I had such a healing experience with Chan. He literally worked on me for almost three hours, and there is still so much more that needs to be done. I told him he has the patience of God! What I loved was that he spoke with me throughout the session. He explained what he was doing as he was doing it, and why it was going to help. My focal point was my upper body. Neck, traps, head it was all tense. He literally went knot by knot releasing tension. Asking me my pain level every step of the way. It hurt I won't lie, but it was a good hurt. What this session made me realize was that our bodies are like cars. My massage therapist was great. He was kind , courteous , respectful , professional and gave me a lot of advice. I went in for a deep tissue massage to focus on my neck and shoulders. He spent most of the time on those areas. He was also able to pop my back by using the technique of wrapping a towel around my neck and giving it a quick tug., I thought for sure my neck would pop but didn't think it would go all the way down my spine to my lower back. Yesterday, I requested a 90-minute massage from Sean Buth, CCPMT. I have been receiving massages for over 40 years...and I have never had such a thorough and healing procedure! From the very beginning, I will offer to those reading this post, I knew this was going to be a different experience from the typical day spa or cookie-cutter membership based massage. First, my referral was word of mouth. Sean works within his own individual suite within a shared office spa. The location is situated off Freeport Blvd (in a complex that has a rear-faced parking lot). I recommend parking in the back near the stairs for easier access. If it feels a "little sketchy," switch your perspective. This is a nice older area of town. It's more intimate...than intimidating. Moving on: I spoke with Sean directly. Be prepared. He is a man of few words...yet understand his words were essential. No 30-minute consultation (with lengthy paperwork) is needed because Sean performs an assessment through conversation. Whew, imagine being treated like a person and not simply an appointment. The suite: The space was clean and cozy with two separate tables/beds. I couldn't help but notice the ceiling braces. Keep an open mind. I learned that the overhead bar structure is to help provide balance and support for the therapist while performing Ashiatsu/ Thai massages. What really impressed me about his technique were the constant check-ins to ensure the pressure was effective, his recall for my individual aches and pains, and at the halfway point, he was mindful to toward the making the second half of the process as impactful on my remaining body parts. I received a customized massage, and he used 4 different modalities to soothe my chronic pain. My chronic pains are hormonal/ inflammatory disorders. These conditions are degenerative. I arrived so stiff from inflammation that I struggled climbing up the stairs to Sean's office. By the time we were finished, my posture was realigned, my muscles felt limber, and my lower back pain was gone!! Post review: 24 hours later, I've slept through the night for the first time in ages! I feel great. There were no issues with my bladder or having my pelvis stiff in a tilted position. My feet do not feel sore, and the range of motion has returned to my neck. Sean prayed over my treatment and healing. Wrap up: Sean made the payment process simple, as he accepts Zelle. This was hands down the best massage I've ever had!! It was really hard to find a masseuse in Sacramento but I'm glad I found Sean. He was very kind and very respectful. He customized my massage to meet my needs and provided a combination of stretching and chiropractics as well since I told him I have a lot of sports related injuries.
