I remember going here as a little girl and getting lime sherbert milkshakes! Back then it used to be a run down little place but I visited a few years ago and they have a new location and whole new feel to the place! A vast improvement! Eating there was great. Loved the enviornment and the burgers were delicious. The milkshakes were as good as I remembered and I cannot wait to go back next year! I think anyone who disses this local joint doesn't know Salina very well. Sure if you want to go to McDonalds or Freddy's be my guest, but this is where I'd get a burger, fries, and shake any day! Their burgers are great. They get their meat from the local meat shop across the street. Their curley fries are yummy. I love their wraps! And they have any flavor of shake you can imagine! I have been craving for a flavorful juicy burger for quite a long time, five guys style, and this place does fix it. To be fair, the burger is juice and tender, but flavorless, which is a bit weird. Don't go to Bogeys if you're in a hurry. The drive-thru wait time is almost always 20 minutes, and you have to pull into the tiny parking lot, where other customers tend to block you in while they also wait for food. They don't keep decent track of what food belongs to which of the 5 cars in the parking lot waiting, so the go down the line asking what you had, all while the food gets cold. If you go inside, expect a long wait there too, and tables that very obviously don't get wiped down very often. The burgers are okay at best, onion rings are typically burnt, and the fries are almost always cold and chewy. They do have really good chicken wraps. I have been a fan of Bogey's since I was a kid and practically spent my summers there with my friends trying out all the different shakes. My favorite is caramel twix. The burgers, hot dogs, poppers and cheddar bites are really good too. I don't think I have tried anything there I haven't liked! They are artery clogging as said before, but worth the visit! Yum - this was my first time to Bogey's Salina. I was on a roadtrip home to Hutchinson and couldn't wait any longer to fulfill my Bogey's craving. Ended up ordering the hamburger meal (a hamburger, steaming fresh fries, and a chocolate diet dr. pepper) which I proceeded to devour in my car before hitting the road. Ah yes! What can I say, you want a shake, name it, they got it! My fav is an pb/oreo! And they make a pretty mean hamburger too... and the tator tots with cheddar cheese. Another must visit when I return to salina. "traditional hole in the wall" bogeys is in an old gas stationed that was remodeled. The decor needs a redo as is showing it's age. We were driving the treacherous I-70 stretch between KC/Denver and wanted to enjoy our meal along the way. Fortunately, we chose Bogey's. It's everything a small town burger should be: clean, classic and just the right amount of unhealthy. The burger meat was delicious. My husband compared it to Five Guys, while I thought it was better in flavor. I chose the Oreo Peanut Butter shake based upon reviews. Let's just say I'd have problems is this was nearer to home. The curly fries were good, I prefer more seasoned batter but I really can't complain. It will be a mandatory stop every time we take this route from here on out. read more

Best ice cream products in town. Back when I was younger and had a stronger stomach I would get what they still call the Mile High Burger,which is basicly a Big Mac style 4 pattie (quad) burger. The burgers have a taste of their own which is just fine. If you are going to pick up at the drive-thru call in first as there is usually a good wait if you order it right then. I cannot understand how this place gets such good reviews. I ate there a while back and the food was terrible. I ordered a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. The burger was only edible and the chili cheese fries were probably the worst I've ever had. Fries tasted stale and the burger was nothing better than any fast food chain. I have not tried one of their shakes that they're supposedly known for, so maybe that's what most reviewers like about the place. This is in a really neat old building, but the counter set up is completely dysfunctional. They really need to look at making one end a pick up side and one for orders rather than handing food over the heads of customers while they order or pay. Other than that, just a typical burger joint. Chicken strips were great, cheese balls are the same as every other place, but still good. My friend said her burger was okay, but small and the fries could use more seasoning. Pretty pricey, but good overall. read more
