They have a consistent system with their lists on the morning of the first day and move people in fairly quickly. What truly sets this company apart though, is their outstanding staff. She does not belong in this business of dealing with people whatsoever. For example, we verbally agreed on a dollar amount for a bulk buy and afterward she began to pull items of value that were included in our agreement and saying "this is not part of our deal". For starters, I watched her and her husband take things (small things, but still . . .) from my home before the sale even started. She said she'd pay for them, but did she? I have no reason to believe they ever paid for those items. Certainly she never told me what she thought was a fair price -- especially odd, considering that she was going to keep 40% of that price for herself as her commission! A highly desirable item was marked sold minutes after the sale started - and went home with her daughter. Was the item priced fairly? I have no way of knowing. Did they even pay for it? Again, no way to know. I did not expect an accounting of every five dollar item that sold in the house, but I did expect an accounting for the larger ticket items -- say things that were priced at $100.00 or more. That didn't happen. There was NO accounting for anything that sold. Olga, her husband, and her daughter handled all the money and never accounted for any of the items. That was my fault, for not making sure that that I would get a list of what sold and for how much, but I think a reputable and honest seller would've provided that kind of accounting on her own. The finally tally was far lower than I expected, I can say that for certain. The second day of the sale, friends of hers came to look, which was fine. But then they parked themselves in my living room for hours and didn't leave. I am pretty sure that other buyers would've been put off by the sight of this tight group having themselves a little coffee klatch and may not have looked at the items for sale in that room as a result. I had a few items I really needed to sell. I told Olga I wanted them gone, no matter how low the price. Despite that, she refused to make a deal with a seller that was willing to pay for one of those items at the end of the last day. I ultimately had to give the item away. I also witnessed her quote a price for several items to a potential buyer and deny she'd quoted that price just a few minutes later. She yelled at the potential buyer, putting her in tears when it was Olga herself that was lying. On another note, Olga and her husband, as well as her daughter, repeatedly tried to give me advice on what to do about selling my house. One of the aforesaid friends from the living room group cornered me and badgered me about my religious beliefs. It was insane. I should have done far more research before I hired this company. I made a terrible mistake using them. I just hope this review keeps someone else from making the same mistake. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

Extremely disappointing experience with Beach Camera. I will never purchase from this company…read moreagain. The television took over a week to arrive, and when it finally did, the shipping box was visibly damaged and the TV would not even power on. Beach Camera then asked whether I wanted a replacement television shipped or a refund. I clearly chose a refund. I was also told that my money would be refunded once the television was picked up. Instead, the entire return process became another ordeal. It took Beach Camera close to a week just to properly address my complaint and arrange for the television to be picked up. I was told the freight company would contact me that day to schedule the pickup, but several days passed with no call. I eventually had to contact Beach Camera again myself because no one from the freight company had reached out. The television was eventually picked up, and I sent Beach Camera confirmation of the pickup as instructed. Despite being told that my refund would be issued once the TV was picked up, I received essentially no response and no refund. I had to continue following up myself. Then, after the TV had already been picked up, Beach Camera changed what had previously been communicated to me. I received an email stating that my refund would not be issued until they physically received the television, inspected it, and then determined whether the return qualified for a refund. In my opinion, that response was extremely dismissive and disrespectful considering the circumstances. I did not change my mind about a purchase. I received a television that arrived in a damaged box and would not turn on. Beach Camera offered me a replacement or a refund, I chose the refund, and I followed every instruction they gave me for returning the damaged television. I should not now be dealing with changing explanations, weeks of delays, and uncertainty over whether I will receive my own money back. Any inspection of the television or claim involving the freight company is a matter Beach Camera should handle with its carrier. I should not be left without both the television and thousands of dollars while they work through their internal process, particularly after I was specifically told that my refund would be issued once the TV was picked up. The lack of urgency, poor communication, repeated delays, and changing information regarding my refund have made this one of the worst purchasing experiences I have had. It has now been weeks since this process began. I will never purchase from Beach Camera again, and if my full refund is not received promptly, I intend to speak with my attorney regarding what additional options may be available to me.
