We went there on Valentine's Day and my boyfriend's birthday so it was a special night. We aren't local but we researched and this was a top recommendation. We had reservations for 8:15 and got there early and the place was packed. The hostess was very nice and said that would be sitting us closer to the actual reservation time. We stood in the bar area and did some serious people watching. A+. We were seated around 8:20 in the front dining room and they had a sweet card on the table for my guys birthday and our waiter was super attentive. We started with drinks and delicious bread and toppings. We each had salad and I had the scallops and he had escargot. We shared the short rib dinner and it was out of this world. Ambiance could be improved with better noise reduction as it is very loud in the main dining room. We were a party of 5 people and we all absolutely loved this charming French restaurant. The blue decor had a warm, elegant, and welcoming feel to it. They also have complimentary valet parking, which is really convenient. We were treated to complimentary bread with sides of butter and olives. I ordered the Provençal Ratatouille and it was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is spacious so there is plenty of seating. We went on a Friday night and they had live jazz music, which we all loved. The service was excellent and it was an all around amazing experience! We all loved our meals! This was my 3rd time eating at Bleu Provence, the first to times the food was ok but nothing to rave about and it would not have been my first choice but I was the guest of a dear friend and he was sure they had Bouillabaisse on the menu so we went. They didn't! He and my wife had the Sea Bass , I ordered the Foie Gras and the Steak Tartare. The Foie Gras was excellent but the serving size was lass than an ounce! Now for the worst Steak TarTare I have ever tried to eat. It was listed as Wagyu filet, it could have been anything. It was pre made in the kitchen and plated when it arrived so I had no idea what was in it. It should have been prepared at the table so the guest could adjust the amount of each ingredient according to his taste. Not so! The first bite was horrible the amount of mustard and Worcestershire burnt my tongue! I looked around for toast points, nope nothing to spread it on. Waiter brought French fries. Why I questioned? He said that what they served with that dish but I could upgrade to truffle fries if I wanted. I declined. My friend was uncomfortable but I said nothing and tried to get two more forkfuls down. I stopped eating and all of a sudden my wife help the napkin up to her mouth and up chucked. The Bass was just too heavy for her and the taste she said was overwhelmed by the fennel. When you order Wagyu for are expecting to taste the beef, when you order Bass you expect to taste fish! No so here. Never again, there are just so many other great restaurants here in Naples! read more

We had a reservation there this evening. It was absolutely dead when we went in, but thought that maybe that's a normal Thursday for them. There were four total tables including ours. We were immediately served water and bread from a very nice young man. 25 minutes later, not one person said a word to us. Two or three waiters and a manager walked past our table over and over. We finally got up and walked out and no one said a word to us. We left, went to another restaurant where we received amazing service. Just ate at Blue Provence with some good family friends we hadn't seen in a while. We were seated in a large room and could not hear each other speak - the noise level was insane! Not an intimate experience, or the best venue for catching up. There was an especially loud group who almost started a fight with another table, so that contributed to the uncomfortable vibe too. The food and the service was good (our group gave the food a 8/10, but one member said his mussels were the best he ever had) but not great value and light on the vegetable/sides (beef bourginon only had potato base, no carrots or anything) but perhaps that was our fault for not ordering separate sides. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely date night here. We were seated on the side patio in the back corner- so nice! Our waiter, Christian, started us off with a refreshing rose lemon drop and french martini, both were absolutely delicious we had to get seconds! We were also treated with a comp bread with butter which was a lovely touch! To get the taste buds going, we ordered the tuna tartare with a mango sauce on the bottom that added a delectable flavor to the tuna itself. For our main course, I chose the Waygu Filet Mignon, while my husband chose the Waygu short ribs. Both dishes were scrumptious in their own ways, and I can't wait to order the same thing on our next visit! The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate both small and large tables, which is great! I had a reservation at Blue Provence for this coming Saturday. I called them earlier this week to increase the number of people on my reservation, and was offered the wine room for my group. The next day, they called me back, saying they had made a mistake and that the wine room was actually not available. I then said they could cancel my reservation, but I was told we did not need to do so and that the restaurant would find a way to accommodate us, given that this was their mistake. Well, today, with only 2 days to go, they called me back yet again, this time saying that they cannot accommodate us and will need to cancel my reservation. So with only 2 days to go, I now need to find another restaurant that can accommodate my group. If Blue Provence had not jerked me around for a week, I would have found another option long ago. Instead, I now have to scramble and likely settle for a much worse restaurant for my event, given the highly unethical and unprofessional treatment from this restaurant. What a total disappointment. I am never going to Blue Provence again and suggest that others avoid it also, or you may risk having your reservation canceled on you at the last possible moment. read more

