My nose led me to Uniquely Soap, a adorable shop filled with all kinds of soaps, scrubs, lotions, etc. Immediately I was offered a sample of the sugar scrub and after that some of the scented lotion. My hands felt so incredibly soft. There are so many scents and formulations to choose from. I have been wanting to switch to a natural deodorant, and they had three to choose from. I chose the Lemongrass Charcoal. The owner explained to me how to use it and adapt to the product which was very helpful. We also chose a soap for hubby that smelled wonderful - Tobacco Leather. Now I hate smoking or anything related, but this smells so amazing and very "unique"! Some dog soap for our German Shepherd, and a yummy smelling scent stick. They have a rewards card also that you can use each time that you visit and end up with $$ off on a future visit. Come out and support a local business with great products. I hope they are able to maintain this spot as I will most certainly be back when it's time to restock or find hew scents and products to try.

Rasaan has been in the area for about 20 years selling oils at various locations around Jacksonville, and has been at this location for a little while. I purchased an alcohol based home freshener with a gentle floral scent that soothes stresses from a hard day's work, an oil based scent for my diffuser and a roll on scent that's light with just the right sweetness for my body chemistry. The products are thoughtful and a labor of love. In addition to the sales, Rasaan serves a mentor to the youths in the area teaching and showing them entrepreneurial skills where they can develop and demonstrate public speaking, effective communication, self-promotion and sales. A few of his mentees are now enrolled in colleges and universities in the state. I now live in the Saint Johns area and still drive into jacksonville just to shop there for my human braiding hair... the associates are mostly pleasent and helpful and the owners (although stoic presenting) have always been cordial. On average I've spent almost 300$ everytime. We ladies know quality human hair is expensive and depending on the lengths. For the styles I want to achieve it's anywhere from 50$-80$ per pack! I get 3 EVERYTIME and sometimes 4 if I want to mix in a color. On top of that there are the little odds and ends that get picked up just because. Yes, I know, impulse buying... anywho. Wed 25 Jun I went there with my husand and our two girls, and like always I looked around for the human hair aisle while they puttered about. I got 3 packs of human hair... 16"Zury 1B $49.99 18" Zury 1B $59.99 and 24" Kemi $79.99. The hubs got the girls a few things and the afew more things at the counter. Nothing in me has ever lead me to believe that the hair lengths were not what was on the packaging... I get home and prep it for bleaching as I have done many times in the past. I go through the entire process and I'm now ready this morning to get started. I go to my hair bin and get out the color I wanted to add. 18" Model Model Dream Weaver #30 which was previously purchased maybe $59.99 I don't recall. I set the hair out so that I can begin to unravel the elastic gold band and as the hair is laying on top of eachother I notice a discrepancy... I said this can't be right. I looked back at the bags and then my receipt and when I confirmed what they all said, I got out my measuring tape. Well I was surprised to say the least and felt very angry and betrayed to say the most. How could this happen? It's never happened before. The 16" was 14" the 18" was 16" and the 24 was 22! I even asked the Hubs to look at it in case I might be wrong. I was not. So I composed myself and called the store. An associate came on and listened for a bit and then put on the store owner. He was NOT helpful AT ALL. He blamed the manufacturer. obviously they can't check the length of every pack of hair... but woth this information he should probably reach out to them and find out what's going on. No he said he could not help and he could not give me more hair. He said the most he could do was 10%... I was appalled. I didn't have time to ride back up there right then as I'm sure many women don't or don't want to be bothered... but I asked him if this has never happened before, can't you take a loss a loyal customer? And get on the manufacture for false advertising? He had gotten rude with me and said something like why I'm asking him the same thing over and over and how come I'm the only person in the 10 years he's been there to ever complain about this... how should I know? I kept my cool although I'm sure he could hear it in my voice. He said he could not do anything... I said you own the store, you could charge it as a loss, like when people steal no? No he could not help me at all and he would not be calling. He gave me the numbers to call Zury and femi. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau as well. You'd rather lose a loyal customer that you can continue to have for years and years to come? This could've been a better review, singing the praises of Coco Beauty, for being so understanding... Instead I'm here saying buyer be WARNED! Check the length of hair you have gotten from this store! And shop somewhere else for your beauty supply needs BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
