If I could give 6 stars to Jeremy and Paul at California Pools - Corona, I would. I have had 3 pools built with 3 different companies and Jeremy was a notch ahead of everyone else. After narrowing down the search to the 3 most reputable pool builders in SoCal, I spent another month nailing down a design. Jeremy was the ONLY one who was no pressure, willing to take the time to brainstorm ideas in front of a design program and did everything he could to bring my vision to life. The other 2 companies tried to steer me into their specific direction and opinions about what my pool should be - and any time I asked for a change in their design, they were visibly annoyed. Once the design was set and contract signed, Jeremy and Paul were always accessible and willing to answer any and all of my never-ending questions. Anytime an issue arose, they were both on it immediately to correct it or come up with a solution. My project was very difficult. It involved demo-ing a huge slop and running a very long retaining wall in addition to the pool dig. Like many places in the IE, my ground and slope was SOLID and access was VERY NARROW...a terrible combo. We started our pool building process with a ton of research - interviewed a half dozen different builders, read all their reviews, checked with BBB and Contractors State License Board for each. Time consuming, yes, but this was a huge decision/purchase and wanted to get it right. Will try to focus on the highlights in this review that might help as you go through your process. Jeremy was accommodating from the beginning, working with our sometimes-difficult schedules to meet with us as many times as needed to get to a final quote. CPC final quote was not the absolute cheapest, but with everything included, and comfort level with Jeremy, was the best value for the money on paper. Once signed, Jeremy was all over the project and got us through the initial planning and permit process faster than expected, and well within the timeframe he estimated. Jeremy did a tremendous job keeping us updated on schedules and progress and was always prompt to answer any questions. Very pleased with the care taken by the CPP crew with existing landscaping and things like general daily clean-up and closing of gates. Just great attention to the little details that make something like this run smoothly. Jeremy went out of his way to help us with things that were definitely not part of the scope of the pool, sacrificing his personal time to make sure all elements of our "pool oasis" project came together. I cannot say enough about how great Jeremy and California Pools did in building our pool. They came highly recommended by a family friend and after initially reaching out to Quinton, Jeremy took over for the rest. We were not in a rush to start anything, and Jeremy respected that and allowed us to take our time. When we met in person to start the design, he listened to every idea we had and didn't try to rush us or talk us into or out of anything. He was, however, honest about what can and cannot be done, but also reassured us that he would check into anything that may not be feasible. He came by multiple times to check and recheck his measurements, the slope of our hill, and the layout of our backyard, and updated the design based on our changes without any hesitation. Once we decided to move forward, the entire construction process went so smooth we almost thought it was too good to be true. Jeremy was very open with potential problems (sprinkler/pipe repair, rain delays and issues it may cause, etc.). The night before a big rain, Jeremy came by and put in a pump and came by the next morning to make sure everything was running correctly. His crews were fantastic as well. They all came on time, were respectful of our property, and often times went above and beyond what was necessary. They were also very clean and sometimes came on the Saturdays to make sure everything was done correctly. Jeremy contacted us or stopped by almost daily with updates on construction and where we were at on the timeline. We never felt like we were just one of many other jobs that they were running, it always felt like we were their only pool being built at that time. He was very responsive to texts and calls and made sure we knew his schedule and why there may be delays in him getting back to us. And all of the changes that were made mid-construction were not met with any push back. They even made sure little things like replacing the drain grates that were missing before construction, was done. In the summer of 2022, I called out several pool companies and began taking estimates to have a pool built in my backyard. Ultimately, I made the decision to go with California Pools based on the overall design, pricing, and the professional relationship I immediately felt from both Quinton and Jeremy. Construction began in November. At the time, Jeremy was the project manager and was in the process of taking over the business from Quinton. So, for the most part, I almost entirely dealt with Jeremy from start to finish. I have to say throughout the entire process, I felt truly blessed to have Jeremy in charge of the project. All the subcontractors that came in were well-experienced, timely, and professional. Never once did I feel like any of the crews were doing poor quality work, in fact, quite the opposite, I felt like they were all topnotch. Anytime I had questions, concerns, or change orders I would call and discuss them with Jeremy, and he immediately addressed them either through phone conversation or visiting the job site, making sure I was completely satisfied and taken care of the entire time. There were many times I felt Jeremy went above and beyond what was expected and often got things done for me that were beyond his job scope. He was always easy to get ahold of, easy to communicate with, extremely professional, kind, and kept me well informed on all the "next steps" of