Terrific food and service. Although I thought the lobster bisque was too salty the rest of my meal was fantastic. I had the.baramundi which came terrifically prepared. So my husband and I came here because we were visiting family. We're not from the state I brought, including us six people all elderly minus me and my husband I specifically asked for table better for like canes and hand walkers. I didn't notice any accommodations really in fact it was really hard for me to get in and out of my chair because we were pushed up against a wall, but not a big deal. The restaurant was quite busy. All of the food was amazing. The bass the muscles, the ratatouille, all delicious. The only the only thing was the steak the most expensive thing I think I paid for cause I paid for the entire meal for everybody was actually not that good I of course thought maybe grandma was being a little picky, but I had a few bites of it more than one to test this. It was so so grainy not very tender like everything else was good. The service was decent. The beat salad was also really amazing. Like I wanted to lick the feta cheese whipped stuff off. My Husband salad would go again probably wouldn't go for steak surprisingly which is sad but the seafood was to die for. read more

We just had a meal at this restaurant. We ate her in 2024 and it was excellent. The service was terrible. The served Salmon Tartare with a one inch cracker- not even a whole cracker!! We asked for several things, but the waiter ignored our requests. For example, we wanted a soup spoon for the sauce =- he dumped 2 snall spoons. The Beef Bourguignon was stringy and the sauce tasted like Lipton Onion soup mix. Suggest he go across the street and ask the other French restaurant for a lesson! We have been in Paris to Chez Josephine - the benchmark for this dish. This was terrible. The duck confit was flabby and fat was not rendered. Blue Provence, Naples, FL. Have lived in this area for several decades but somehow never got to this restaurant, so when a group decided to go, I was delighted. As always, I checked their online menu, so I was aware that it would be an expensive night, but I expected more for the money. Due to prices of ranging from $14-$25 per 5-0z. glass, I skipped my usual glass or two of wine and went with a diet Coke instead. There was a nominal charge for each refill. The salads served by those who ordered them were extremely small, possibly the smallest I've ever seen served, and they ranged in price from $16.99 to $18.99. My friend next to me ordered the sweetbreads appetizer, and it, too, was extremely small, perhaps 1x3 inches. Per the menu, it was garnished with popcorn, which seemed a little weird. I think the price was $18.99. There was no charge for the initial or replenished baskets of their excellent hard-crusted bread. It was served with both butter and an olive tapenade. Skipping any appetizer, I chose the Mediterranean sea bass for an entree. The portion size was reasonable and absolutely delicious, but for $41, I thought it would be served with at least a sampling of some starch and vegetable but the only other items on the plate were a caper berry and a cherry tomato. While all ten of us were delighted with the quality of our choices, I found it difficult to justify the menu prices. The ambiance is charming but the noise level at dinnertime is extremely high, so it probably wouldn't work for an intimate, romantic evening. However, if you enjoy French food, have a relatively small appetite, and price is not a consideration, you'll be happy with this Naples restaurant that has been in business for at least 25 years. read more

Be aware, this is not the same restaurant of Jacques and Lysielle Cariot. My wife and I have supported this establishment for years and years and recently returned back to Naples to once again dine at this restaurant. Much to our dismay, what we experienced was an average inexperienced server, and the food was average at Best. I had ordered a red snapper, which was totally overwhelmed by sweet potato shavings so that you could not even recognize there was a fish underneath. Lysielle would never ever send this piece of fish out to a customer. Our server was a young woman who was challenged to take our dinner order, and we were only a party of four. After ordering a salmon appetizer, which was an old standby on the menu at this restaurant, the server, then came out about five minutes later to inform us that this item was not available to serve. We were the first customers in the restaurant that evening, so it is a little confusing to me that she would not have known that that item was not available. The server knew that she was having a horrible experience, so she commented that after all it is on Monday. She could not even get that correct as it was a Tuesday evening when we were dining there. Again, the food was very average not nearly as special as it had been with the previous chef. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants on the country and unfortunately, we will not be back. read more

Although online there were no reservations available, we called 5pm on a Monday and secured reservations for 2 at 5:30 on the patio that same evening. We left around 6:30 and pretty much every patio and restaurant table, as well as the bar, was full. FOOD: Excellent. The warm baguette was crusty on the outside, served with a flavorful olive tapenade and creamy butter. The burgundy escargot came out piping hot with plenty of pesto. The truffle fries had great flavor, but they did need to stand for a few minutes to crisp up. The Chilean sea bass was cooked perfectly and the couscous were not only beautifully presented but had a light, citrus flavor. The scallop special was also cooked perfectly. BAR: When we arrived, there were still a few seats available at the bar. It's way in the back just before the patio entrance. Neyers Chardonnay is $14 a glass and an average pour. SERVICE: Mia (Smiljana) is quiet but attentive. Waters were always refreshed and she checked on us throughout our meal. We did have to proactively ask about specials when we overheard another server describing them to other guests. I'm glad we did as the scollops were wonderful. Food comes out quickly, our entrees were served less than 10 minutes after we ordered so if you like to take your time, keep that in mind and hold off ordering the main course until you are just about ready to eat it. ATMOSPHERE: Charming. It is much larger inside than it appears, and there is an entire patio outdoor area pretty much hidden until you arrive at the back of the restaurant. It is covered with an awning and umbrellas, but we still felt the lovely breeze and there are many fans mounted on the building to keep the bugs away. We had one pesky fruit fly for a few minutes, but finally left us alone. We also had to swap out a couple of chairs as there was bird business on the back of them. The minimal parking is almost always full, however, complimentary valet is available and was efficient. NOTE: They charge a split fee ($5 for app, $10 for dinner) and a $30 corkage fee, which is waived if you also buy one bottle from them. read more

