This store has the worst customer service of any retailer I have visited. Store employees do not acknowledge or offer help. In fact, they seem to literally ignore. This is not an isolated incident. Every time I have been in this store I have to get the attention of an employee. Not once have I been asked if I had been helped or can they assist me. If you ask for a specific item or piercing gage, they'll respond no and walk away without asking if there's something else they can show you or do you need something else. I have multiple piercings and wanted different jewelry. After not having the first thing I asked for she closed the case and walked away. Thanks for the lack help. Never again will I shop here. I have received 5 of 8 tattoos here. My last three came from Adrian. He was professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and gave me a couple of size options for my tat. I like going here for my tats because it's clean and everyone is amiable. I would highly recommend Adrian. He knows his stuff and will give you his honest opinion. I will have to add a picture of my other tat My husband went in and asked to make an appointment for me, and my husband even said he was happy. Adrian was still working here. My husband has heard me say a few times I want to start working on my sleeve. After 15 years with my husband, he still catches me off guard. I couldn't wait to get new ink. read more

I came into the pierce shop twice now. Both bad experiences. The first time I came in my friend and I have been searching for a ton of different shops that would let her do a walk in tongue piercing pretty late. We called the shop and they said that they could take us and that we need to be there by 7:30. We got there at 7:28 and the front desk girl was so nice but the actual piercer came up and told us that she was leaving at 7:30. I was so confused on why she had told us to be there at 7:30 if she clocks out at 7:30 every day. told us that sterilizing the needle would've taken at least 30 minutes. she was just plain rude, told us that she was going home and didn't want to do it. And then walked off. plus I've never heard of 30 min sterilizing before. And I've had plenty of piercings. So they sent us on a wild goose chase to a different location who got the piercing done in eight minutes. (papers and all other prep too) The second time I've gone there I had the same experience, but this time maybe I thought it was different because of a different piercer being there. I asked what time I should be there she said 730 and I asked her to double check just in case, so she went to ask the piercer and came back and told me "hey I'm sorry actually you're right the piercer is leaving at 7:30." like what? the whole issue is that if I had actually came in like she told me, I would be running into the same problem. They need to communicate better over the phone to avoid this. read more

I don't know what to say about this place. I got my belly piercing from here as an early high school graduation present to myself... and well i have to say.. its been 2 years now and where is my belly piercing? No where to be found... except a scar. I used to think this place was cool whenever I walked past it. Not so much when my belly piercing migrated and if I left it in any longer... it would have come out by itself... leaving a split on my belly button. I never knew why my belly piercing was rejecting me. I am only writing this review because I recently got my industrial piercing and asked the piercing doode what might have happened. He said as soon as he saw it instantly, "too shallow" was his first thought. He said the person who pierced it made it too shallow. I am so sad... I received a tattoo from Jeremy Lowe at BJP in puyallup. The picture says it all. I confirmed multiple times that Jeremy was confident in his abilities to duplicate the gray shaded flowers I provided as reference to the tattoo I wanted. I spoke to the owner who would only say, your over 21 and knew tattoos were permanent. I'm disgusted with the appearance of my arm and urge anyone thinking of getting tattooed at BJP's to look at my tattoo and consider their options. read more

I truly couldn't believe how unfriendly and unwelcoming the staff was at this place. My mom and I went in today(6/26/19) to get her nose pierced, and the two girls at the counter watched as we walked in and came all the way up to the register without greeting or even acknowledging us. My mom has never had any professional piercings done before and she had some very reasonable basic questions. The cashier was huffy, condescending, and openly sarcastic. She didn't even try to hide that she was rolling her eyes and laughing at us. For example my mom was uncertain about the hollow needles they use and asked whether or not it would remove tissue like a core sample. Not only did she not really answer any of our questions, she talked down to us and shut us down, acting like they were stupid questions. They only had one style of jewellery for the piercing, and when we asked if there were other options she literally said "take it or leave it" Still though despite how rude they were, we were going to pay for their nose piercing service and get it done there until they told us that they didn't have a public restroom- not even for customers who were getting a piercing or tattoo service! They told us to go use the Macy's restroom halfway across the mall. I asked to double check and she said not even for hand washing or clean ups. That's just not sanitary - the piercing artist isn't the only person person who needs to have clean hands. That was the final straw and we left and got her piercing elsewhere. I'm a nice person, and I try to be really polite to retail and service workers because I know they've got tough jobs - but I can honestly say I've never been treated like that before anywhere. It was so upsetting and it made us feel humiliated. I genuinely believe our size was a factor in the way they treated us: My mom and I are both on the heavier side and the girls were extremely thin, that's the only thing I can think of as an explanation. read more

I went in today (Saturday) and got my ears pierced, Heather was my piercer and she did a wonderful job! She answered my questions and gave me suggestions and was very patient with me, I had to stop for a minute due to feeling light headed and she was very polite about it. And the ear piercings turned out great! The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful and bless the cashier who helped me out especially when I messed up the card reader twice and she dealt with my panicked self lol. I was concerned to come in due to the negative reviews but if your polite and bring your ID you have nothing to worry about! Definitely will be coming in again! read more

~i needed my nose ring replaced. I had my nose pierced in November. I got the gold and diamond stud. I loved it. After 9 months, it started to wear off. The prongs was in the way when I use a face cloth. It snagged the ring. I called and asked if they can replace it. A little over 8 months ago I took my 15 yo here to get her nose pierced, she was not required to show ID because well she's 15 and doesn't have an ID. Flash forward to today, I took her in to get a hoop put in the piercing, the lady at the front counter lacked customer service skills when she asked my daughter who is now 16 for her ID I told her she didn't have one and she told us that we couldn't be seen then. My daughter pulled out her ASB. (this does not prove age) the lady at the front counter looked at me and told me that's a form of ID, no it's not, they do not prove age they just prove she is a student at that particular school. I mean come on, a really smart 7 year old could skip grades and have an asb card that says they are in 10th grade. When I explained to her that I was her mother and I was the only one that showed ID when she originally got her piercing she stood behind the counter arguing with me about it. Then when we were called back she told me I couldn't go in the room with my daughter because I had my 1 y/o with me. Why is this a problem? When I took her to get the piercing, he was with us also. I wish that I could give zero stars, we will find some where else to go that has better customer service. Not impressed AT ALL. read more

