Today's Wednesday's lunch was at The Bistro 3515, previously known as Maggiore Bistro! Located at 3515 Bobcat Village Rd NP! What a beautiful complex on Toledo Blade! The gem of the complex is The Bistro, nice ambiance, decor and plenty of seating. Other lunchers were also enjoying their lunch as well in very pleasing atmosphere. Some of our ladies stated with Lobster Bisque Soup, Goat Cheese with Pita and Apple Fruit Jam, as well as other delights Entrees were a variety of Salads, handheld wraps, sandwiches of all types such as burgers, or chicken. Asking our girls everyone was very pleased with their lunch and the service was spot on by Connie and Jill. Every dish was hot, pleasant presentation, the drinks specials were their house sangrias, white, red, and pineapple/coconut tasted exactly like a pina colada! Neat spot, tucked out of the way in Bobcat. If you want Italian food at its best then consider a visit to this spot. Menu is not overwhelming and offers classic dishes. The staff members are helpful and very attentive, ambience is quiet low light and the decor is typical. I ordered Shrimp Scampi with Angel hair and wife ordered Chicken piccata both dishes were delicious and plentiful. Very nice dining experience. The food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was very pleasant and was quiet so we could enjoy our conversation without a lot of background noise. Only downside was they don't have a full beverage license however they made up for it with their beer and wine. After all when eating Italian nothing goes better than a nice glass of wine. read more

We are new to the area, looking for new favorite places to put in our rotation for our regular date nights. This small, cute, family run local Italian place is definitely a new favorite of ours! We have only lived here 2 months and have been here twice. We HIGHLY recommend visiting between 4-6pm on Wednesday nights to try their amazing rib special. It sells out quickly, so try to get there early They have many bbq sauces to choose from. My guy likes the Bourbon one, & I like the cranberry one...but we are looking forward to trying all of them! They have a great variety of items on their menu, not just Italian. My guy loved their burger the first time we went, and he's super picky. The service was great, and the ambiance was nice as well. Good place and good service. Eventhough we were only here for like 30 - 40 minutes... we could see the place was busy for late lunch and service runs fast. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The meatball sub was good... the tomato sauce is fresh and lite. Good contrast to the crunchy bread and soft juicy meatballs. Overall a good place for a quick lunch. Well, unfortunately we are now done with this restaurant. It had been one of our favorites for many years. It is under new ownership and we felt we wanted to give them a chance, but after three visits we can no longer support this once great 'hidden gem'. We had reservations at 6:15 this evening and for the first time didn't have to wait 30 minutes to get our table. It took almost 15 minutes for the server to come take our drink order, even though she kept apologizing and said she would be right with us. We ordered the red wine sangria which had been one of the best in town along with the boom boom shrimp appetizer. another 10 min and our drinks finally arrived and 10 more min and appetizer. Now just before 7pm and server took our order, but before that shared they were out of butter for the bread, prime rib (special of the night), out of shrimp and out of veal (I have always ordered veal piccata over angel hair). So I settled for chicken piccata and my wife ordered chicken franchise. While others were seated and served their meals, we continued to wait. Finally ours arrived. Server asked if I wanted freshly grated parm over my meal which I said YES to, and then went off to settle a bill with another table, get to-go boxes for that table, then back to get a bag for the take-out boxes, then clear another table, then chat up another table. Finally the grated parm came, but at that point I said just box everything up as my meal was cold. I'm not sure if the problem is in the kitchen or the servers are just all over the place, but it is not worth the frustration and delays for us to go back. I certainly hope the new owners figure it out, but we won't be back. read more

Food was just okay. Been here a few times and it was always exceptional. Veal Marsala was a heavy battered piece of veal. This meal should be a delicate piece of veal. Wife's meatballs were actually disgusting. Wine selection is very limited. No choice of variety of wine. Better off going elsewhere for sure. Won't be returning. read more

Wow, Wow, Wow. After living in North Port for some time we found this hidden gem. A true local secret (let's keep it that way)! The ambiance is cozy, classy, and not over the top. Perfect for a quiet date night or dinner with the kids. Our service was also great, full drinks and frequent check ins throughout the meal made the experience great. To save the best for last the food! It was incredible. You could tell everything was made FRESH IN HOUSE. The food quality far surpassed any other local restaurant we had tried since moving to North Port. We will be back, often. I think the waiter should've asked. My wife went with Gourmet burger, but it had no sauce at all... Imho, the sauce is something that completes and combines all the ingredients into a single structure. She said same. If you like to support small business owners this is a little hidden gem restaurant. It's small and cozy and the menu has a nice variety. I had the ribs that were very good, they fall off the bone and you never have to get your hands dirty. You get several choices for a barbecue sauce and two sides. I didn't care for the coleslaw and my server asked what I would like to replace it with, I then had the baked beans and they were delicious.
