appointment with Eyes on Linton. Dr. Chapman examine my eyes and interpreted his tests and fitted me for contacts. Today's the first day I was able to wear and had great success wearing them all day and night. As it turns out, the prescription was incorrect. Now I actually have to even change my lenses in my glasses for an additional cost. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Beck and my experience at Bocaview Optical. I had Lasik about 7 years ago and hadn't been back to the eye doctor since. Dr. Beck was so friendly and immediately put me at at ease. I was also very impressed with the new technology his office offered- no dilation, no drops! As he administered the different tests, he explained to me exactly what he was looking at. I was so happy, I sent my grandfather in to get new frames. The best optical store I have ever been to! I went to seven different optical stores from Port St. Lucie all the way to Ft. Lauderdale comparing prices and service and this was the last one I visited and turned out to be the best of all of them as far as the best price offered to me for buying two pairs of eyeglasses with prescription lenses and also the best service that I had received from the store manager, Ryan and the rest of the staff who were the most professional that I have ever experienced from the beginning all the way to the end. Ryan was very professional, courteous, honest and very polite and gave me the best consulting advice of any optical specialist that I had seen previously to seeing him. He was very thorough right to the end when I went to pick up my two pairs of eyeglasses yesterday and made sure that I was happy with the fit, the prescription and even told me that I could stop in anytime for any adjustments needed and also free refills of lens cleaner for my eyeglasses as well! Love love love this place! Dr. Beck is the best Optometric Physician. He was really patient, understanding, efficient & extremely helpful. He was very quickly able to match the best prescription to my vision & I successfully walked out with a fantastic pair of trial contact lenses. He even gave me enough for a week to see how my eyes adjusted to the new prescription and contact lenses brand. Dr. Beck asked me to come back in a few days to make sure I felt comfortable with my new contacts & to check how my eyes responded to them before I finalized my order for them. I have never -ever - been treated as poorly as I was yesterday when I arrived at Bocaview Optical. I had called in advance to see if they stock contact lenses and was told to come on over.. I drove 45 minutes to get there.. Apparently the person I spoke to on the phone was busy -someone else seemed sort of willing to "fill in" for him -but then got entrenched with another customer..I had an idea that I was being passed around as they did not see a lot of dollars coming from me. I was left at the front desk - at the mercy of a receptionist/administrator - who was FAR MORE interested in training someone sitting next to her then HELPING the customer in front of her.. I had to watch them for 10 minutes while she taught the girl how to scan a doc and set up a file - THEN she bothered to turn to tell me they didn't in fact stock my lens-but I could come back tomorrow.. Why on earth would I come back tomorrow to be treated like @@$#... By the end of the day - I found an AWESOME OPTICIAN in Fort Lauderdale- who HELPED me with my problem - when I was standing in front of them.. This other shop was a HAPPY place and clearly busy as all get out.. NOT the weird vulture like vibe of Bocaview Optical.... worst customer service experience I've had in about 20 years....Don't go!!! read more