I would give them -5 stars if I could, this place is very unprofessional, I have a piercing that was put in crooked, it needs a longer bar, I called before hand to see if there was anybody there to help me like a piercer. When I get there, there is no piercer present, what is present is three unprofessional employees, who have no solutions to help you, other than taking the piercing out, so they can charge me to put it back in after it heals, that's some good business sense. I had my snug and rook pierced by Chris, and I was very excited because I had wanted these piercings for a long time. When Chris pierced my snug he did not leave enough room for swelling in the barbell, which caused my ear to swell around the ball. I even sent a picture to Chris asking if my ear looked ok and he said that it was fine. There was a constant aching pain and pus coming out of my snug. 4 days later I had to go to the Emergency room and get multiple painful shots in my ear in order to have the barbells removed. 10/10 would not recommend, Ive had cartilage piercings before on my outer ear and this was by far my worst experience. read more

Came in to the shop because my nose piercing is infected and I was looking for some type of cleaner. I purchased this cleaner that was super over priced but my husband was insisting I get it. Afterward we asked the sales associate if she had a q tip I could have so I could apply the cleaner. Her response was, no. Really, you don't have a q tip even though you are a piercing and tattoo shop? I didn't appreciate the lie. And to top it off I had just bought some expensive cleaner that your store probably made a huge profit on, but you couldn't spare a q tip. Bad customer service. Piercings are extremely over priced and their book with previous tattoos is poor work. But what do you except in a tattoo/piercing shop in a mall Someone had messaged me about this incident saying "they can't give you a q-tip because of sanitation reasons with you cleaning your piercing in the store." If that is really the case, then they should have just told me that or told me I cannot clean it in the store. Not really an excuse to why the sales associate lied to me. read more

Chris "Cricket" Johnson did two anchor piercings in my lower back. I had the piercing done once before (NOT by Chris but still at a professional place) and the guy who did them FUCKED them up, they were uneven and my body rejected them after a couple years leaving ugly scar tissue. Chris took his time to make sure they were even and really worked hard to get through the scar tissue. He told me doing them over the scar tissue wasn't advisable because my body is more likely to reject them but I insisted. They turned out awesome, I can't imagine having my piercings done by anyone else. Chris is super knowledge, friendly, honest and his portfolio is SUPER impressive! read more

we went in last weekend saturday (may 12 2018 to be exact), Raquel pierced my sister in law's nose and tongue, and everything was fine, then she pierced my tongue and as soon as she was done and i put my tongue in, i inmediately knew it was crooked as hell, i told her and i showed her, and "of course" she had to cover up by saying "oh is not, is just a long bar and i can repierced it again if you want me to, or next week when you come back to change your bar then we can put one for free"...i said no you aint piercing it again, and i said i know is crooked but ok. i hate when "artist make mistakes and they try to cover up instead of owing up to their mistakes, heres a picture for you guys to see...i did spent $60 dlls for nothing, i lost all that money... i did took it out once i got home. im going to go get it better somewhere else... read more

Very, very unpleasant experience with tattoo artist Jeremy. My friend and I made a consultation appointment with him and we both showed him pictures of the images we wanted. He then went on his computer and printed off two different pictures to trace. When my friend asked him to change a few small things on her tracing, he made the argument that it was close enough. Then, the picture he printed off for my tattoo was completely different than the one I showed him and when I asked him to make it look like my image, he asked why I had him working on the other one but he's the one that printed it off. He then snatched the paper from me and said I shouldn't piss off my artist before he tattoos me. I did NOT appreciate the threat and I don't understand why he wouldn't just use the picture I showed him. How could he get mad like it was my fault he didn't listen to my request? I walked out immediately. I'm not gonna pay some jerk to stain my body with an image I don't like. Will not be going back. read more

My friend and I went in to BJP for simple cleaning instructions on a new piercing and their person that does there piercing, Chris Brown, was so blatantly rude to my friend. He wouldn't help us at all. Even though my friend had gotten her piercing from a different person and her piercer didn't give her any instructions, he wouldn't even take 15 seconds out of his busy time standing around texting and doing nothing, to help. I came in to buy a new nose ring (the first one ever since I had my nose pierced) and didn't know my gauge. The girl was really nice and said I was definitely a 20g and held a ring up to my nose and said it would be the correct diameter. I also bought my coworker some funny socks with pickles on them. I brought her the socks and then went home. Later that night I took out my old jewelry and put the new piece in and it was not only not the correct diameter but a smaller gauge. It took me another 30 minutes and some blood to work my larger gauge jewelry back into my nose. They have a very strict return policy and and because the girl was very confident that the jewelry was the correct size for me I didn't keep my receipt.. I called today and she said I couldn't exchange it without it. I manage a store across the hall and understand strict return policy's, but I also understand good customer service and that exceptions can be made in instances like this, I simply want the correct size of jewelry.. I still have it in their little branded bag and everything. Oh well, at least I'm only out $10.. But I won't be going there to get my second nose piercing later this week as I had planned.. And I definitely won't be coming back to purchase more jewelry. I just feel like they should make exceptions when their staff makes mistakes, especially since I just wanted to exchange.. This jewelry is worthless to me and now my nose is really sore. read more
