Bocca Nissa has a much more interesting menu than other restaurants alongside the beach in Nice. Its vegetarian dishes are miles ahead of the standard pizza and pasta at other eateries. Plus, the gorgeous rooftop dining space made this an obvious choice for lunch. While the setting and menu were excellent, the food itself was only solid, not remarkable. The vegetable section had multiple choices and the broccoli, carrots and sweet potato dishes were all enticing. But while I enjoyed them all, only the sweet potato was incredible. The broccoli had stracciatella for flavor and the carrots had tahini, but the sweet potato needed no additions to be a winner (though the yogurt underneath it was delicious as well). I would return for the sweet potato, but overall, the meal doesn't live up to its price tag, and I could similarly roast vegetables at home. But since I was only visiting town and did not have access to a kitchen, it was still a satisfying meal. read more
