I came here for the first time with a friend and it is absolutely amazing. Reginald, the owner, was very respectful, polite, and demonstrated exceptional professionalism. The spa is extremely clean and has decent prices. I came to do the Hydrotherapy treatment. He was very thorough in explaining the whole process and was there to help whenever needed. Initially I was skeptical, I always go to a particular spa but decided to step out of the box today and try some place new. The massage was wonderful! My target areas were hit, the amount of pressure was accurate, and the technique was on point. My entire experience was great, until I went to get water and the receptionist bombarded me about a tip. I get massages often and NEVER have I been hounded about a tip. My review is based on a couples massage. My son loved Ciarra. It was his first massage, and he was very impressed. The decor was nice & it smelled great. The massage was not 60 minutes. It was 45 minutes. We didn't need 15 minutes to get undressed. I took off some stars because I had a hard time getting in contact with someone to make a appointment & the 15 min deducted for getting undressed. But when I came in the receptionist was very nice. I had the best massage with Jessica this week! I came in on a Groupon and didn't know much about Body Bliss Suites, but thought I'd give it a try. My hot stone massage was just what I needed. Jessica was thorough, professional and attentive. She checked in with me throughout the massage to make sure I was comfortable with the level of pressure. I went to this place recently for a couples massage. Overall my experience was okay. The massage was not the best I have ever had but it was decent. The length of time was supposed to be a complete hour but it was cut short due to the fact that the masseuses started late. The sauna is also much smaller than I would have imagined it to be. I was very disappointed in the service I received today. I explained to receptionist a young lady that they have me scheduled for the wrong time I told them 230pm and they scheduled me for 1:45pm. The clerk said that if I could make it here by 2 or 230pm I would be fine, I bought a groupon with 6 infrared saunas.i had only used 2, so I just lose the other 4, this receptionist did not care she just told me"well u gonna have to wait a half hour after I nearly broke my neck getting their. I told her u said if I got here at 2or 230pm I would be fine so she just turned her head and walked away. The other lady Theresa (said she was manager)asked me if I was going to wait I told her no because 30 minutes now would make me late with something else. I guest it was ok with management that the other employee spoke to me like that.So I left and decided to bite the bullet and lose the other 4 saunas. If for nothing else because of the poor customer service, I love good customer service and I will go somewhere else and pay for good customer service. I bought the Groupon deal for a 60-minute couple's massage and 30-minute sauna, and scheduled my appointment a month in advance, no problem. The day before my appointment, I get a call from a man whom I presume is the owner to tell me that the lock on the sauna is broken, so either we can come for the massage and come back at another time for the sauna, or we can reschedule. Since this location isn't exactly convenient for me, I reschedule. A few days before that appointment, he calls me again to tell me it still hasn't been fixed and offers me the same options. I end up rescheduling this appointment a total of FOUR TIMES. I was offered apologies once and thanked for being so patient, but no other offers to make rescheduling this so many times worthwhile. Also, this man never identifies himself until after he's said "How are you doing?" so you have no idea who you're speaking with until 10 seconds into the call, which I find quite unprofessional. Anyway, the morning of our fifth appointment time I call to confirm, just in case. At least half the time I call their number, I get the answering machine, which is again quite unprofessional. I realize it's a small business, but it's terribly inconvenient. To continue: Google maps says it will take 50 minutes to get there from my place, so we leave an hour ahead of time. No, it ends up being an hour and a half. We spend a half hour trying to call them to say we'll unfortunately be late and all we get is the answering machine. FINALLY someone picks up the phone and just says, "Oh, okay," nothing about how this will impact our appointment so I assume everything is fine. We get there, and they say, "Well, you can cut your losses and take the remainder of your massage time and then the sauna today, or you can come back tomorrow. We're normally closed Sundays, but we'll open for you." Now, that was a nice offer to come back tomorrow when they're normally closed; but I had just spent an hour and a half traveling to this location in the middle of nowhere in the rain and really had no desire to repeat it the next day. I should mention that the interior of the location is very nice (don't be fooled by the outside) but the location is truly terrible. I also didn't want to only get a half hour massage when I paid for an hour. My boyfriend and I went outside to discuss it and I was quite upset, as this was his Christmas present and nothing was working