I got the head spa along with the arm and foot massage. As several other reviewers have mentioned, the staff spent quite a bit of time chatting with each other. The whole point of coming here is to relax, so a quieter atmosphere would have made the experience much more enjoyable. The space itself felt calming and relaxing, but the constant chatter took away from that. For the head spa treatment, I was expecting more use of the signature semicircular water flow over the head. Instead, most of the wash was done using a regular handheld shower, similar to what you would experience at a salon. The semicircular feature was only used briefly. One other thing that surprised me was being asked directly for a tip at the end of the service. I would have tipped anyway, but I've never had anyone explicitly ask for one before, so it felt a little awkward. Overall, the experience was decent, but there are definitely areas where it could better match the relaxing experience that many customers are looking for. read more

A friend brought me for a hair wash and head massage. Upon arrival, no one was in the front to greet us so we awkwardly sat down. A gentleman then came to confirm our appointment times. Another woman that spoke minimal English used her phone translator to bring us to the waiting lounge. It was very pretty in there. I didn't think the bed they used was comfortable at all. Not a relaxing experience, and the way the tip was handled was extremely unprofessional. My fiancé and I came in for a head spa today and foot reflexology. The services themselves were good, and the women doing them clearly knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, they talked to each other continuously throughout, which made the experience much less relaxing than it should have been. When you book a massage, being able to actually relax and enjoy some peace and quiet is a pretty basic expectation. What really bothered me, however, was what happened when I went to pay. I left a $30 tip on a $225 bill. I understand that 15-20% is customary, but a tip is discretionary. I chose the amount I felt was appropriate based on my experience. Instead of simply accepting my decision, I was called out on the amount of my tip and pressured to leave the full 20%. I ultimately added more because I was put in an extremely uncomfortable position. I have never had a business make me feel obligated to tip a certain amount. If a customer chooses to leave less than 20%, the appropriate response is to accept it professionally--not confront or pressure them into changing it. The quality of the massage was decent, but the constant talking and, especially, the way the tip was handled completely took away from the experience. During our couples massage, the therapists talked to each other throughout the session, making it difficult to relax. My therapist relied on a translator app to communicate which was not clear, and the massage itself felt more like repetitive rubbing than actual massage. During the foot reflexology, she repeatedly scraped my feet with her fingernails, which was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. The worst part was checkout. I left a tip based on the service I received, but I was pressured into increasing it to 20%. Tipping is meant to reflect the quality of the service, not something customers should feel forced into. My hair and scalp felt so clean for days and I felt well pampered. The only minor thing was that our couples massage was in separate rooms and I would have liked to be together. My daughter and l had scalp massages. We both enjoyed it and could not get over how soft our hair is now. The massage is relaxing and included massaging our neck and shoulders in addition to our scalps. When we were finished, we were offered some delicious tea. We will be repeat customers.
