The services themselves were good, and the women doing them clearly knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, they talked to each other continuously throughout, which made the experience much less relaxing than it should have been. When you book a massage, being able to actually relax and enjoy some peace and quiet is a pretty basic expectation. What really bothered me, however, was what happened when I went to pay. I left a $30 tip on a $225 bill. I understand that 15-20% is customary, but a tip is discretionary. I chose the amount I felt was appropriate based on my experience. Instead of simply accepting my decision, I was called out on the amount of my tip and pressured to leave the full 20%. I ultimately added more because I was put in an extremely uncomfortable position. I have never had a business make me feel obligated to tip a certain amount. If a customer chooses to leave less than 20%, the appropriate response is to accept it professionally--not confront or pressure them into changing it. The quality of the massage was decent, but the constant talking and, especially, the way the tip was handled completely took away from the experience. I left feeling uncomfortable rather than relaxed, and unfortunately I would not return.
