Parking is easy. Service at the market was great. Lots of variety of fresh fish and items to purchase. Ambiance was bright not too bright, very neat and tidy market, and the fish area was clean.

The clam chowder I bought to take home was so watery and more celery than anything. Made the drive out there for that. Total DISAPPOINTMENT!

Food- didn't purchase anything pre-made. All of the ingredients were delicious and when combined, made one heck of a paella. Service- seemed just fine. We went on a weekday so there were very few customers besides us. Nothing plentiful but that'd also be unwarranted. Ambiance- very clean, which is a good thing for a seafood monger. Nice high ceilings and everything was well spaced. The sea air permeates the entire location as it's on the water. Yup, it's a little on the pricey side. You pay for the presentation as well as the location and freshness. Strange how it costs less to get it at your local market but these are the breaks. It's also a different product by the time it gets there versus here which is tens of feet from the sea.

There's not that many food choices in this small town so one afternoon we went to the back area of this store/restaurant and ordered from the fry counter. They had clam strips and fries which were plentiful and pretty good. I'd go again when if I had a snack attack

I bought 1/4 lb of delicious smoked pepper salmon and the girl was very snippy and unfriendly. The location is so cool with a great view of Bodega Bay

Such a fun market to get cheese, meats & vino! Located right out side the "hallway" & across from the general store

We had a wonderful time for his birthday! Dinner was delicious & the service was wonderful. We have been here before & will return.

We had a wonderful dinner. Food & service was great. I wish they would have asked where we wanted to sit, as the seating by the water would have been nice. It was a nice time for his birthday. Will definitely visit again.

This was my first time ever going into this market and oh my goodness it was so adorable!!! They even had one of my favorite NAPA wines from J.Gregory!!! I loved their assortment of local favorites like the Monterey taffy and even a whiskey toffee!! I wish I came by here before I had lunch because I could've definitely packed a cute little basket for the beach!

My favorite thing to do when visiting a new beach town is to stop and pick up some fresh seafood to make a delicious dinner for everyone. I stopped here and was not disappointed. They had a great selection and everything looked super fresh and clean. Despite quite a few random "foodie" items they also had more than a few local goods including fresh local sourdough. The market is connected to a restaurant and gift shop that I didn't check out. They had a lot of wines and a few beers although they could beef up their beer selection. The staff was friendly and attentive.

My folks really wanted to come here because of the movie The Birds. Sooo we did a quick day trip to Bodega. Some cute shops with local offerings. I bought my husband (who decided to remain home) some of their local confectionery items. It's a cute gift shop and market with smoked fishes and cheeses amongst locally made items. There are also clean bathrooms for a pit stop and a restaurant onsite (which I didn't eat at since we had other plans). Good place to get out and stretch your legs and snap some pics!

What a letdown by mediocre unfriendly rude staff. Many fond memories coming here 35yrs ago as a small kid in the 1980s. My parents used to come here back in the late 1960s after the Hitchcock movie "THE BIRDS" was filmed here in 1963 with tippy hedren. We made a special stop here and were pretty excited. Opened the door and it was like walking into a mausoleum. Remodeled but Very empty / quiet. Major negative vibes from the cashier girl at the gift shop. Who COMPLETELY Ignored us not even a hello / smile nothing. Super sour attitude. The whole time she was using a price gun stamping things at her register never turned around to look at us. We had to get her attention to BUY SOMETHING. Never got her name but she had some chin hair/stubble and she is in one of the photos (with her back turned!) Another older employee lady came up to her and right in front of us said frankly THERES A MAJOR disgusting mess in the ladies room that needs immediate attention and the chin stubble girl shrugged it off not caring in the least. We walked out back and some random elderly customers were chatting us up. Again maybe 2 people in the whole joint. I dont know who's running this place, but its a damn shame. Felt like i was in a bad part of eureka california jerome AZ / or the twilight zone. We were planning to eat here. But got outta here as fast as we could. Not planning a comeback anytime soon :(

There are large picnic tables by the bay and a breezy covered area if you're not wanting to sit in the sun. Parking is a bit limited, and it can get pretty busy during peak hours, but the wait for our food was very reasonable. I had the lobster roll--it was outstanding. The lobster was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with great flavor. The roll itself was soft, warm, and complemented the lobster perfectly. The fries were just as impressive, with the ideal crispy exterior and a perfectly fluffy potato center cut to just the right thickness. There's an assortment of local canned beers available as well. Overall, despite the limited parking and occasional crowds, the quality of the food and the waterfront setting make this a place I'll happily return to. Highly recommended if you're craving fresh seafood done right.

It's an unassuming, un-aesthetic sandwich but just simply real crab with light mayo and celery dressing. Only regret not getting 2 bc I'd have to brave the line again. Seemed to only have 1 person taking orders and also distributing orders so things were slow. Chowder was also my favorite one from this trip and my kids loved their chili (they sell bread loaves on the side if you need a dipper). Pro tip: not much parking, prepare for side of road and walk. It took them almost 15 minutes to serve the first customer in line and the food looks pre-made (chowder and sandwich meat). I ordered the crab sandwiches and white clam chowder. Nothing special about their famous chowder. The crab sandwich is basically a hotdog bun with salty crab meat. The line is long and the wait times are slow because of the workers. Prices are high, $22 per sandwich and $10 for a cup of chowder. I'm still giving them 2 stars overall because I like the view of bodega bay from here. I will not be coming back.

We had a tasty lunch with raw oysters and a jalapeño mignonette sauce, smoked trout dip, and a bowl of the chowder. The smoked trout dip was pretty good with the chip and pickled onion (my least favorite dish). The raw oysters with the mignonette sauce were fantastic...we went for two rounds! My favorite chowder in Bodega Bay was Spud's, but I think this one knocked it out. I enjoyed the smoky flavor to it! Our kids aren't seafood fans so I really appreciated their kids menu that had butter & cheese pasta. Their Bloody Mary was solid as well! The following day, we had the Wedge Salad and calamari along with a bowl of chowder. The salad was crisp and the combination of ingredients was perfect with all the textures and flavors of the bacon, cherry tomatoes, shoe string onion rings, and blue cheese dressing...the best wedge salad I've ever had! I loved the lightness of the calamari batter as well! This is a nicely decorated and clean restaurant. It was romantic with the view of the bay. I felt the customer service was a little off, but eventually our servers were nicer as both lunches went on. There was a Hispanic man that was very friendly and kept our water filled. We enjoyed talking to him. The customers sure were friendly with lots of smiles towards our kids. This is my favorite Bodega Bay restaurant. I look forward to bringing family and friends.
