We love this place. We loved it as Bodega Bay Oyster Company, whether we could stop for lunch or just to pick up picnic items for the beach. They have great chowders and sandwiches and their oysters are oh so delicious! Now they have added Bodega Cellars next door, which is a tasting room for local small-batch wines and ciders (and beers.) You can get a flight, add some tasty snacks from next door, or simply pick up a bottle or two for the beach or home. They have great brands from local growers that you are not likely to see in major stores due to their small production. And when the weather gets nice, they have a great outdoor lawn seating area to enjoy. read more

Specialties

We pour local craft wine, beer, and cider not available anywhere else; paired with fresh oysters from our sister company Bodega Bay Oyster just next door. We also sell our products to take home, and have an offering of picnic items and small plates.

History

Established in 2019.

We started with Point Reyes Oyster Company farming shellfish in Tomales Bay in 1985. We expanded to Bodega Bay Oyster Company in 2014 with a retail store and begain farming in Bodega Bay. Now we opened a tasting room to pair amazing local wines and ciders with our delectable oysters and shellfish.

Meet the Manager: Lindsey S.

Lindsey Strain, the daughter of founder Martin Strain, has been working and co-managing our company since 2015. After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Lindsey realized her life-long dream of working outdoors with the family. Becoming a vital contributor in the opening of our retail store, Lindsey has proved herself to be an invaluable asset to Bodega Bay Oyster Company and now to Bodega Cellars.

Fresh fruit & veggies, packaged goods. We couldn't find prices on some of what we were buying so we brought them to the register to ask. And some prices on the shelves were old. They had 4 big cabinets full of propane tanks. Price for 5 gallons was $22.

It was incredible and an absolute game changer. Moist, flavorful, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The portions were generous, the quality was excellent, and every bite was worth it.
