Delicious food, great service, reasonable prices, and a range of items. I went for tapas and my friends enjoyed entrees. We ate outside which was spacious. In doors was large. Servers were kind. English was not as prevalent but that made it authentic. I had croquettes which were packed with ham. The tortilla espanola was a large portion. It came with fresh tomatoes. The texture was a bit mushy but it was well seasoned. One friend got the steak served with crispy potatoe wedges and the other the cod. Hands down both were amazing. Fish was some of the best with a cava sauce which was light. The steak was cooked to perfection and the wedges were tasty delights of crunch on the outside and softness in. Looking for something completely different? How about sharing a whole pig with 6 friends! The slowly cooked, golden and crispy entree was brought out and placed on a table next to ours. The aroma was amazing. The staff suggested that one of the guests remove the head table side so that one of the servers could then carve the rest of the meat. We had a volunteer and it was not as difficult a task as you might imagine. Not only were the people at our table taking pictures but many at others were also recording the show. There wasn't a fight as to who was going to enjoy the head, only 1 person asked for it! As with the rest of the meat it was absolutely delicious. The Cochinillo (the Spanish 12 to 20 lb roasted suckling pig) must be ordered weeks in advance. It's slow roasted for 4 to 5 hours. It comes with a choice of 2 sides. There was enough leftover to have for lunch the following day. A fun, delicious experience and not all that expensive when the cost was divided by 3 couples. read more

Bodega Ole reminded me of Spain and some of the Spanish cuisine I miss from Europe. The staff was friendly upon arrival. It was very slow for lunch on a weekday. In fact, I was the only customer during the hour I was there. I intentionally ordered a few items that were mild, but I should have ordered differently, as my choices were a bit boring. The Mediterranea salad ($22) looked good on the menu, but it was pedestrian, nothing special, and way overpriced for what I received. It would have been worth it for $12. I also ordered the albondigas (meatballs in tomato sauce for $9). Nothing special. They were meatballs in tomato sauce. Next time, I will order some of the other more interesting tapas including chorizo al vino, croquetas, patatas bravas, and tortilla espanol. I will give it another chance and make better decisions regarding what I order next time. I generally love Spanish tapas and this place has potential. read more

Mixed feelings about Bodega Ole. I really like tapas, read good reviews of the place, so we checked it out while in Naples. The outdoor patio is not too shady, just a couple of umbrellas, it makes it really hard to eat out there. We went around 5:30 pm and that sun was hitting the area strongly. The staff didn't seem to care much. I wish their patio was better, bigger, nicely arranged, with more shade so you can enjoy the nice weather. The restaurant is located across a garage, we went on a Sunday and the car place was still open and noisy. So we couldn't eat outside which makes it a no repeat visit for me. Food was just OK, not memorable. Wish the customer service was better. I wish the whole meal and experience was better! read more

