We arranged for (and I can't recall the individuals name but I think his name was Bill or Bob) Bogner Pools to come out and give us a quote for our pool. Bob or Bill comes out and tells us that he will "pass" on our pool! We are like wait, you drove out here to give us an estimate and then you say you pass!?? Ok, I get it, businesses have the right to pick and choose but we as customers would have at least wanted the reason why. Very unprofessional and now we will gladly pay $20,000 for our remodel, replaster pool project. Please take down your advertisement on Van Burean street because this company not only is plain out unprofessional but RUDE! We couldn't believe it! Please STAY away! They can't handle projects and from what I've read, can't keep a deadline anyway. Sad, especially if they are doing this to customers during this time and who are willing to pay their business. I interviewed at least 4 different pool companies before I hired Bogner Pools to do the work. They aren't the cheapest but they are worth every penny. Chad came out to our home twice and listened to our wish list. Although our dream pool was way off what he can offer, he was able to put together a plan that worked for our budget. Bogner will give you a written contract and there are no hidden fees or surprises along the way. What you sign for is what you will pay. The entire crew and any third party contractors (different depending on the work being done) are all very professional. Bogner makes sure that everything is on schedule and the work is complete. They will continuously communicate with you. Yvette was my go to person and she kept me informed every step of the way. Shannon was also available to handle anything while Yvette was not in the office. We had a few minor issues like the spa jets getting covered while plastering and Bogner was on top of it to fix it. The owner Joe personally called me to make sure my questions were handled and I was pleased with the project. Overall, I would highly recommend Bogner Pools. First off, LET THIS BE YOUR WARNNING if you are not happy with the finished product, to bad, that is the way it will stay, regardless of how many communications you attempt. We had Bogner replaster our pool, which took two week longer than contracted. When they were finished there were three or four plaster areas that were rough and have cracks . It has been over a year and we where at first really excited and happy to have Bogner doing our pool. This was a hugh investment for us and we went with a company that had good reviews. However we shortly found out that there sub contractors were not so great. We told the pool designer we wanted to keep some of the landscaping and he said no issue, and not to worry that any damage they did they would replace. NOT true, damaged landscaping everywhere, bent my vinyl fencing with the machinery, the pool plaster employees cleaned there tools in my grass, left chunks of concrete, and even stole my garden hose (Bogner did pay for this). They finished the pool in record time, which was nice. After a few months we noticed that the pebble tech was really rough especially in some areas in the spa , it would actually cut your skin. We also noticed cracks in the concrete around the pool, which they said was normal and to deal with it. We called them back out to look at the pebble tech in the spa and a few months later they showed up and agreed to fix the issue. We opted to wait until off season to complete. So we recently called them to come fix it and after waiting a few weeks for a response we finally were told that the plaster people would be out to fix on Tuesday of this week between 8 am and 12 pm. I took the morning of work for them to show up at 1150 to tell me that they would be back today Friday to do the work?????? REALLY...... So OK..... Well I just got a call no an email from Bogner pools stating that they cant come out today and would like to reschedule again. Seriously... What kind of customer service is this. If you want a decent pool build, with no customer service or loyalty then go ahead and use them. But if you want anything more than that look elsewhere. Sorry I waited a whole year to write this review hoping that I would not have to write it. But when you spend $65,000, you would hope to get better customer service then what they provide. read more

