HobNob is one of downtown Naples best kept secrets. The atmosphere is hip, relaxed, enjoyable and slightly younger than the normal crowd around Naples. The menu is creative and fresh. We sat at the bar where Stephan provided outstanding service and recommendations. Their delicious specialty cocktails were the perfect start! One of the more lively and less stuffy places on Fifth Avenue. Came here for dinner and had a solid experience. Everything was decent but not five stars. My entree came out differently than the server described, and she didn't bother to check back until it was time to ask about dessert. I had the most amazing mussels at Hob Nob. They were nestled in a white wine reduction with garlic and manchego cheese, cilantro and lime. The house made chorizo complemented the soft but tender chewiness of the mussels. I could have drank the broth with a spoon. The she crab soup boasted nice pieces of crab and fresh puréed corn. Hubby had the braised lamb shank and mashed potatoes. Although the lamb had good flavor, the whole meal was cold and remained cool even after he asked for it to be heated. The bartender was one of the most shockingly confrontational and unprofessional servers we've ever encountered. She took at least one shot behind the bar while serving us, told us she didn't have time to change the television to the game and then when asked a second time begrudgingly called over another server (who was equally sullen) because she "didn't know how the remote works and I'm not a sports person." She later proceeded to bicker with my mom and I from behind the bar when I complained to the manager on duty about her behavior. At one point she barked "I'm sorry I didn't get your sports game on fast enough." She also got our order wrong and when they brought out something we didn't ask for (Arancini) she questioned us if we were sure we didn't order it (we didn't) and then tried to lay a guilt trip on us by saying "ok it's fine I'll just pay for this." When my mom asked for water, the bartender pointed at a lukewarm glass on the bar and barked "it's right there." She was pointing to the water glass of the people next to us who had been there an hour. My Mom is 80 years old. The whole experience was so wildly unprofessional it was almost laughable. read more

Hob Nob fits in right on the main drag drag of upscale Naples. The restaurant is beautiful and trendy with service to match. We had a group for a birthday and were happy they took reservations. They have a great menu, not overwhelming, but enough option to make deciding difficult. We started with a few different salads, the artichokes and the eggs. We ordered the eggs as this appeared to be an app they were known for. The agreement in our group was that they were good, but not anything amazing or special. An average part of an otherwise excellent meal. For the mains, our group ordered a variety, mostly seafood and a few steaks. Everything was prettily presented and was a good portion. I tried several of my friends dishes and everything was great, though I did think my sea bass was the best. The prices are what you would expect in the area, it is a bit pricey, but for the area, the atmosphere and service, I felt it was not unreasonable. Their menu reminds me of gastropub with large offering of cocktails and bar offerings, small plates to share, Ocean and Farm dishes. Thankfully, they also have a kids menu. Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and delicious and Myer Lemon Short Ribs was enjoyable. Howver, the myer lemon flavor was not very strong. This has been my best restaurant experience in Naples so far. The Spa-Tinis were great and perfectly refreshing on a warm day. They also packed quite a kick which is to be expected in a martini. Very strong start to the meal. For my entree I ordered the Ahi Tuna. I like my Ahi to be as rare as possible, possibly still alive haha, so I informed the bartender of this. The Ahi came out fairly quickly as a result. It was absolutely delicious! I get worried when places put a bunch of sauce on tuna but this place managed to do it quite well; the sauce enhanced, instead of overpowered, the flavor of the fish. The crab fried rice it was served on top of was good and full of crab, although I kind of wish they gave a bigger portion. The calamari seaweed salad they served with it was good and unique. Service was solid from both bartenders. Both were friendly and personable. I don't care about this but I know some do so I will post this: neither bartender was wearing a mask. All the other restaurant employees were wearing masks so I'm not sure why the bartenders weren't. read more

