Nicole's beginner class has a great pace for beginners; the flow is easy enough to focus on the poses, and the classes have been no more than 10 people in the evenings. Kate will definitely push you to work your body. She had a good "flow" to her class and made us sweat. I've gotten really speedy responses over email concerning billing and booking questions, which is great customer service. I wish there was just a little more space in the entry way for putting on boots, hanging up coats, and waiting for the last class to finish. I look forward to trying some of their other classes, like Aerobic-Lates and even Barre.

Then Susan opened Core Barre, and I joined, and it has been the best experience ever. The instructors Susan, Donna, Sarah, and now Liz are motivating, kind, and very tuned in to where you are at in your work out. There is a very warm accepting vibe, and the competition aspect is gone, so you can truly get the work out you need. I vote for Core Barre as the best place around not only for the expertise in fitness they have to offer, but the family friendly feel Susan and her instructors give to the place each and every time you go.

Every time is a little different; there is no set sequence (although some people do prefer that). Some days there will be more core work, other days more balance poses. And she always guides the mental/emotional/spiritual side, not just guidance for the physical poses themselves. I have attended other classes, and many do not offer such an opportunity for spiritual growth. Jennifer is very welcoming, for both new students, and those who have been coming to her class for years. She genuinely cares about the well-being of each person in her class, and her voice is filled with warmth and positive energy. Certainly, every person has different needs, and I think it's important to try a variety of classes. But I highly recommend that you try Jennifer's. There's no need to sign up in advance; you can just drop in whenever you like. I most enjoy the Tuesday night class, especially since there is an optional meditation at the end.