out correctly. He went inside to tell them we'd just come back the next day and the woman offered that they could come to us that night and we could take the sauna while we were there. We ended up taking that, and the sauna was amazing. They came over after they got off (mind you, this is a Saturday night, so two girls gave up their nights to come over to us) which was extremely nice and we offered them some dinner as we assumed they probably hadn't eaten. The massages were great and very relaxing, especially in one's own home. All in all, it worked out alright, and I liked the massage, but I'm not at all impressed with how the business is run. They definitely have some kinks to work out, and I'm undecided as to whether I'd go back. Having to reschedule four times with barely any recognition of the inconvenience it held for me doesn't exactly give me an incentive to return, though the girls were very nice and clearly talented. read more

I couldn't get pass the front door and will give this place 1 star due to the rude receptionist. She is very unprofessional and has terrible phone manners. Normally after booking an appointment with any establishment they will call to confirm an appointment, which didn't occur. When I called to confirm the appointment the receptionist told me an appointment time different than what I scheduled. I proceeded to call back right before the appointment to ask for the address and her mannerism was still rude. I automatically canceled the appointment and told the receptionist about herself. This was my third or fourth encounter with her and she gives the same results every single time. I asked was she the owner and she said no it's a male named Reginald. I told her she had bad phone manners and she should work on them if they intended on getting more business. I mentioned that this feedback may not mean anything to her since she may just be focused on getting a check and she proceeded to say, "The owner is my nephew." Well that's even WORSE!!!! You don't care enough about your family owned business to do better. I am all about supporting Black owned businesses but I was extremely disappointed and decided to not use the living social voucher. I truly believe Reginald needs to fire his aunt or whomever the receptionist is ASAP because she is ruining business opportunities. Another option would be to hire a public relations person to do quality control and help promote good customer service (Tabitha who does the salon takeovers on BRAVO). Tabitha HELP these people!!!!!!!!!! From the other reviews listed on this site it doesn't look like I'm the only person who had this issue. In Reginald's responses it looks like there is nothing but excuses given for the actions of the staff, which equals a "FLOPPING" business, so take heed REGINALD and do the work holding your staff accountable (family or not sometimes you can't mix the two if you want to prosper). My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing couples massage by Tia and Stevie. We purchased a Groupon for a couples massage and sauna. It was a little difficult getting an appointment and it certainly didn't help that the receptionist was short, blunt, and rude. But, we finally settled on a date. Excited about our couples spa package the short, blunt, rude receptionist called one day prior to our service to confirm our appointment and to inform us that a customer had fallen through the door of the sauna, so it was inoperable. However, we were offered to come back just for the sauna next month. But, that wasn't a pleasing option considering that we purchased a complete package. I asked the receptionist if it was possible to substitute a service since the sauna wasn't working and she said, "no, because you got a Groupon anything else will cost you extra"...Wow! All I can say is that Tia and Stevie were great. But, the location and the receptionist weren't very desirable. The facility is small but clean. And, there's only one shared restroom utilized by both staff (for work) and guest. read more

I am very unhappy with my experience with Body Bliss Suites using Groupon. I purchased two coupons for 60 minutes at $49 per. I was supposed to go with my wife, but with her schedule and the long distance to this location, I tried to combine my coupons for 2 hours - essentially two massage hours back to back. I was told by Reggie that they can't do that because the therapists need a 15 minute break between sessions. I said, fine, what about 90 minutes? He said that this was possible. I show up for my appointment and unfortunately they had cancelled it because of a misunderstanding on the phone. So, I waited 45 minutes for my therapist to show up. Before I get on the table the manager tells me that I would only get one hour for my coupon, and that it was their policy not to combine coupons. I was saving them money, so I didn't understand the issue, and I had spoken to several people, including Reggie, who agreed to my 90 minute deal. The manager told me that it would be not possible, but I could get the hour. I had a bad taste in my mouth, and after already waiting for 45 minutes, just wanted to leave. As I was leaving I repeated my frustration to another woman at the front, and she told me again that I could not get two hours back to back. I said that I knew this, but had agreed to go for 90 minutes. She then remembered that this arrangement was made. At this time, the manager said, Oh, so do you want your massage now? Well, by that time who feels like getting a massage? I just left and I am forfeiting my money because I do not want to return to Body Bliss - I suggest you stay away. read more

