I took a whirlwind trip to Denver with a one night stay, and decided to treat myself with an extended spa appointment for the afternoon I arrived. I am leaving three out of five stars because the facial I received was great, but the other two services were definitely lacking. The massage therapist didn't seem like she had been formally trained, and the whole experience was somewhat uncomfortable. If you are local and can get a recommendation on a specific therapist, your experience may likely be different than mine. Interesting experience. We booked a massage labeled as the couples champagne suite. The receptionist was nice and helpful, exchanging phone calls and emails to find the right package for a relaxing experience. The waiting area was nice, we were led to the relaxation room which sounded nice but could use some updates: dirty ceiling tiles ( sheets covering them), a little cramped and only oversized robes no fitting options. We were told there would be two female massage therapists, when we arrived we were greeted by a male and female associate, no big deal we switched therapists and my partner and I felt more comfortable. The massage was great! Chris has been there 8 years and was really able to help my stress areas and even gave me some personal advice for jaw tightness. He went above and beyond in his job. After our massage we were taken back to the little relaxation room and given two empty (mismatched) champagne glasses and a to go container with a singular, slightly over baked potato and condiments. It was a little comical... but we laughed and enjoyed ourselves. Chris was great, and I recommend the actual massage very highly. read more

Very disappointing experience. I booked the chandelier suite as a Christmas gift to my fiancé. The massages were fine, although not more than that. But the after experience was just... bad. It's marketed as a romantic room with champagne and hors d'oeuvres. The room was reminiscent of nothing so much as a doctor's waiting room: brightly lit and the farthest atmosphere from romantic you can imagine. The "champagne" was sweet, probably Andre. I'm honestly not picky and would have been happy with a $12 bottle of Prosecco (though we just got two glasses). The platter was low quality cheese cubes and less than fresh grapes. I would guess all of it came from Costco. I'm sorry, but if I'm paying $500 I expect something better than this. I rarely write bad reviews but consider it my duty to spare others the wasted money. read more

Massages are a necessity for me. I'm hypermobile so have frequent muscular pain. I booked a massage here because it was the only place i could get into when i needed it. It was my first time going, and i regret it so deeply. I forgot who did my massage but she did deep tissue using referral pain points. That's a fine method, but i dont think she was properly trained. She said my right femur was too far forward in it's socket and did some work on my glutes and hips. She said "now your spine is properly aligned." When she actually misaligned it in an extremely painful way. I had sharp pain in my lower back basically with any spine movements. I gave it a bit thinking my body was adjusting, but the pain was excruciating. So i booked an appointment with a chiropractor to at least get x-rays and ensure my discs hadn't been damaged. They hadn't been, but my spine was painfully misaligned in my low back. He said she pushed my sacrum too far into me, which caused my lower back discs to be compressed and the nerves to rub against each other with bending forward and to the side. I had no idea that was a possibility... I'm still surprised a masseuse can cause that degree of damage and pain. Ive never had low back pain, and it began the day after the massage. I usually go to sabai thai which is cheaper and has always been good for me. I dont want to fully blame the masseuse. Maybe my body just responded badly... but i do think it's important for masseuses to know their limits. I'm not sure how one can definitively tell if a femur is too far forward in the socket, but they shouldnt over correct if it can cause a patient serious and lasting pain that i now have to pay to have fixed by a chiropractor. I'm just hoping it doesn't become chronic or leave me with lasting pain. I'm not necessarily saying dont go here. Id recommend sabai thai over this place. If you want a massage from here, just make sure you tell the masseuse to be cautious and not push your body too far. That shouldnt be your responsibility as a patient; they should know and be trained to know. But mine didn't and it's caused extreme pain that's basically incapacitating. It is slowly improving with chiropractic adjustments, but i shouldnt have to go to a chiro 3x a week to fix something an allegedly trained masseuse caused. It feels like i was assaulted while trying to get a massage to make my body feel better, like i paid to feel worse than i could imagine. Im attaching a picture of my xray that shows the lower 2 discs compressed. Their other services might be amazing, but exercise caution with their deep tissue massages. Also she had cold hands which didn't bother me when i thought i was getting treated, but it doesn't feel relaxing if that's what you're looking for. read more

Was in town for a work conference and realized we were going to have a few spare hours that afternoon. A co-worker and I decided we desperately needed massages so I went straight to Yelp to find a spot. Fortunately not only was did you guys have openings to accommodate both of us but we're within walking distance of the hotel. Let me tell you, this was the best part of the whole conference!! Prior to our massages we both were complaining about how tight our shoulders were and that we both needed a deep massage. Well neither of us walked out disappointed! Both of us were raving that our massage therapist had to be better than the others because of the focus they paid to our problem areas. Not only that but they each gave us suggestions on what to do in our everyday lives to help alleviate future tension issues. The facility is also clean and the staff is very friendly. We both would highly recommend that anyone in the area, as well as anyone visiting from out of town, stop by if you ever need those kinks worked out. Went with my best friend for a "couples" massage. The massage itself was amazing. After the massage we were taken to a run down room with a shredded couch for "champagne and charcuterie". The champagne was not champagne, and the charcuterie was sub par, string cheese wrapped in deli meat, and almonds you could break a tooth on. But that wasn't a big deal to us, we laughed it off and went on with our day. However... when we went to check out with the receptionist, she was nothing but snarky. She basically forced a 20-25% tip on top of our $320 (60 minute) massage. We love tip for services, but appreciate the option, not forcing it on and saying it's not included in the price with an eye roll. As my friend was swiping her card, another option for a tip came up. Personally, would have rather been given the option to leave the tip when swiping the card, instead of being told that the only options are 20 or 25%. It left a horrible taste in our mouths. After spending almost $400, we will not be returning. read more

