Instead the massage therapist treats you while you are partially clothed and covered by a sheet. If you need serious bodywork due to pain or tight muscles then Guozhi is your man. I was not quite prepared for how intense it was. It was a LOT but I walked out feeling at least 90% better (I came in with very tense shoulders and almost a kink in my neck). There were two times when I had to ask him to reduce the pressure and he was so understanding. I couldn't believe how he went 90 minutes nonstop but he did. He wanted to know what was bothering me and where I needed him to focus.

She is practiced in - among other methods -deep tissue massage; if you don't know what that is, or did not ask,-posting a whiney complaint that "she hurt my back" shows a lack of understanding on your part. Yes, Deep Tissue Massage can hurt, initially; if you can withstand a few minutes of that minor "pain" you will find that the pain that brought you there has been alleviated. If the "pain" of her skilled treatments are beyond your tolerance - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE This is not for everyone, until you realize the benefit she provides, So Please do not disparage her knowledge and skill with a comment based on ignorance. One 30 minute session changed the chronic aching in BOTH legs and BOTH shoulders to the point where i stopped blaming my joints for the searing spasms and missteps into the realization that the major nerves affected EVERYTHING i was feeling. The first (approximately) 10 minutes were spent on my feet; not gonna say it didn't hurt, it was like standing on a stone directly under your heels. The good news? THAT discomfort simply left my body, and it vanished quickly. She knew it before i did. It was interesting - my masseuse actually seemed much more effective and precise using their feet/toes than their hands! Pricing (as of 2019 October) was as follows: $40 plus tip for 30 minutes $50 plus tip for 60 minutes $60 plus tip for 90 minutes ~$10 each for adding on another masseuse, scented oils, heat, etc. Interestingly, you pay before the massage, and then tip afterward, much like Gentle Massage across the street (which seems to offer almost identical services). I'm so thankful for their digital system that you can book massages after hours. I've had great success with booking massages on their online platform. I just pick my day, my choice of people, which is always Tata, and the time she and I are both available. Her calendar fills up pretty quickly so I was just lucky to get the last appointment of the day, I usually book at least a week in advance. During one period I would book my appointments a month in advance to ensure I got the day and time I wanted. That's when I had a nicer boss and I was able to book weekly appointments. That was the life. Now I have a boss that doesn't always sign off of time off request, which creates more stress in my life and thus I need more massages. This is Tata's second location since I've been going to her. Before she was located in Downtown Sacramento, which was so convienent as I could walk over from work. I miss those days, I was able to squeeze in a massage any work day. If she still had the downtown location I would come more often as then I could come on my lunch breaks. The advantage of this new location is free parking and a private lot. Now it's a bit of a drive getting there, but it's more convienent on non work days to get a parking place. I've been coming to Tata for many years now and I've tried almost all of her massage types. This time I had the Thai Combo Massage. Half Thai Massage and half Swedish Massage. It was very enjoyable. I really felt it loosened my muscles. And has helped me from avoiding getting sciatica nerves. I was getting the all Thai massage when my muscles were really tight and I had frozen shoulders. the Thai massage really dug in there and listened those muscles. While I had frozen shoulders I was coming weekly and that helped them. It was painful, but it quickened the recovery process. It was still a long road to recovery. One of my favorite massages is when she uses the Herbal Balls. I think the massage is called Thai Herbal. This is best in the winter as it gets quite warm in the summer, but I still love it, but always forget to sign up for this one. I keep saying next time I'll remember. Hopefully I really remember to sign up for it next time. It doesn't matter what type of massage you get, they are all great. She's very conscious of the pressure and continually asks you how the pressure is. This is great as one time you may want more or less pressure from the last time you were there or a different type of pressure for different body parts. If your haven't tried Tata out, give her a try. My husband had her sister and thought she was great and I've read other reviews and people have had other people so it sounds like they are all good and I just have my favorite. I've been going to her for so long so we have a relationship and it's great to go in and catch up. You don't have to chat if you don't want to. A silent massage is great too and you can just enjoy the beautiful music.
