Came in, grabbed a beer from the cooler, paid, and sat outside facing the court house and watching the leaves rustle in the breeze down the square. They carry a variety of pint-sized cans of beer from La Grange Brewing Company. I tried their Hazel Hazy IPA. It didn't taste like any hazy IPA I've tried before but it was refreshing and at 16 oz and 7.5% ABV it was basically a double so one was definitely enough. It was a nice way to pass the time as my wife shopped the local antique store two doors down. The ladies inside were friendly and quick to serve. And they had a few food options. This is my favorite place to eat in La Grange! There are many choices. My favorites are the Santa Fe flatbread & Bodega salad. We try to make it to Bodega at least once a week. Plus, the ladies who work there are super friendly. It's small, but super cute. We love it! read more

Coming home to Brenham from Austin Monday at lunch, and this was perfect. Great selection of wines by the glass. We had a "personal" cheese board that was plenty for two. My husband had a Cuban sandwich that he enjoyed. I had a cup of roasted red pepper soup that was terrific! Service with a smile. We will come back when we can! read more

Passing through La Grange on a Monday mid-afternoon and was starting to get Hangry. Discovered Bodega on the town square and left very happy! Get the Bodega salad with house dressing. She added some cherry tomatoes for me. The carmelized pecans and feta cheese flavors blended welI. I had the Cuban and wife had the Caprese Panini. We tasted each other's, both delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted and the cheese was melted just right. Quality food made with skill and passion. Nice selection of wine and beer to try on our next visit. This is one of my favorite places. Their food is amazing (one of my favorite pimento cheese recipes), I don't think I've had a "bad" meal here. Their wines by the glass and bottles for sale are a great mix of local wineries and other wines I can't get at HEB. The atmosphere is amazing. A nice little place to stop into while you're shopping around the square in La Grange. They have beer and wine selections, and they make a good cheese platter. It was quiet when we were there, so it was very relaxing. It's a nice place, my only critique is that the lady working the counter could be more engaging with the customers. I don't think she means it but she gives the impression of being a little put out when she serves you. Other than that, a really nice place, would recommend. read more

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch on our way from Houston to Austin. The girl working there was so sweet and helpful. I got the Fancy Grilled Cheese with a cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup, and my husband got the Chicken Salad Sandwich. The sandwiches came with a little side of pasta salad.
