Showing up 15 minutes before their afternoon closing time on Saturday, I'd set the bar high. Guy behind counter said the beef, chicken, and ham n cheese empanada were the best sellers. He bagged up one of each. No offer to heat them, and a rather terse, accusing tone when the roll of 7 $1 bills I handed him was $1 light. Not a good start with me and the Argentine deli. Kolache factory is really much friendlier, and tastier, and they heat up your order!

Seems like a nice mom and pop place with Argentinian food. I only went there because I heard that they have meat empanadas. They had 5-6 different empanadas on display along with quiches. Apparently all are hand-made creations. I bought 3 empanadas. I loved the ham and cheese. The chicken was decent but didn't really like the beef. It had green olive in it. Overall, they were a little smaller than I expected since they were all about the size of child's fist with the spinach being not much bigger than a baby's fist.

So I was in a mood to have a light lunch and found this place on Yelp!. One can easily miss this place (like I did driving by twice!) since it's almost blends in with the neighborhood homes!. I walked in and was greeted by all and got help from Pablo in what's good to order. The food is all fresh and home made. I ordered a dozen empanadas and the Pasta Frola de Membrillo to go. The empanadas are delicious especially the chicken and ground beef. You would need more than two to fill you up though. The jam based pasta frola de membrillo is just right with a cup of coffee. It's not too sweet unlike other pies. The food is all fresh and light!. Would definitely recommend!.

My other review disappeared. I hope I can relate the awesomeness of this little mom and pop restaurant hidden on the back street of Oakridge Drive on the side of The Woodlands. When I first walked in I smelled such warm savory smells of food cooking. They make their own Argentinian empanadas and variety of quiche. These foods have such incredible flavors and mellow spices. I could eat these on a weekly basis. Everything is made from scratch and done with quality ingredients. They also have Argentinian frozen pizzas which have the most incredible cheeses and quality meats. They don't last long and they don't taste like they were ever frozen when I baked mine. They have a grocery section of their countries foods. There is also a serene dining area to eat in. Definitely worth a visit. They close at 6pm on weekdays and 2pm Saturday. Yelp Review #283

We didn't get to try a lot of items on their menu so my impression is limited to what we ordered. For appetizers, we had a variety of empanadas (spicy ground beef, chicken chipotle, italian, fugazetta). All are very tasty and probably one of the best items they have. The chimichurri that comes with them is a stand-out. We had the platter of mixed meats (parrillada che gaucho) that included 3 kinds of sausages, chicken breast, sweetbread, short rib, flank and skirt steaks. The sausages were good, the chicken was standard grilled chicken breast and the beef cuts were pretty tough (our knives had a really hard time cutting through them). Again, the chimichurri is the star and makes the meats much better. It came with 2 sides so we chose asparagus and fries tossed in garlic+parsley. For dessert, we had an apple maple empanada and a banana dulce de leche empanada with ice cream. Both are delicious but that banana one is a must-try. Fabulous.

Unfortunately we did not find this place good enough to recommend or even to come back. We ordered a dozen empanadas, we found the salteña ones full of flavor but we did not like the flavor. We also disliked that the grease was dripping. The salteña a cuchillo had the same flavor as the salteña to my palate, but the salteña a cuchillo has pieces of potato which in my opinion doesn't go great in such a small empanada. I ordered the mushroom with cheese and it was freezing cold inside. It was so small there was no point in saying anything. The spinach and cheese was flavorless. We tried ordering the salad with skirt but it turns out their meat for the salad is premade and it had to be well done, same for a sandwich. My husband does not like well done steak. I never once saw any raw meat on their grill or smelled meat being cooked. Maybe all their meats are precooked. I did not like the flavor of their chimichurri either, that's what I was mostly excited about because I love chimichurri, but no. We were disappointed and sadly will not come back. The precooked meat is difficult to overcome!

Our waitress, Alex, was great, and it was super peaceful to sit on the Waterway patio while enjoying a meal. The complimentary plantain chips with chimichurri were different and delicious. And to die for was the sticky toffee pudding! All around an amazing happy hour and date night spot that I highly recommend.

Houston has an amazing international dining scene and we won't have any problem finding food to match all 26 countries. We all shared freshly baked bread with chimichura sauce and marinated vegetables salsa criolla, delicious empanadas of all sorts, the Argentina Grill parrillada platter, and flan and Nutella crepes for dessert. Pampa Grill & Market is a beloved family-owned neighborhood gem run by Argentine owners. Definitely a fabulous experience all around. Pampa serves wine, but they also allow BYOB, so we brought a delicious 2022 Decero Remelinos Malbec and John and Katherine brought a lovely white blend, also from Argentina.
