Very busy fun auction. Sometimes you get really good prices sometimes not. I continue to go there because it really is one of the better places there's so much there and sometimes you find really great finds! I resell so that's important to me. It's not the auction site that makes your experience bad, it's other buyers who will pay anything ,I mean they overpay just to get or beat you out but that's with every auction go to Bodner's they're good! read more

I am new to the auction world and auction buying in general. They are so much fun and do a live stream where they show the merch and talk about it in more detail. I bought 5 items, all jewelry, on the same day. I paid for them in the 24 hours they give you. Made a rookie mistake by driving 1.5 hours (3 hrs round trip) to the auction house to pick items up with out an appointment but they were kind and gracious. Finding and giving me the items within minutes of just showing up at their door. I spoke with Mr. Bodnar and he is a nice man. He told me that in business (especially this business) he likes to under promise and over perform. This was def true for me and my purchases. I got a Dutch sterling silver ring from the 60s for $110 that another like it recently sold for over $500 on ebay (hallmarks and everything 100% kosher), ruby and emerald rings for just the price of the gold (under $100), squash blossom necklace with matching earrings. I couldnt be happier and Im looking forward to the next auction. read more

Attended my first auction with this company this week and must say I am impressed. I work for a dealer and we went to purchase items for the store. The convention center is easily accessible from major highways. The parking is slightly challenging for dealers with box trucks, but that said it is ample. This is an extremely large auction. There is a fantastic variety, and 2 to 4 auctions running simultaneously. It is challenging if you do not have help to pack and load. They do however have many carts for use with a drivers license hold (for security). The auctioneers are incredible. Very good at what they do, and one in particular in the toy section is quite the personality! He kept the mood light and his sense of humor and bid calling style is refreshing. Staff was helpful and everyone seemed to work together well. It is a LONG auction day, so come prepared. Food truck on site is decent and has vegetarian options. Above and beyond the worst customer support from anyone ever let alone the owners Joseph Bodnar and his wife. Waited over 2 weeks after item was paid before I received a shipping invoice for $55 for legos. Was informed to pay the shipping or I would not get the items or a refund on my items from the owner. Without a doubt the worst auction company I have ever purchased an item from. Emailed for information on item and received numerous rude emails back from the owner. 100% a Scam read more

One of the better auctions I go to on a monthly basis. Sometimes you can get a really great deal on box locks and sometimes you get caught up in the frenzy and overpay. That's the risk you take when you go to any auction. Bodnar's has better Consignments than most other options so it's always a fun day to go and check out all the great box Lots up for bid. They have a great staff who work hard and are available to help you with both can signing and bidding. read more

CUSTOMER BEWARE!! When my 98 yr old Uncle passed, I was referred to Joe Bodnar's auction company. Joe came to Uncle's house and gave us a guesstimate of the auction bringing in anywhere from $6000-$10,000. I thought the $400 pick up and the commission fee were high, but my thoughts were that we would at least receive something close to the low end of his estimate, and I was okay with that. WRONG!!! I just got the check in the mail --- $2,274!! Talk about misrepresentation. My Uncle had a house full of valuables? Our realtor did a yard sale with Uncle's leftover knick knacks and made half this amount! I would NOT trust this company and feel disheartened that people like Bodnar could be so deceptive just in order to get a quick sale. What happened to ethical business practices? read more

I've been attending Bodnar's Auctions for a number of years. I still have the very first thing I bought ... a large glass paperweight. I've gotten really cool stuff ... much from the 19th Century. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful ... and made friends who I look forward to seeing every month. It's a great way to spend an afternoon!!! If you haven't been to one of these auctions, you should try one and you will surely be hooked. read more

Unprepared group that offers services to their customers like telephone bids and absentee bids and are not able to perform. Randomly cancels this service. Key personnel do not know how to offer the services they list. Key personnel show up 15 minutes before auction starts and cancel services. Pictures of auction not posted until very LATE the night before. No way to reference items for sale even if they did accept absentee bids. As a buyer, I can always go somewhere else. The poor owners commit their items to a group that is ill equipped to get them the best price for their things. Does not even deserve one star. read more

Sellers, Before consigning anything of value to this auction house you should have it evaluated by Joe Bodnar first and get a rough estimate of what he thinks it might sell for. I would say that 90 percent of the items at the auction I attended were quite frankly "land fill". I have never been to an auction where so much actual crap is offered. Maybe buyers get bargains on ordinary items, but the quality of antiques, art, furniture is by and large junk. Don't trust that your valuables will be sold for anywhere near what they are worth. Perhaps other auction events have better items but at this one it was bargain hunters and thrift store operators who fill the audience. Hold your quality antiques and art for an auction with quality items that will draw private collectors and upscale retailers. One old sofa was actually given away with $10.00 for whomever would take it. read more
