i love Body Blu so much! i have been coming here for 3 years already for the shot bar. the selection and customization options are fantastic and Dr. Scarpuzzi is one of the most knowledgable and caring individuals i have ever met. it is always such a pleasure to see him. in the last two weeks, i had an anemia emergency (for those reading this please go to ER for emergencies with hemoglobin as Body Blu is not an ER facility) and chose to handle it in a non emergency manner by going to Body Blu for my iron infusions (yeah girl, get that iron bag!). i was seen by Dr. Ridao for the first time, both in Mission Valley and Solana Beach and she is so sweet and absolutely lovely to talk to. she got me going great, and while i need to get more iron and will be returning here, i am already feeling better with no adverse affects (unlike other facilities i have had iron infusions at years ago...had awful gastrointestinal side effects so Body Blu's is such a relief). it seems you cannot go wrong with either Dr at this gorgeous, modern and squeaky clean upscale facility. feels like a place the word "healthy" is all around you as opposed to the traditional medicine offices where "sick" is what oozes out of the walls. thank you Body Blu for being here! i am so grateful! read more

First, a little about me. I have a tricky back, meaning a pretty significant scoliosis along with a very physical job (chiropractor), and a chronic back spasm. I have lost 20 pounds, bought a new bed, done hot yoga, all of which helped my symptoms, but not to the point of being totally relieved. Along comes Dr. Hyde and her introduction of biopuncture. She explained to me how the treatment worked and what kind of results I should expect. At this point, I was ready to have Botox injected into the offending musculature, but she assured me that wasn't necessary and that her treatments would give relief. Well, she sure knocked my socks off. I went ahead with my first treatment, it felt like acupuncture and wasn't bad at all (and I'm a baby about needles). The procedure took maybe 5 minutes and I was done and on my way. She did warn me that I might have increased symptoms over the next 48 hours, but that was to be expected. Well, let me tell you, I didn't have any increase in my symptoms and my back muscles felt more relaxed the next day. So much so that I was able to lay on my left side and haven't been able to do this without pain for over a year. It has now been 5 days since my treatment and I am feeling great. I think that the biopuncture was a breath of fresh air and I look forward to a few more treatments to ensure my back completely recovers. I'm not one to write reviews, however Dr. Hyde and Body Blü deserve a rave. I was referred by a co-worker who had a great experience and she was definitely right! I've suffered from migraines for years and hate taking medications that leave me feeling drowsy. I had gone to see Dr. Hyde a few other times for B12 shots and was thrilled with the results. One day I was suffering from a particularly grueling migraine, and she was kind enough to mix together a migraine shot for me. Within 30 minutes I felt like a new person. I can't begin to tell you how amazing Dr. Gayl and the team at Body Blu are. I initially emailed in with an inquiry and Eric was very responsive and informative. On a recent visit to Body Blu, I was so ill - with what was diagnosed by my doctor as acute sinusitis. Ok, I know that I've been harsh on some of my past Yelp reviews but I say it like I see it! With that said, this place is the real deal! Dr. Hyde is awesome. A++ What I had done I call it the Trifecta! :) B-12, PRP (plasma rich protein) and Biopuncture! Why go through all this you may ask? I am an injured Ironman triathlete looking to go the natural route that needs to be 100%. It's been two days since my treatment and my hamstring is finally feeling better after weeks of pain. I was diagnosed with a broken foot and spent 3 months in a walking boot. Dr. Hyde and her boutique practice are by far the coolest in town, I've never known a doctor that was so honest and easy to talk to. Okay, I'm not even sure how to start this review without getting too corny or emotional or all of the above. Over the course of the last three years, I have been on one hell of a health journey. It all started after a long and exhausting year of trying to get pregnant for the first time. Doctors appointments, ultra sounds, the works - and NEVER did my OB (or beyond) figure out what was wrong with me. Then came Dr. Gayl Hyde.
