Our large group arrived at 12pm on Wednesday April 22, 2026, and was immediately received a warm welcome by Angelo, Mike and Chef Rocco! Our ladies dine on their Italian wedding soup as an appetizer which was hot, flavorful with tiny meatballs, escarole, tiny pasta, and savory broth. Entrees were a myriad of Chef Rocco's delightful dishes, carpaccio, chicken piccata, an array of pasta dishes, Italian sausage & peppers , meatball sandwiches, individual pizza's, and much more. However, the HUGE hit of the day mostly all seemed to desire was their chicken piccata! Oh so delicately delicious! Angelo not only made sure we were well cared for but also made sure our ladies will be part of an VIDEO ad of the rendition of "MAMA MIA" for their social media forums. Yes, we went twice in the last three weeks. First had the Veal Marsala and my husband had the Chicken Francese. We thought they were both DELICIOUS! The next time we were in, we both had the Chicken Francese and I agree with my husband that it was very tasty. He was very reluctant to try Rossini's. It took alot of convincing to get my husband, who was raised eating his Mom's and Grandmother's Italian dishes, to ever go out to an Italian restaurant. As I've said, we went back for more and will again. Only downside was while the Caprese Salad was good, it was small for price and had only a minute amount of basil. Otherwise, GO. TRY IT. The food and service are amazing. My favorite place for veal. Went last night with friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a couple with a dog in a stroller that were seated a table away from us[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . I'm a dog owner but wouldn't bring an animal in to a place serving food that isn't a service animal. A server was petting the dog , picked it up and fed it from her hand,so we know it wasn't a service animal. Hope the management takes this up with the server. Could be a health code issue. read more

Last night was our second visit to Rossini. We made early reservations. Our server was friendly and told us about the specials. I had seen on FB the Veal Milanese so that is why we came. We ordered a bottle of Borolo wine and started with fried calamari for an appetizer. Hot and crispy but not a very generous amount with a heavy coating. I ordered the cavatelli with baby broccoli and sausage. The bread has been changed from the garlic knots swimming in some kind of fake garlic butter sauce to rolls cut into quarters and served with a plastic container of olive oil and spices. The veal chop was huge, it had a very thick dark brown coating that looked deep fried, covered with arugula and cut up tomatoes, shaved parmesan and drizzled with a balsamic glaze. The crust was thick and tasteless and when you finally reached the veal, it was dry and tasteless as well. By now the arugula was a wilted mess. My cavatelli had been cooked previously as with many restaurants but many pieces were clumped together and very chewy.The sauce had very little taste. I asked for some cheese and was brought a shaker with cheese that you would find at a pizza joint. Our server never asked us how we liked our meal. Our total with tip was 214.00. We really wanted to like our meal, had high expectations and based on other reviews we thought our Anniversary dinner would be wonderful. read more

Incredible is the only word that is appropriate for the food and service at this wonderful restaurant. Our server, Sarah did an amazing job and despite a very busy night and lots of customers, was always cheerful and friendly. We had a little bit of everything, branzino, eggplant parm, and Stromboli. This restaurant is very unassuming and you would not think that you would have the caliber of food that they offer. The restaurant is in need of some updating but the service and food is excellent. We were all surprised. Chris provided great service and was very attentive throughout our meal. We had ordered the roasted red pepper and carpaccio for appetizers. I had the chicken francese which was big enough two share between two people. My dad has the veal francese which he said was the best he's ever had. My husband had the snapper which he loved. I was a little shocked to see the price increases here, I know everyone is making adjustments for tariffs and inflation but sheesh. My up-charge for noodles went from $2 to $3... chicken dish increased from $22 to $27. This dish was great (3.5 stars) but I would have liked more noodles and more sauce, forgot to ask for extra sauce . preferred the grouper honestly though, it was phenomenal on our last visit . from 10/25 to 2/26 Grouper increased from $29 to $35... I'd like to enjoy eating out but all the increases make it less enjoyable honestly, wine was $20, now $23... beer was $6, now $7. Great flavors here, & amazing staff. Our first visit was last year and it was so great that I could not wait to get back. It was the end of season and we headed back to NH. Upon our return our first visit back this year was to Rossini's and it was as great as we remembered. Everyone is friendly and service is wonderful. All dishes are authentic Italian. I love the Totto mare but all the dishes ordered by others was enjoyed and considered best ever. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area and we travel from Venice to enjoy it. read more

