We had an amazing four-course lunch here, and everything exceeded our expectations. Loving this cute place, it was very cozy and my parents can't stop praising this hidden gem, it has become our favorite restaurant in Nice! The food was exquisitely presented, featuring high-quality ingredients that highlighted creativity and vibrant flavors. The service was friendly and delightful. Their cocktail actually surprised me, it was very yummy and refreshing!

We had a cute prefixed lunch menu before hopping on board of a fairy. The restaurant is located in Nice's small streets in the center. The dishes were very well presented and did not disappoint. The staff was also very friendly. Perfect place for a beautiful lunch and drinks.

Le Panier offers a phenomenal tasting experience with 5 or 7 courses (vegetarian option available). We opted for the 5 course menu with a wine pairing and were able to taste a variety of delicious cuisine and French wines. Dishes are presented in French or English and the service was great at explaining the contents of each dish and/or story behind it. Be sure to book when you have plenty of time - this dinner is an event! As a party of 6, the 5 course menu took ~3 hours. The menu changes every month, would be glad to visit again on a future trip!

This place is a must go to!! We did the 7 course tasting menu and loved it!! Got to try so many delicious items and got a true sense of fresh locally sourced French cooking. The wait staff were all very friendly and attentive. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. My sister is gluten free and they were able to accommodate her. Anyone looking for a one of a kind dining experience should most definitely visit Le Panier!

Disappointing dinner experience. The host was rigid and not very friendly. My friend & I got there early for our reservation & after waiting a while, we were seated. The host seated us at a table next to heavy smokers. We understand in Europe, outdoor seating means there can be smokers but the couple was heavy smokers. We saw empty tables so we requested to have another table. The guys put up a fuss saying they were all booked. Only after speaking with the manager, it turned out there were some non-reserved tables & we got moved. We double ordered everything off the menu - one set for each of us. The food was generally fine with a few misses with the best dish being the pork. It was super tender & delicious. The most disappointing was the beef strips - I guess it's seared, slightly cooked on the outside but rawish in the middle. Both my friend & I had the same. His was great - tender and silky. Mine was tough, chewy & cannot be digested. After bringing it up with the waiter, he sent it back to the kitchen, they "recooked" it but it was still not edible. He graciously replaced it with a new one but sadly, it was the same. We let him know & sent it back as there were other dishes we can enjoy from the set we ordered. From my experience, most fine dining establishments would be embarrassed & would offer to take it off the bill. We would have declined anyway knowing everyone is trying to survive during the pandemic. Surprisingly, we were not made that offer. The fun in trying these experimental or fusion restaurants is discovering something delightful. The restaurant gave us an experience that was far from that. I wish them well but will not be coming back.

Read all the good reviews and decided to try for lunch. The restaurant is small and cosy with 10 tables upstairs and a few outside. The menu is limited with 4 starters and 5 Mains. I shared the burrata starter that came with the most delicious tomatoes and figs. The burrata was creamy deliciousness. I had the tuna tartar starter as my main. It was fresh and tasty with a hint of sesame and was topped with a fine julienne of veggies. My BF had the porchetta starter. He said it was melt in your mouth delicious. All washed down with a glass of great rosé. The waitress told me they have been open only 2 months and to make a reservation for dinner, especially if you want an outdoor table. I hope I can get back again to try their dinner menu. This place is a gem in Nice and I would definitely dine here again

The highlight was the local figs, feta and heirloom tomato appetizer. All 3 were amazing, and he covered them in a delicious black-olive olive oil that really came through in a fantastic way. We also got a delicious pesto pasta with homemade pasta and (you guessed it) high end olive oil. This was quite good as well. The owner was extremely kind, the service was fast and pleasant, and he truly looked to enjoy sharing his craft. It's a small homey restaurant on a crowded part of old town, but don't let that scare you away, definitely worth stopping by when you're in Nice!

Pesto spaghetti was cooked perfectly and had a mild flavor. Tiramisu was probably one of the best I have ever had, even better with the olive oil. The olive oil itself was a standout addition. Service- Nadim (owner) was lively and very attentive. A Nice Old Town celebrity chef :) Ambiance- Italian hole in the wall. I would highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to returning. Very small menu and you must make reservations in advance as the place only sits around 10 people. Open for lunch. Euro only.

Make reservations ahead of time (it's easy to do online) because this place will fill up for dinner. They have 4 appetizers to choose from, about 5-6 entrees and about 7-8 desserts to choose from, and the prices are reasonable for dinner: 24€ for plat + entree or plat + dessert, and 29€ for the 3 courses. Entrées: - Velouté de topinambour / Jerusalem artichoke soup - This soup was super, super creamy and buttery. I don't want to know how much cream and/or they put in here - it was good, but very rich. There was a piece or two of bacon, and the soup was tasty. - Trilogie de betteraves / Beets cooked three ways - I was looking for something healthier to eat, and was happy this was on the menu. I wasn't sure what to expect with this dish, other than it was beets cooked three ways. There was one little dish of beet salad with green onions or scallions, a small beet poached or roasted, and a beet purée that went well with the bread. I would recommend this appetizer if you want something on the lighter/healthier side and different. Plats: - Risotto with asparagus and tomatoes - My husband ordered this and it was good but not outstanding. He added the 2 pieces of seared foie gras for 5€ which made the dish better; I think it would have been a bit bland without the foie. The asparagus was very fresh and the risotto was on the lighter side which was nice. - Salmon with Cajun seasoning and leeks - This was different than what you'd normally find in a French restaurant since I've never seen Cajun spiced things before. The salmon was a little on the small side, but it was still good and the caramelized leeks on the side were a really perfect compliment. This dish was tasty and really good, but just a bit on the smaller side compared to all the other main dishes that were meat-based (from what I saw other diners getting) We were full so we skipped dessert, but it looked pretty good - they had things like a chocolate lava cake, a praline crème brûlée, spéculos tiramisu, and financier with a passion fruit center. Overall, a good meal that won't break the bank and that has a good selection of things on the menu. More heavier " comfort food " than lighter fare, and slightly less traditional French. The ambiance was very casual - it almost felt like you were eating in a graffiti park with dim lighting and metal walls, but overall, we had a decent meal at a reasonable price. The waiters here all spoke English well and it seemed most of the clientele were tourists.

We ordered the octopus salad and it was a very generous portion with an incredibly fresh tasting grilled octopus. It was a perfect size to share or you could have it as a light entree. Menu is small but what they do, they do very well. They have both indoor and patio seating. Aside from the tasty food the most memorable thing here was the wonderful service. We were seated right away and had a nice bread bowl with oil and balsamic vinegar to start as well as drink orders placed. This is not the place to order drinks but they do have quite a few non alcoholic drink options -juices, soda, etc. Overall I'd highly recommend checking this place out for lunch or dinner.

I ordered the sole, which was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. My friend had what they described as a clam linguini (which was actually more of a spaghetti). I tried some, and we both agreed that the dish came up short because it was missing something - maybe garlic? Despite the lack of favor in my friend's dish, but entrées portions were very generous, and our server recommended a very nice bottle of local red wine which we both very much enjoyed. We also shared a plate of specialty ham, which unfortunately was way too salty for either of us to have more than a few bites. Bottom line: Exceptional service and great prices. We enjoyed our visit enough that we might give them another try the next time we find ourselves in Nice.