This area of Naples starts to become more and more unique and fun. It's already 2 or 3 times we come and the restaurants are really different and excellent. Bodega Olé is a little Latino gem with a very romantic terrace at night. We came and were welcomed by the excellent host, very elegant. She gave us a good little table and the waitress from Argentina immediately offered us some champagne because it was my birthday few days ago! It was a nice surprise and generous gesture for our first time at the restaurant. The night we came they had a guitar band and it was excellent, not too loud, but very very entertaining. The service was fast! We ordered 6 or 7 tapas and it was on time. The tapas were delicious and again, generous. We ordered patatas bravas, Iberico ham, Sangre de toro, Grilled octopus and more. Everything was good, amazing experience. The place was full, not a surprise. They have also a large wine menu with a good selection. We loved the place. We discovered this hidden gem when we were searching for Spanish food since we love to visit the ironbound section of Newark and loved restaurants there. Last night we made a reservation to celebrate my wife's daughters birthday. We ordered a hole pig which is cooked for 6 hours and brought to the table for carving. All we can say is simply amazing. The pig was super good, crisp skin and super flavorful. Highly recommended but you need to call in advance. We also order the seafood paella which we split for the table. Again simply amazing. While we waited fir the food we had assorted appetizers, octopus, crocettas etc. again simply amazing. We brought our own wine but their wine list is fabulous and very reasonable price. Went here on NYE (ie tonight). Music (at 7pm , so early) was incredibly painfully loud. Multiple people complained, including us. Staff turned level down... but only 10%... they seemed oblivious to how off putting the decibel level was. Ruined our conversation and ambiance... our kid started to cry. Our friends had to muffle their kids' ears. We all left early without having dessert. Awful given the $120/person fixed price for NYE. Oh yeah! Happy hour is from 4-7 and is a great place to go for drinks and tapas. SERVICE: Excellent. Randolf was our bartender and was welcoming and attentive. Wine pours were generous and our water glasses were refreshed. FOOD: The olive app had tons of olives and served with slices of warm bread. The Patasta Bravas were puffy square potatoes served with aioli sauce that was flavorful. The croquets are not something I would get again. They are presented beautifully but a couple bites had gristle which were a turn off. The Paella takes about 30-40 minutes to make, so plan ahead in your ordering. We got the Paella de Teirra. The rice was very flavorful and the sausage was fantastic. The beef and chicken were a bit dry. 2 of us split this dish and it was plenty as we also had the apps. BAR: We love sitting at the bar. Plenty of seat and distance at 6pm on a Wednesday evening. There was live music which was a nice volume where we could still have a conversation without shouting. I came here for happy hour on a Tuesday with three others to try out their $5 tapas deals. Boy was I excited to see all the options! We were seated quickly and our server came over quickly. She was helpful with her recommendations and friendly. The sangria was delicious, I'd recommend the red. From a tapas standpoint, I loved the drunk figs as well as the mushrooms. I have been to Bodega Ole twice now and it was excellent both times. It's in a strip mall in an up and coming area of town near the Naples Design District. The inside dining area is beautiful, but so far we've only dined outside which is also nice with umbrellas and not too much street noise. The menu is a refreshing change from the same-old same-old that most restaurants offer in this town. Having just returned from a trip to Spain, I can attest to the authenticity of the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. On both of our visits, the service was outstanding, and I'd even venture to say it was entertaining as we engaged in lively conversation with our servers. Of everything we've ordered our favorites were: - grilled octopus with roasted potatoes - sautéed mushrooms - whole sea bass - roasted asparagus - figs with goat cheese - roasted shishito peppers Also good were: - paella - gazpacho - patatas bravas - thin sliced octopus (served cold) Prices are on par with other quality restaurants in the area, which is to say not cheap, but also not over the top. My daughter and I stopped by the bar for drinks and tapas. The bartender (Nick, I think), makes a terrific sangria rojo. We ended up ordering Drunken Figs, Chorizo al Vino, Pulpo, Morcilla and Crème Catalan. Everything was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the morcilla. I regret not getting a photo of it, but we tucked into it as soon as it hit the bar. I'm already thinking about my next visit to Bodega Ole. When we checked the menu, all the prices from online had been raised $3-6 more for each menu item. I know times are tough, but there's no social distancing here, so they aren't lacking funds. They had a packed house inside and out. When I had calculated our meal, the total meal had increased by $27. We ordered the $42 meat and cheese tabla. While decent the meat lacked that cured flavor and the cheese was disappointing. Baskets of bread came with 4 tsmall slices the size of silver dollars. Paella was forgettable. read more

Visited this new to us restaurant last night. Made an early reservation and learned of their happy hour prices....$2 off appetizers, $5 off entrees and 30% of our bottle of red wine! Quite a deal. Husband had grilled octopuus and said it was the best he ever had. We both had delicious grilled skirt steaks...his with carbs mine without. Then he had to try the house made flan. Just like the one his friend's mom made growing up. Very friendly service and atmosphere. Unpretentious with good food...a find in Naples for sure. First off, the owners (hosts)? who met us at the door could not have been nicer. The outside ambiance was very pretty and inviting, but it was full. We ended up sitting at the bar. Ramon (I think that was the bartender's name) was very friendly at first. He suggested the strawberry mojito to me and before I really had a chance to order he made us two of them, (my husband didn't want one but ended up just drinking it, he doesn't like to make a fuss :) they were pretty good, but too sweet for us. We ordered the Croquetas de Jamon, very salty and needed more sauce. They could have been so good, but the salt level on the actual Croquetas was off putting, and they were dry, not really as good as we've at other Spanish Tapas restaurants. They needed more sauce. Then we had the grilled Octopus, which was the star of the night. It was cooked perfectly (small portion but it's more of a tapas place so we expected that). Seriously, melt in your mouth good! Great flavor too. Then we split the flat iron steak. The $30.00 steak was TINY, but very tender. Not much flavor though. The Chimichurri sauce was bland and uninteresting. I love Chimichurri but this was was boring, no fresh herbs, no garlic, no flavor. I don't recommend that dish at all. Ramon became less and less attentive so we had to ask the server (from Argentina, who was the nicest guy!) If we go back, we will ask for him, because he ended up making our night much better. He got us bread, olive oil and vinegar that you're supposed to start off the night with, but we never got from Ramon, and then the same server got us plates, silverware (once again he wasn't even our server!) he really cares though and made our night. Ramon's attitude shifted as the night went on so we didn't order desert even though we wanted the flan and an after dinner drink, we just got the bill and left. The music from the guitarist was great, and I heard that Wednesday's they have Flamenco guitar. I never judge a place on one experience, every restaurant has an off night, so we will be back. But we won't sit at the bar, we'll ask for our sweet server from Argentina, he deserves a great tip!! read more