My first Body Bliss experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff was engaging, polite and accommodating to any concerns my boyfriend and I had about the experience. We used our Groupon to get a couple's massage and sauna package, to celebrate our birthdays, as they are a week apart. We made a point in coming to Body Bliss because it is Black-owned and we like to support our local Black businesses. Regrettably, we were running a bit late for our appointment due to an unforeseen emergency. However, upon calling, the receptionist was sympathetic to our situation and assured us that we would have our appointment. Once we made it inside, the ambiance was calming and we were ushered into our room. Our masseuses Carmen and Giselle did a great job tailoring our massage to our individual needs. They both have great communication skills and we both felt at eases talking to them. As two people who work two jobs, it was a welcome treat to be able to decompress and have someone else pamper us. When it was time for our sauna portion, we were politely informed that the sauna was busy, so we would have to wait for a little while, which was not a problem for either of us. We were ushered to another room, where we we offered water,plush robes and booties to walk around it. The wait gave us some time and privacy to have a quiet moment alone together...something much needed for the both of us. Once the sauna opened up, we were given complimentary water and reminded to stay hydrated during the 30 minutes. We were also shown how to change the radio. The sauna was pure bliss, especially because we both love heat. By the time the 30 minutes was up, we both felt relaxed and de-stressed. Upon our departure, we were checked on by multiple staff members to ensure that we had a good experience. We truly left better off than we were when we arrived. HORRIBLE, I bought a couples massage from groupon for my boyfriends birthday. First, they called to confirm my appointment a day before. Everything was good to go, or so I thought. We arrived on the day And time of our appointment and they had nothing about our reservation in their system although they called to confirm my appointment. Second, I spoke with the owner he reschedule for the following weekend and gave us a free foot detox thing(can't remember the name). As well as, assured us that everything would go smooth and gave me his personal cellphone number to contact him if anything went wrong. Finally, the weekend came, we went, again our appointment wasn't in the system took them about 40 minutes to get in contact with the owner in order for him to okay our massage. Oh and the detox he promised us didn't happen, their person wasn't in that day so it didn't happen. The massage was ok but I WOULDNT recommend this place or return EVER! So unprofessional, they were also conducting a low budget looking photo shoot by the receptionist desk/waiting area! read more

as far as I'm concerned, this place is nothing to scream from the rooftops about; yes the facilities may be ok and clean but if the staff is unprofessional and not client focused that gives the entire place a bad blemish; i had 1 good massage and 2 very bad experiences; its extremely extremely difficult to get an appointment; no one ever ever rarely answers the phone and most never returns any phone messages left; they are horrible at rescheduling; i showed up for a scheduled appointment and the door was locked, waited 5 minutes and knocked again and someone came to the door only to say my therapist wasn't there and that she was in a session; who interrupts a massage session to open the door? well, it actually happened to me on the table where the therapist left once to answer the phone and once to answer the door. i was told my therapist wasn't aware of my appointment and or forgot that i had scheduled an appointment in which i scheduled with them the exact same day of my last appointment; the unprofessionalism comes into play when i wasn't offered to reschedule and they didn't seem too apologetic; I've yet to receive a phone call or email regarding the therapist being a no show; their policy states that they will charge you for a no show but who charges them for your time when they are a no show; i don't know whose writing all of these so called glowing reviews (probably friends of theirs) but i assure you they are not all that good; they have got to be the most unprofessional black owned business I've ever tried to patronize; i try to patronize black businesses when i can but a lot of them make it extremely difficult for you to fork over your hard earned dollars; this establishment could benefit from a business class 101 and as well as a customers relations class 101 (actually an advanced class in this area would be most helpful... i think). Its beyond ridiculous how they run this business; for all of you who have written these glowing reviews for this establishment, more power to you and if these reviews are fake you're doing a grave disservice to the community and to this establishment. read more