the pool construction. The pool was completed in early June. This was the year when we had an extremely huge and constant amount of rainfall in California. There were times throughout the job when it was necessary to delay construction. Most contractors would have used that as an excuse to push out the timeline of the job, but Jeremy never did. He was aware of the timeline that he expected to have the job completed and kept to it as best as he could even when I thought it was completely justifiable that the job be pushed out. Overall, I can't tell you how smoothly and quickly this job went. I have heard nightmare stories from friends and family about their pool construction process and luckily, I could not relate because Quinton and especially Jeremy did such an outstanding job building my pool. First, California Pools-Corona is an excellent company if you want a swimming pool built! Quinton and Jeremy were awesome from the start! My husband and I started thinking about having a pool built beginning of July 2022. I called out one company to come and give us an estimate, told us to have a design first. We didn't call them again. I called out another company, they came out, gave us an estimate but wanted another quote. I called out California Pools-Corona and Jeremy called me back. He set up the appt to give us an estimate. He came out July 15th 2022 and the estimate was comparable to the 2nd company estimate. July 26th, 2022, We decided to go with California Pools-Corona because not only were they quick to respond, they gave us a design that was great, a price that we were able to afford, timeline to complete was 4-6 months, but we felt they were honest and upfront with us from the start. We gave a payment down that day. Also, we wanted a company that was reputable, and have the experience and know how on pools/designs. The process was fast getting design approved and We started digging our pool Sept 14, 2022 and took 5 months to finish. Done February 14, 2023. We are so happy of how our pool/spa came out, the design of it to fit our backyard and the materials we chose, it all was great, we made a few changes to original design plans but it all turn out so amazing!!!! We chose Gold Rush flagstone coping around the pool, nptpool.com Cool Waves 6x6 blue tile for the inside of the pool and chose StoneScapes Tropics Blue Mini Pebble instead of plaster!!! It came out beautiful!!! Better than I could have imagined! So in love with it! We'll let's see where to start, my initial phone call I guess. Spoke to Quinton about getting an estimate for building a pool. He transferred me to Jeremy. Kind of gave him a rough idea of what we were looking for, his response was we can build anything we want!! This was important to us, it meant he was listening to us and valued our ideas and plans on the design. We got 4 other estimates from builders that had their idea for our pool. Jeremy set up a meeting two days after initial call and took the information of what we were looking for in our pool and started working on designs immediately. After some tweaks here and there, is changing things not California Pools we had a design within a week or so. Like I say we had other estimates and California Pools came in the middle. We decided to have them build our pool based off interactions with Quinton and Jeremy, very customer service oriented. In hindsight it was a no brainer, working with Jeremy from day one and having him as designer and project manager made the whole process so easy. Once plans were approved breaking ground literally happened a couple days later. Their sub contractors are phenomenal. Each trade were on time and according to schedule if not early. Jeremy kept us in the loop and communicated with us at least a couple times a week. In the end our pool was completed in about 4 months. I know this is not typical and we got in line at the right time but this is a testament to California Pools and Jeremy having everything lined up ahead of time. It seemed like that someone was at our house almost every day. Of course there were a couple times in between trades where there were a few day of no action but far and few in between. At the end of the day I would recommend Jeremy and California Pools all day long because of the attention to customer service, great designs and even better work. My wife and I met with several pool contractors over the course of a month. When we met with Eric he made us feel very comfortable and really took the time to answer all of our questions. He gave us ideas and more importantly saved us money. Our pool was just completed a few weeks ago and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Let me say California Pools was amazingly responsive. They called immediately and had an appointment within two weeks. Eric came out and we discussed issues with demo and access (things we worried about) All was good and he said their designs were 3 weeks out, understandable. All of this is ok. Fast forward to 3.5 weeks out and I get a voicemail that they could not fulfill our requests and if we want to use their services, call back in the winter. We are a little upset for the long wait time and they will not even think about a contract for a smaller pool. Let's cut to 5 days later. I got a call at 5 on Saturday from the owner of the local location. I tried to explain his designer left me a message that our job size wasn't available for them to fulfill. The owner wouldn't accept this info, there must be a mistake. After a couple minutes of discussion of our "want list", the owner realized he had the my number associated with a different design. The call immediately ended with a "yeah, your pool isn't an option now" I know $80,000 pool is small change for a pool company. But the waiting, disappointment and then needing to convince the owner he had the wrong house makes me think this business location is having trouble managing business. I know these times are crazy.
