First Watch is truly wonderful, and the Woodlands location is just a great experience every time. The service is consistently great, the seating is comfortable, and the food is reliably good. The blueberry pancakes are my favorite, and their coffee is just right. This place is well managed and seems to be doing everything right. Five stars for a worthy spot.

Great service and fresh tasting food. Excellent for a Sunday brunch. The bacon is crispy with a full flavor. I would recommend the elevated egg sandwich and the market hash.

The B.E.C LTO breakfast sandwich so flavorful!

I haven't said this in a while but if I could give this place 10 stars I would! Yes, it's pricey but well worth it for the portion size and quality of ingredients you get and most importantly the flavor!! So. Much. Flavor. From the lavender and fresh mint in the French toast to the aiolis on the breakfast sandwich everything was bursting with complex palate pleasers. And don't even get me started about the breads! The challah was so so good and so was the sourdough and both expertly cooked. All the fruit was super fresh as was the arugula and the bacon was crisp and thick. The OJ was fresh squeezed and the best I've ever had! And I was born in Florida so you know I'm serious about my OJ lol! I'm impressed is an understatement! I can't wait to try this place again! Superfoods bowl anyone?

Went for seasonal menu it didn't disappoint!! We got Strawberry Tres Leches French Toast Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Hash,Bacon egg cheddar sandwich. My favorite was Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Hash so flavorful will definitely be back for that also honey caramel crunch coffee is so good very sweet but everything 10/10!! Service was good too

Was lucky to indulge In the most exotic looking French toast I've seen in my life, and I KNOW French toast. The subtle floral aroma of the lavender butter kindly settled in my mouth and complimented the berry compote. The blueberry compote was nothing out of the ordinary but not average by any means. Felt like I was swimming in a syrupy pool of money with the million dollar bacon. I love the sweet n spicy combo here. The Pineapple Express was also very refreshing yet not too sweet, so it was an easy drink with all the sugary syrup I had between my dishes. I believe all my meals were from the seasonal spring menu so go check it.

Shrimp & Grits (sans the ciabatta)

First watch still remains pretty consistent with their quality of food. I've not had a meal here I haven't liked. Gave their shrimp and grits a go around today. The shrimp ratio was on pair as were the sautéed vegetables. I was appreciative of the minimal amount of butter as I've had shrimp and grits where my shrimp are swimming in butter and really that's all you can taste. They forgot my ciabatta bread but nothing a quick reminder couldn't remedy. They give you a water and coffee carafes to refill your drinks at leisure. I'd say they need to deep clean their industrial dishwasher and it's leaving residue on all their water glasses which was a bit off putting. Overall service was great, you can pay from your phone via QR which allows splitting of the ticket as well.

    Honey Caramel Crunch

Devoured the elote breakfast burrito. Absolutely packed with sooo so much flavor and bits of potatoes, eggs, cheese, beans, and meat. Their serving is large (photo shows half of the burrito) so do take note. The honey caramel crunch is really sweet too, I think I would have preferred it with less honey but anyone with a sweet tooth would love it for sure lol. I've dined quite a few times here and I always leave satisfied and happy! Service is great too and there's a lot of space, though it seems like they're always busy so make sure to reserve a table or come in early when needed.

I ordered the Aussie iced latte with oat milk, which comes with ice cream. But then my honest, friendly waitress pulls up with freshly made brown butter syrup like she's presenting a plot twist. I tasted the latte before and after because someone else brought it out but listen...that syrup changed the whole personality of the drank!. It went from "oh ok"' to "bihhhh, I'll be back for you." I grabbed a side of pancakes and bacon because I asked my honest waitress about a dish and she quickly gave me her honest opinion which I took. The basic dish was nothing groundbreaking, but also nothing tragic. Honestly, if someone messed up pancakes and bacon, I'd have to call the authorities. With tax and tip, I walked out a little over $20 lighter. These days, that's basically the going rate for breathing in a restaurant, so I wasn't shocked. Overall, service was solid once I sat down from the waitress to the either mgmt or owner that helped her out (I went on a Saturday morning). But that latte? That latte is the reason I'd return. The vibe is modern and stylish--very "cute," as my wife would say. We were seated right away, and the staff were kind and accommodating throughout our visit. To start, I ordered the Bondi Blue Protein Smoothie while my wife went with the Laird Latte--both were easily 10/10. The kids had orange juice that tasted like it had been freshly squeezed right at the table. For breakfast, my wife chose the Sunshine Burrito, and I had the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant (with extra chipotle mayo on the side). The kids shared the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. My wife mentioned the burrito could have used a bit more seasoning, but overall the food was a solid 9/10. I especially loved my croissant, and the kids were big fans of the pancakes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot, and I'm already planning to bring the extended family back to try it.

But what I can't understand is the portion size on the vegan pancakes are itty bitty; three small pancakes that can be eaten in a bite. IMHO, not worth the price. A few pieces of fruit on the side. I don't think the pancakes are homemade either. I'm not sure why it's kids size. When the non-vegan pancakes are average huge size. I'd suggest that they get online to find a simple recipe and made it homemade; then charge the same price. Vegans don't want to eat like medieval peasants. The baby sized vegan pancakes were tasty, but just didn't taste homemade. I'm not sure if they added vanilla extracts or vanilla paste to the batter because I didn't taste it. I need thickness in my pancakes. The vegan pancakes are very thin like a thin crust pizza. As you can tell I'm utterly disappointed by these pancakes. I did enjoy the Vanilla Almond Matcha Latte with oat milk; it was indeed very good and hit the spot. Our server was very nice and attentive. It was a full house on Saturday morning.

Service is friendly and pool restaurant good. The country club is in walking distance if you want golf or tennis. There are several pools. For families, the pool is THE activity and truly, the only activity. The woodlands lake is a 5 min drive so the trolly and pedal boats entertained us! It was fun. The breakfast was delicious. What was a disappointment: - total of 1 lifeguard for the entire pool area, which included three pools and a lazy river with a wave area. There is "swim at your own risk" signage, but that is NOT a family friendly environment. - there is a 1x/ day arts and crafts that you have to pay extra to do. - the other staff-led activities were bingo, movie by the pool, and karaoke. The staff was not energetic, smiling, or enthusiastic with the exception of the activities manager who led the water melon eating contest. - it rained for one of the afternoons so we all went into the conference center for games. Wow was that disappointing. The staff was sitting around at a table, no music, no explanation of the table games, not interacting with the guests. When asked they said "you can play whichever game you want, it's self service." My husband and I used our phones to at least put on music, we facilitated a game of tag, and several families had to escalate to the manager to setup the karaoke and popcorn machine because the staff in the room was literally sitting around sticking to a rigid schedule and telling us they can't set anything up until a certain time. Of course the manager said that is absolutely not true. - the staff didn't know how to work the projector for karaoke so the kids just used a laptop that the staff member had sitting on her lap. Minimal interaction etc. The events team staff (minus the supervisor) was really subpar. Easily made for a 2 rating for sure. If you want a true family getaway, the JW Marriott in San Antonio is far superior. Photo with my son and one of the disengaged staff members. I'll also say that, again, for this luxury price, the staff need branded sweaters not oversized personal apparel.