First time here. Dana was our server who was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the food and restaurant. We had two lovely wines recommended by Jac the owner. Both were smooth and delicious. For the table we started with the entree mussels which I loved . I'm not sure if they flash grilled them but they had a Smokey flavor. The bread is divine served at the table with fresh butter and olive tamponade. I had the halibut served on truffle risotto . Wowee! Others at the table had more mussels, sea bass, steak and short rib with veggies. For dessert we had lemon sorbet the was served with meringue, chocolate peritoroles, and crème brûlée. This is a fine dining experience with a smart casual, yet relaxed, coastal vibe. Like a lot of the nicer places in SWFL! What I love most about dining here is the wine and the food. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I most recently had the duck confit- the cook was excellent, seasoning on point, and the sauce superb. Every other dish I've had here from app to dessert is excellent. Really- it's all great! Their wine list is diverse and excellent which I recognize is a pretty snobby thing to say. However... it's true! There's something for everyone, from a house cab to a white burgundy. This is one wine list I love to look through and with so many interesting items to get by the glass. I also love their cocktails! Can't wait to try the one with peanut butter whisky. Service has always been good. My server both times has been personable and really adds to the dining experience. I was very disappointed. My wife and I selected the special $49.00 which included a salad, entree and desert. Not a bad price but not cheap either. We started out with a cocktail which was good but a few ounces short of a decent drink, the salad was arugula, apple slices and fried cheese......not a fan. The most disappointing course was the entree. I ordered the sea bass and it was the worst sea bass I have ever eaten. It was mushy and had little flavor. The desert was fine, crepe and about a half a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I will not go back. For example, we have dined at the Ritz and Turtle Club and both were fantastic. My wife had the steak and fries which she enjoyed, but pretty hard to screw up a steak. There are too many wonderful restaurants in Naples, avoid Blue Provence....definitely over rated. read more

Sea Bass with Lemon caper sauce, Quiche, the bread.... but the drinks, the drinks are beyond! Handcrafted, modern and refreshing change! Service was exceptional. We got in earlier than reservation and staff were completely friendly about us being early. Lastly, we sat outside on covered patio with heat lamps and Christmas trees with all the tropical flora. They had a temporary 3-course "Sizzle Dining" menu for a promo spanning many Naples' restaurants, but we chose outside that menu. Though it was tempting bc the Coq au Vin on the Sizzle Dining was not on the regular menu - bummer! (Sizzle menu was too much food!) Both my husband and I chose two appetizers each and we were very pleased. Beet Salad & Skillet Mussels for me. Loved that the mussel dish came in 'appetizer or entree' sizes. I chose appetizer size & it was fine. The Beet Salad was filling and quite scrumptious . . . beets, goat cheese crumbles, bits of tomato & weirdly (but deliciously) bits of grapefruit & walnuts. My husband had the fish soup & salmon appetizers and was very happy. The wines by the glass list were mostly French wines about which I know nada, but our server, Nick, answered questions & I was very happy with my choice: French chablis/chardonnay at $17/glass. We could see a lovely patio for those months when the air is less than 90 degrees at 6 p.m. It has an awning and is surrounded by flora & fauna. Very tucked away. Like the dining room, white with a gorgeous bright blue was the theme. Because September is nowhere near 'season' in Naples, parking was a breeze. read more

We visited a lot of places in the beautiful Naples area well on our honeymoon. We were lucky enough to go out and have quite a few nice dinners. This was by far our favorite spot. The service was phenomenal. We were greeted excitedly and everyone was very friendly. The menu was easy to read and comprehend, and we ordered shortly after sitting down. We had muscles as an appetizer, and then we both tried the filet mignon. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and one of the better steaks I've ever eaten. Really solid French food. We had three courses each and were in and out within 45 minutes so service was extremely fast the night we went (Thursday). Ordered the steak frites and a seafood dish. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Dessert was a molten lava cake, excellent dark chocolate flavor and not too hot. We even liked the bread they served with the olive tapenade. We usually never eat bread but theirs was delicious and so was the side of butter, likely imported from France. I have food intolerances, so I make sure to check the menu, call to ask to speak to the front of the house and/or chef. I was assured that afternoon that there would be no problem the kitchen would make a meal without onion or garlic and that I could have more than a plain piece of fish with nothing but salt and pepper, and that I would have a choice of dishes to choose from. My Saturday night dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday was oh so difficult. The French hostess said on the phone that I'd have no difficulty with my allium intolerance, as all sauces can be made to order. Not even a possibility! The server must have apologized 20 times. They didn't expect to be so busy on Saturday night, duh! and the chef categorically refused to make me anything but a filet mignon. One bite of the potato gratin proved that it was garlicky. Sent it back. Got mashed potatoes. No sauce, only salt and pepper but delicious sautéed mushrooms. At that point, I was ready to hide under the table, but boy was it delicious! What a surprise that the filet was taken off the bill and more apologies. Definitely coming back and sharing the experience with everyone we know and don't know yet. read more