They say you don't get a second chance to make a first impression and Chad from Bogner pools certainly made an excellent first impression. He came out to our house, computer in hand and spent 3 hours taking measurements, going over the design in detail and discussing options. By the end of his visit, we had a full 3D rendering of what our yard would look like when finished. We were very impressed. Three days later we went to his office to discuss the details. He had a huge sheet of paper - a blue print sized drawing of our back yard and the pool. He went over the drawing with us and explained everything in detail. Then he showed us the price - we were mildly surprised. We had gotten several other estimates and theirs very reasonable and by far, the most comprehensive. Every single item was broken down by major piece, the pool, fire pit, concrete, BBQ etc. Each major component was further broken down by size, length and quantity. It really made us feel confident they knew exactly what they were doing and they weren't trying to hide anything. It also provided us the ability to pick and choose things to fit our budget. After a few changes and some negotiation, we were ready to move forward. If anybody has dealt with Home Owners Associations, you know what a pain they can be. Chad had plenty of experience in this department and 2 days later he provided us with an HOA ready design and set of plans. They were approved without problem. The construction process went relatively smooth. Every worker and sub-contractor that came out to the house was friendly and courteous. They had all worked with Bogner for many years and knew exactly what they were doing. They were very professional and extremely competent in their craft. Another thing worth noting here, if you've ever had major construction work done to your home, then you know that most company's use sub-contractors. Normally a sub-contractor will place a lien on your property until they are paid in full. Even if you pay the General Contractor, if they in turn, don't pay the sub - you're on the hook. You usually find this out when you get a Notice of Lien from the County Recorder's Office. You can find plenty of horror stories on the internet about this. But not with Bogner - they pay all their sub-contractors up front AND they give you a Release from Liability for each sub that works on your project. There are no Liens or worries that some plumber will show 3 months down the road because they didn't get paid. Speaking of payments - I liked the way Bogner broke down their payment schedule into three milestones. The first payment was not due until after they completed digging and pouring the Gunite. The second one after everything was done and the final one at the very end - after training was complete. This is a great way to pay. They don't work - they don't get paid. Naturally there were a few hiccups along the way, but when I called Bogner, they worked with me to resolve the issues. It served as a good warning to keep a close eye on these things during construction. In the end, 11 weeks later and right on schedule, I was swimming in my pool and cooking on my new BBQ. The pool is beautiful and the quality of construction is excellent. We are very happy. Weeks later and after the fact, there were a couple of issues and they came out right away and took care of them. They stand behind their product and are very responsive. I would highly recommend going with a reputable and professional builder like Bogner. They have been in business and in the area for over 25 years and it shows. He was always on time and responsive to my questions or concerns. I am deeply grateful for Chris Cowles who has engineered the final shape on the ground with its spectacular details very intelligently on the excavation day and all his construction team who had flawless work. Bogner was the original pool builder for our pool. We hired Bogner to renovate our pool. They did do it in a timely manner and they did a beautiful job. We did have a problem with our filtration system, however, a stop check valve solved that problem. It has been a few years since we had the pool renewed and with that check valve, the pool is a sparkle of beauty. If you have a pool and a new Pentair quad filter and you are having diatomaceous earth traveling back into your pool and or spa, it is probably because your pool is lower than your spa and the water is siphoning back through the pipes creating a suction from the filter's intake back into the spa or pool or both. If you have a spa, when the pump is off and the water siphon's back into the pool, then you may have this problem and a stop check valve will solve that problem. Originally, I gave this company a 1 star rating because I was very upset with the service guys, but I do have to say, they were willing to do whatever it took to attempt to solve the problem, so I give them credit for that. Working with Bogner Pools was a dream! From the initial meeting with Chad to the final start up with Bob (and everyone in between) everything for us on our end was smooth and effortless. They were great in letting us know when things were scheduled to happen, and everything happened when they said it would. We had decided to add a spa to our backyard with a rock waterfall feeding into the spa. Nice idea and Chad the salesman told us the rock contractor would work with us and present many styles with which to choose from. That did not happen. Instead we have a rock waterfall that the contractor envisioned, but did not meet our expectations. Now we have a white film bleeding through the concrete cracks which looksw.w most unattractive in the most outwardly visible portion of the spa. Let me add, this spa is only 9 months old. We have emailed requests to Joe the owner, to again send another contractor to either fix or re-paint the rock and we have not heard a word in over a month. I suppose this type of customer service is typical for a contractor who has been fully paid and the customer is left in limbo with no recourse. Please be aware if you are having rock work done, that it meets all your expectations, otherwise you may end up with an eyesore like ours. Bruce W. read more

Well, a section of the cantilevered pool deck continues to sink. Their first solution was to put grout in the expansion joints and they advised that would solve the problem. It didn't and it continued to drop, then I was advised it was no longer covered. Really disappointed. read more

If you need any pool project done, I would highly recommend Bogner Pools. My pool service company told me my pool was leaking. I had 4 different pool companies come out to try to fix the leak in the pool and paid about $1,000 trying to detect the leak. No one could figure out what was wrong with the pool. Bogner Pools was recommended to me and they were extremely kind and professional. Joe showed up to help me and was able to diagnose what was wrong with the pool immediately and able to fix the problem. Joe was able to explain to me how the pool worked and what was wrong in a way no one else was able to do. He actually cared about me as a person even though he did not know me at all. Bogner Pools is the most reliable and professional company you will find and seem to know more about pools than any other pool company. I would never use another company other than Bogner.
