If you advertise thin crust NY style pizza, you better make sure it's cooked properly. My Super Bowl pizza was soft and gummy. Use your fancy oven to make a crispy, supportive crust. My 500 degree home oven makes a better crust. At least the taste was ok, hence the 2nd star. read more

What a disappointment we had tonight. This particular store is a hit or miss and tonight was a big miss. It started with the calling in the order....wanted to order on line, but the pizza area doesn't work well. The girl that answered was rude and not very helpful. I wanted a large pizza, half cheese, half Italian, told that I can't do that....didn't care about the price, not willing to help me. I ordered the food to be picked up at 7:30...a full hour from my call. Got there and the pickup wasn't ready. They hadn't made the salad. Waited another 15 minutes....there was basically no one in the place. Another gentleman was there trying to pick up his food as well....we both laughed at how ridiculous it was to order ahead and still have to wait for our orders. One of the girls looked confused, the other looked put out. Got home with the food and the salad was missing some ingredients and the pizza was lacking sauce and cheese. After spending about $35.00 for a pizza and a salad....and being extremely disappointed with the final product....I don't think I'll go back. No value for the money spent and service from the to go counter was appalling. I don't believe in supporting a local business during off season if this is what I'm gong to get for my money. read more

The overall experience is a high note. The server Amanda "Mandy" really had no personality. She did refill our orders and serve us fast. The cook's in the back were awesome. Our pizza was a sheer delight, with cheese, bacon, banana peppers, olives, meatballs, mushrooms, onions, salami and sausage. We also had the Alfredo, and we had 2 beers, a coke and 2 Maker's Mark. For $88 at a pizza joint, it was really spendy, but the food was delicious. We may go back but pricing of competitors will dictate that decision. read more

Consistently yummy pizza. We've been getting it "to go" several weeks now. The Pick up windows is a plus, you don't even step foot inside to get your order which is a great safety measure! Today we decided to stay & be waited on in the outdoor seating area. Covid precautions were in place, distanced tables & waistaff masked. Our server Justin was terrific. The "small" Caesar salad was big enough fir two to share. It was super fresh & crisp & not dripping in dressing (yay!) Our sausage pizza was good as always. The draft beers fairly priced. Very disappointing. For what we paid for a large pepperoni pizza and 10 wings, I expected a lot better. The pizza was lazily made, most of the pepperoni was on 1 side. Some slices had 2 pieces, some had 10 and there was nothing setting it apart from the chain pizzas. Wings were ok but did not look like the pictures. Not worth the money. Better quality at 5 Star. first visit to this pizza place heard it was a wonderful pizza unfortunately it was nothing close to that. we order 18" caprese pizza and garlic knots to be picked up at 6:15 we arrive at 6:15 told at window pizza is ready they forgot the garlic knots so 30 min later we have ask where our food is they tell us they forgot the knots and are making them on the fly. finally revive food 45 min after scheduled time to pick up food. we get home and pizza is ice cold and knots are so grease that they are un edible. will not be back.. read more

This was our first time trying Bocca Lupo and they did not disappoint! We got a cheese pizza for the kids and they loved it! We also got the Spaniard which is a delicious combination of chorizo and cilantro. The green pepper and onion finished up our order and it was equally delicious. Being going there for 5 years even called a higher manager about last time half the tables were dirty and only 2 couples including us were there and servers standing around. Another time and first and last take out the pizza was soggy and the toppings were not cooked in. Yesterday we went for the last time to north port. Ordered xtra crispy jersey. Server came and told us they had a large order so it would be awhile as they had not started our pizza so we ordered an appetizer. Guess what. Pizza and appetizer came out together within 5 min. That was the last we saw of our server that was new as we have never seen her before. The pizza was far from crispy and even the 2 pieces we took home and put in toaster oven did not crisp. New favorite pizza spot! Being from the NYC area I know what good pizza is and I finally found it. It's just as good as the coal fired pizza up north. The pizza dough iij s so soft with the right amount of crisp and coal taste. My go to is a fresh garlic pie with extra cheese and they nailed it. The calzones are delicious and huge for the price. Their marinara sauce is king. All around good pizza and the toppings are so varied that you can make your own creation. Recently tried a fresh garlic, prociutto, hot peppers and extra cheese! Yum. Great meal specials and service. our Server Garret was super knowledgeable about all the specials. We ended up with the small family pizza special for $28. Came with an antipasto salad large enough for 4 diners, 6 crispy chicken wings and a delicious medium pizza with 8 nice size slices. Garrett was friendly, quick and attentive. Yum! read more