Charlotte County girlfriends had a lovely lunch today at Rossini By Chef Rocco. Not only were our servers helpful and friendly, they were very entertaining! They made sure that both tables got all of their food at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, about half of us, got the chicken piccata, but others enjoyed the tortellini, eggplant Parmesan sub, and the anti-pasta looked amazing. Small and noisy place for huge portioned Italian food for soild price. The food was good, but it wasn't great--none of the dishes quite hit the right spot. The escargot was served in a way we've never seen before, rather than they egg-basket ceramic dish that we're used to, it was served in a shallow bowl with 2x the escargot and 50x the liquid/sauce than usual. The Cesar salad came out room temp, but was pretty tasty. Linguine and clams in a white sauce were fine per my husband, but nothing special. My carbonara had a good taste, and portion was enormous. The sauce wasn't split which can be tricky with a carbonara, but there was excess sauce. That came in handy though for reheating the next day. We'll likely be back to try some more dishes. We came at 8pm and waited for a fresh table for a bit since they just had a huge out-the-door line the hour before. They just reopened (location was formerly Rossini Trattoria Gastronimica that was "fancier" and closed in 2022--but that was also more expensive) The prices were great, especially for a new restaurant in this economy. We stopped by Rossini for a late lunch on our drive south and it was fantastic. I had been missing a true Italian meal since visiting Italy and this place reminded me of how enjoyable it is to relax with friends over a lovely Italian meal. The Italian owner is good for dinner and a show! read more

I had a lovely time at Rossini, having lunch with my mom. Although the pizza was delicious, I was surprised by the price. We would visit more often if we could get a pie for under $16.00. The wine selections are terrific, and although we didn't try any other menu items, I am familiar with Chef Rocco's food when he was cooking in Bradenton, so I'm certain it would have been just as good! read more

Excellent Italian food; however, we stopped going because the waitress (not sure if she's still there) was incredibly moody. We happened to hit the place when she was in a bad mood, and she made sure everyone knew. She was even dropping F-bombs. The waitress brought out some Garlic Knots that were dry and some were hard as a rock and cold.I was hoping the food would be better but it wasn't. I ordered the Chicken Masala, the Chicken was poor quality and the Pasta tasted like it was laying around for hours and reheated. The Masala sauce was on the salty side, my wife had the same complaints with her meal.I ordered a Stella beer and even that wasn't too cold. Worst Italian food experience i ever had. The garlic knots they brought to the table were obviously made the day before. You needed a chain saw to cut through them. The seafood in the spaghetti tutto mare was so over cooked I couldn't remove it from the shell. I had it prepared in white sauce which was just olive oil no seasoning and the pasta was mush. It was not eatable and was sent back. My wife had the baked manicotti and a meatball on the side. On a positive note the meatball and sauce were really good and the baked manicotti was acceptable. Hard to mess up manicotti if you have a good sauce. Very disappointed to say the least. read more

Quality of food is very good. Service is excellent. Our server was Rachel. You couldn't ask for better. My wife had the chicken picata - lunch menu size. It was all she could eat. 2 pieces of chicken. I had the chicken florentine. - dinner menu. It was all I could eat - 3 pieces of chicken breast. Italian food is a personal thing; kind of like Chinese food. Everyone has their own personal preference as to what "Authentic" should look and taste like. But I feel very comfortable with giving this place at least 4 stars because 90% of all Italian restaurants don't make chicken picata worth a darn. Theirs was very good. Excellent service and authentic Italian food. The spinach, white bean and sausage soup is a new favorite for me. I really didn't need anything more, but the chicken piccata was delicious.