I had the WORST experience here. The massage was horrendous - the "masseuse" repeatedly touched an injury that I made her aware of beforehand & reminded her of multiple times during the massage. She did not massage my muscles at all, only applied pressure to my bones resulting in bruising on my shins and ribs. She also CHOKED ME several times. All this after our appointment time was rescheduled twice day of. We made the person at the front desk aware of this and was told the owner would reach out. It took several days and contact attempts before I was able to speak with an owner and who was very rude - she called me a liar and refused to do anything to make the situation right. DO NOT GO HERE! Confession: we were originally gonna go to the Ritz for some body treatments but they were closed. Boy am I glad that was the case. We got everything we wanted and more for about half the rate. We did the couples champagne massage for my husband's 35th birthday. Our entire experience from booking with Peggy, to the actual massage was flawless. With $162 per person we got champagne, a small plate, sparkling water, a massage, a back scrub, and a hot stone foot treatment. They even threw in a scalp massage for my husband since it was his birthday. The therapist that worked on me was named Amy and she was incredibly attentive to all my needs, constantly checking in to see if the pressure she was applying was sufficient. I purchased a laser package via a Groupon/Living social deal and the Shellac mani from crowd savings. I've found all of the staff to be decently nice overall. Thankfully I didn't have the same experience detailed below with my Shellac mani. Mine came out well & Thuy was very pleasant to me, but I didn't feel the whole experience was something that rocked my world so much that I would go back there frequently for the service. So far my laser appointments have been nice, but this is my first experience with it so I don't have much to compare it with. I did have an appointment where I was stuck in traffic & trying to find a place to park. I called ahead by 15 minutes to let them know I would be a little late due to the traffic. The receptionist never told the gal I had an appointment with that I was running late & she was not real happy with me. She pointed out that "next time" I should call ahead. When I explained to her that was exactly what I did she was more understanding. The biggest deterrent with this place that would keep me from returning is dealing with parking. It is virtually impossible to find a spot at a meter, and the lots in the area are very expensive which is a huge aggravation. Your best bet is to park under Denver Pavillions & just walk over. The night I was running late for my appointment, there was a concert at the Paramount (which is on the other side of the block) and even the parking lots close by were full which made me more late from having to park further away & I had to pay $10 for a 15 minute appointment. That's just not worth it for me. You almost have to give yourself 30 mins extra time prior to your appointment to make sure you can get a parking spot, & with a meter, you'll be paying extra if you happen to snag one if you get there that early! I would recommend checking out the Lotion bars that they sell! They are great. read more

I had an amazing massage yesterday! I have been dealing with a neck and shoulder injury and was in a lot of pain. I wanted a very relaxing experience but also some help releasing the level of pain I was in. Rachel did such an amazing job! This by far was the best massage I have had in a long time, let alone in Denver. She listened to exactly what I wanted and needed, and made me feel so much better and so relaxed. I left feeling so much better. She covered me in CBD and really helped me to feel like I was doing the right thing. The only thing I would recommend - being someone who LOVES a good massage and full relaxation it would say it would be amazing to add a heating pad (full length of the bed) under the sheets, as it was a little cold in the room with the air on and that would seal the deal and make this a full experience for me. For starters, we arrived 15 minutes early. The door was locked. When we were finally let in, the staff was polite. Gina, my massage therapist had no consistency whatsoever to her massage technique. She did more rubbing and poking than massaging. The room was SUPER COLD! My feet were freezing because she left them uncovered while she massaged my upper body. She did NOT have a clue about how to give a massage. It was the worst massage I ever had! I paid for the upgrade which was an additional $20...HUGE MISTAKE! The "HOT" towels were not hot! I was in Denver with my 2 best friends on a weekend getaway (Denver was the midway point for us between Los Angeles and Wisconsin). Not only were we pleasantly surprised by how much Denver had to offer but I was particularly happy with our experience at Body Massage. I had a fantastic masseuse named Susan who gave a wonderful prenatal massage. At 7 months preggo with a very active toddler, I am pretty much aching all over all the time. This was the first massage I've gotten in almost 3 years and Susan was an absolute expert. Perfect pressure, she was able to identify sensitive areas and try to work on them (I also have scoliosis so am more apt to back pain), and kept the experience very relaxed. She was chatty without being too chatty and regularly checked in with me to make any adjustments. My other friend got a massage (which she said was great) and the other a foot massage (I will say my friend who got the foot massage did mention her masseuse seemed a bit unsure of what he was doing so Body Massage may not be the place if you're looking for reflexology - check in with the schedulers to ensure you get the right person for you). All in all it was a great experience for me and I sure do wish Susan was local to Los Angeles! read more

They were very nice when we walked in, knew our names and walked us through our choices. We were taken to a luxurious waiting room to change into robes and sandals, our therapists walked us through the rest of our time. They were kind and direct, but incredibly strong and knowledgeable.
