We have hired them to install a new door sweep on our historic front door, fix the wood/mounting for our kitchen floor and seal up some windows. The first guy from their team who "fixed" the kitchen floor ended up making it worse and I'll admit that we were quite frustrated. Fortunately, we shared our concerns and they sent someone new to properly fix it. Real wood floors are not cheap! We've hired them for another upcoming project that we could realistically do ourselves but with limited time and how easy it is to book them, we decided to push the "easy" button again.

Owner Shawn Stevens is a remarkable individual who maintains the highest integrity and character of anyone I have done business with. He is a consummate professional in every aspect. His initial visit left me convinced I wanted to work with Garage Theory, irrespective of other garage design companies I vetted. Though the opportunity for selecting an alternative company with lower pricing may have seemed the more prudent approach, it was clear from each interaction with Shawn that Garage Theory was superior in every facet from design, cordiality, professionalism and quality of workmanship, installer job satisfaction and installation. From product selection to no-pressure sales to installation and followup, each step was beyond my expectations. Several examples emphasize my experience. 1. No pressure sales; constant followup through design stage, timeliness on installation and professional installers. 2. Shawn refused final payment until each detail was addressed and resolved following installation. The cabinets required a remake of a cabinet door as it was a few millimeters wider than the others which I hadn't noticed but the installer brought to my attention and so a new door was manufactured and installed without hesitation. 3. Business bashing by his competitor did not rattle Shawn. He took the high road and paid complements to the competitor and acknowleged that each company has strengths and weaknesses but there is room for each company in the business. 4. Shawn encourages customers to shop and compare with competing companies and let the consumer conclude that Garage Theory is that one company that conveys high standards, pursues professional and courteous sales and installation and exceedingly high quality cabinets, shelving and wall units for hanging items. Obviously, I am high on Garage Theory after my experience but am confident their approach is consistant with each project and consumer.
