As a Public Health professional that consistently advocates for Brain education in every capacity and all forms of Healthcare, I would like to share my sincerest thoughts about Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi-Cerritos Studio. I came to the studio in March after losing a loved one to COVID-19. Being a Master of Public Health and losing someone to a Public Health crisis made me feel like a failure. I needed to find something that would help me process this loss and help bring me back to homeostasis. As soon as I walked in to the studio I felt the warm and loving compassion of the center's Manager, Jan Cogan. I immediately knew that this would be my second home and a place for me to heal at all levels. I became a member and took their Tai chi classes with Laura, whom I love and respect immensely :) I had the honor & privilege to take classes with Grace, Jan, and other wonderful instructors at the center. If I could give this center 1000 stars, I would. They are unlike any other yoga studio. This is home and I hope you will feel motivated to come and explore the wonderful world of Body & Brain Yoga Tai chi. They have locations everywhere! Find yours at www.bodynbrain.com With love, Sophie :)

More morning weekday yoga classes, please & thank you. (but also just getting back into yoga and I know we change the schedule quarterly. ) 2. Re: Mckenzie C. I just took her express scalp class. Please have Mckenzie teach more of these express sculpt classes. The energy she brings is phenomenal. The way she instructs the class also keeps my brain locked in. And she actually gives a lot of good facts during, which I enjoy. As somebody who often has to bring a lot of energy for events I host, i can tell Mckenzie comes and gives all her energy into these classes. Also song choices great. 11/10 would do it again.

My only wish is there were more evening and midmorning classes that were sculpt and flow, or power flow. However, I imagine there are good reasons for their schedule. Plus, I can manage to get to two a week, which is pretty amazing considering my chaotic schedule. Plus, the staff is SO FRIENDLY and so kind when I'm scrambling to get to class from work. No showers, but there are two super clean bathrooms. Parking is pretty easy, in the same lot as Trader Joes and across from Costco. Shout out to Jill's Power Flow and Johanna's Yogalates. :)

When I first started, I was a bit apprehensive, but the instructors immediately put me at ease. They do an exceptional job of meeting members where they are, offering thoughtful guidance and modifications that make every session both accessible and appropriately challenging. Two years later, I still look forward to my weekly sessions! Beyond the workouts, this studio stands out for its clean, organized, and welcoming atmosphere. A special thank-you to my instructor, MJ, for being absolutely incredible. Her clarity, patience, encouragement, and expertise have made a lasting impact on my experience. I'm truly grateful for all she does and highly recommend this studio to anyone considering Pilates!

After hearing of all the great benefits that Pilates has to offer, I decided to give Esteem Pilates a shot and I'm so glad that I did. The instructors are all extremely welcoming and my instructor Erin is the best. She teaches me and guides me through every movement and goes at the pace and level that I am comfortable with. She knows exactly when to push me so that I get a great workout while keeping my inexperience in mind. I have been going for a few weeks and I already see and feel the benefits. My lower back pain is gone and I feel my core strengthening. I also see a huge difference when I play volleyball and am overall more athletic. If you're hesitating to begin Pilates, I highly recommend Esteem Pilates because they will make sure you feel comfortable while getting stronger.

Everyone is supportive and judgment free. I've only been to the basic classes since I'm new to yoga but I've enjoyed every one of them. My favorite is the "yen" class. It's basically a deep stretching class. The "basics" cause me to break a sweat and feel like a decent workout. Overall this place has a great vibe. The classes are relaxing and all the people who work there are very sweet and supportive. I highly recommend this place, it's worth a try especially since it's only 40 dollars for new students!

Plan to arrive early in case you have to park across the street. My main issues are with the strict membership policy and the crowdedness inside the studio. Most instructors are talented not only in their practice but in teaching their students. I learn and follow best by seeing a demonstration not just listening to a lecture. I had an instructor that just used the mic to give directions without showing us. One class resembled a karaoke session which was fun the first couple songs but it was dark and I couldn't see beyond the bodies next to me (they're closer than you think btw). I wasn't sure if I was using the correct form, where the instructor was, or what we were supposed to be doing. Fine for the advanced yogis but leaving us beginners lost. Overall I enjoy attending most classes here. A big issue is it's so crowded. During class you're almost on top of each other so much so that they have to stagger who bends where. The walkways get so congested and I didn't even take a chance with the locker rooms bc the people in there looked like sardines. I see so many studios other than Ra popping up left and right that it would probably benefit them to open up more locations.