Have been several times for Pizza and Wings and enjoyed each visit. Tonight was a different story. We decided to order sandwiches from the menu. For two sandwiches and 10 wings it would be 45 minutes. It took an unbelievable hour to finish the order!!! Our neighbors ordered their food 20 minutes after ours and it was ready before ours was! When asking the about our order, the window staff didn't seem to really care. Needless to say the mood was set and we didn't really enjoy the sandwiches. my wife and I have been going since they opened and we have had great service and food in the past. aAboit a few months ago I ordered a carry out and we always order the same thing, a cert white pizza add light sauce to it. I picked it up and they put the sauce on the side. They apologized and refused my money. My wife and I were there in Thursday and we sat down and ordered. The waitress came back telling us the cook said they can't do it. I asked to speak to a owner and they brought over a manager that basically told me I'm a Lier and they have never added sauce to a white pizza. First of all coming from a Italian family that has owed and operated pizza places, this is not a difficult request. I have always ordered this way and after being told I'm a Lier from the woman manager, I will never return to this establishment and will let others know of the horrible experience I'v had,so they don't have to. read more

Went there for lunch with a friend and we ordered a small pizza with mushrooms and sausage. when the pizza arrived we really had to look for the sausage... They were little pieces about an eighth of an inch... In addition to that the mushrooms appeared to be freeze-dried and certainly not juicy. As for the pizza itself, I liked it but it was not as hot as you would think coming out of a Tuscan oven which leads me to believe that it just might have been made prior & put into the oven to reheat I could be wrong about that but I expected a lot more from this place at least for the pizza to be hot... However there's no excuse for the meager pieces of sausage it wasn't even Visible. I'll give them one more try maybe it was just a bad day. Jimmy G read more

we were at this place tonight. Party of six. Since I favor the North Port store by a mile, we gave the new place a shot. Unfortunately it fell short. No where near the attention to detail, that you get in the other Restaurant. This is a pretty busy place. Good location. Pizza not bad, but not all of that either. I asked for Extra sauce and 'Extra" mushrooms. I told our waiter [Justin} when they thing it's enough mushrooms, then add more. Money no object. My wife and I always get the sauce to the end of the pizza/w the cheese and Extra sauce. I know the pizza guy is trying to keep up. ATTENTION to detail is king. People/ regulars as we are, don't mind waiting for top notch Pizza. This place falls short indeed. The other 4 guys had some reservations as well. I guess we will just go to North Port restaurant, and stay away from the other two. I suggest you do the same; unless your expectations are not as high as ours. read more

We ordered take out from them, trying to support local businesses, during this quarantine! We were not disappointed! We tried their maple mustard wings and they were probably the best we have ever had in Florida! They were meaty and cooked to perfection with wonderful flavor! We also got a pizza with sausage, mushrooms and roasted peppers. It was absolutely delicious! Crust was thin and crusty, pizza was very flavorful and toppings were ample. We enjoyed it so much, we ordered wings again a few nights later for dinner. The ease in ordering and paying over the phone (very friendly staff) and picking up at the outside window makes this a great venue. We will be regulars and look forward to trying many of their other menu items in the future. read more

Last night was my first time at Bocca Lupo and it's my new favorite pizza spot!! We ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza, an antipasto salad, a Caprese salad, and the Arthur Avenue pizza to share for four. The pizzas were to die for and Halle our server was a sweetheart. Can't wait to go back! Update: We went back on a Saturday evening with some of our friends and the food was just as good, but the service was shocking. We were one of the only two tables in the restaurant. Opposite from the very friendly and attentive Halle we had previously, Angela took care of us. We ordered a pitcher of sangria, it came with no straws which we had to grab from the bar because apparently Angela had forgotten that we asked for them in between cleaning her dirty tables and vacuuming. We ordered two appetizers that came out without plates. Finally, our desert was served in a paper bag and plopped on the table with the check even though they still had 15 minutes until closing. We go out very frequently and I work in the service industry; last night was the first time I've left a 15% in years. Food was amazing, but our service was appalling.