Nestled in a thriving upscale shopping area, Hob Nob is a modern rustic restaurant with a full bar and a rentable "snug" for private parties. Parking is extremely limited even on a Sunday evening at the end of season. Dozens of shops and restaurants line the streets and smartly-dressed people roam the sidewalks. I recommend using the valet parking ($5) located behind the restaurant and entering from the back. Inside the use of warm wood planks on the walls and floor, large rustic wooden tables, modern lighting and polished steel creates an interesting atmosphere, warm and welcoming. RC was seated in the booth when I arrived, a long banquette against a bright, brush-stroke purple and white fabric backing. After about ten minutes I traded places with him as I found my chair very uncomfortable. Our server, Meghan, was a real treat. She was friendly and professional, chatting with us about Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame like a true fan! :) She recommended the mussels for my starter, always a favorite of mine and these were quite good. The broth was lighter and more lemony than I'm used to and it was a refreshing change. I wasn't a fan of the manchego cheese because it clumped at the bottom, but the flavors with the cilantro and pieces of chorizo were excellent. For mains I selected the Chilean Sea Bass with coconut pesto, jasmine rice, and butternut squash while RC chose the Bone-in Ribeye with caramelized onions, Cabernet demiglace, bernaise, and honey-roasted fingerling potatoes. The dishes were beautifully plated, with colors and smells that enticed the senses. My sea bass was nicely cooked and the swirl of green coconut pesto was so good I asked for a little more on the side. The butternut squash threads were raw, and while they looked pretty I didn't care for them. RC's ribeye was huge, perfectly cooked, and nicely seasoned. I definitely recommend this restaurant for its five-star service and delicious food. I will be back to try some other items on the menu! read more

The food and drinks were ok, however, for the price, I would definitely go elsewhere. Pass on the hangar steak, its fine but at $32, burnt ends and lack of flavor, make it a poor choice. The grouper was excellent. My children loved their donuts, they were actually very good. Their mojito did not carry the flavor of a traditional mojito, their mule also lacked flavor, tasted like some liquor with tonic water according to my husband, and I couldn't even finish half the lavender bees knee. Bartender put entirely too much lavender (or whatever spices he uses) in the drink. The service was ok too. He was not friendly and he seemed a little annoyed. We still tipped the guy 20% bc he was quick and checked on us sufficiently. read more

Absolutely loved it!!! Our waitress Kristy basically lead the way to our evening last night even though it was crazy busy. She recommended this blueberry mojito that was to die for! My husband had the seabass with truffle fries and I had the mushroom pizza. Absolutely delicious and perfect recommendations for what we wanted to eat. Next time we will definitely get the creme brulee for a dessert but I decided to have another mojito instead! We will definitely be back. This was hands down our favorite restaurant in Naples when we were visiting on vacation! The service is excellent - the waitress checked in on us and was very friendly. We dined on a Sunday evening right before 7pm. Happy hour said it went until 6pm but we were still given happy hour prices (awesome). For appetizer, we got the rice balls filled with cheese and jalapeños. These were delicious! For dinner, I had the Filet Mignon with goat cheese mashed potatoes. I ordered it well done but it came with some blood in the middle. I sent it back and it came back perfect to my liking. No problem there! The meal was incredible!! The steak was so juicy it melted in my mouth. My fiancé had snapper in crazy water and oysters. He said it was his favorite meal of our vacation. The drinks were great too! My friends came out rare even though she asked for medium. They took it back wiped the sauce off and cooked it more. Gross. Ultimately, not memorable. Prob won't come back for what you spend. Was hoping for happy hour, but you must sit at the bar. We still had a great experience. We ordered scallop ceviche with avocado and oranges. It was suppose to be served with papaya vs oranges, but it was still good. My hubby ordered the sea bass dish And I ordered the snapper in crazy water. It is served in a tomato broth and has a bit of a kick. My kiddo ordered the kids pasta with marinara. It filled him up. We've been coming to the Naples area for a lot of years and it's really great to see the area catching up with some of the dining treads. Hob Nob is a great example with its really fresh food prepared and served in an inviting setting and accompanied with some great craft cocktails. Five of us stopped in for an early dinner as the busy season (march) was just getting going. The server placed us at a great round table in the middle of the restaurant that was roomy and comfortable. I must admit I had a hard time choosing among all the great options on the menu. Drink-wise something immediately caught my eye-are whiskey concoction called the Brown Sugga -really tasty! Sort of a riff on an old fashioned with some great fresh fruit. We opted to begin with the generous cheese and salami board and some classic deviled eggs topped with crunchy bacon. Two of the knockout entries were the Sea bass which was served with a wonderful COCONUT RICE and the Snapper in crazy water-SOOO GOOD and fresh with a tomato and fresh herb broth-one of the best fish dishes I've had in Florida in a long time. The meal also came with a basket of tiny corn muffins that had a hint of sweetness. All in all a GREAT meal. I'd definitely go back here on a future visit. Highly recommended read more
