    Sample plate/picnic pack

Do you love cheese ? You will be happy here, My family came here for cheese tasting on our most recent Memorial day weekend trip. If you are looking for a fancy tasting place maybe this is not your place however the place is very clean and you will be tasing on a table under an Umbrella, each table have an Umbrella and the seating's are very spacious. They have a very nice clean bathroom accessible from outside but attached to the main building, the parking can be a little tight though but doable. I found that the service is somewhat cold/ rude but we were already there and since I didn't have to see their faces all the time while I enjoyed my cheese I just ignore it but the old lady in charge is not very friendly. Depending on the day and the time of your visit it could be very windy so make sure to bring long sleeves shirt so you can add your outwear if its get windy, the views from the tasting is beautiful like pastures on the prairies, an open land so the air feel very clean, the property itself is very small, the shop is very small however the only thing you do in the shop is to make your patter selection and you wait for your cheese outside at your table. There are a couple of sample plate you can choose from, there are 2 slices of the same cheese in each place at least that what we had and a couple of slices of bread you can eat with the cheese. We were 8 people in our group, we ordered 3 sample plate and each plate had 12 different cheese on them, 2 sample plate would have been just fine for us however we finished it all up but after that day I didn't want to eat cheese for a while. It was great experiences for all of us and we had great time sampling the cheese. enjoying the scenery. Would I do it again ? probably not but it was a good experiences

    Cheese tasting galore!

Wonderful cheeses in a chill intimate setting. Yum! Made reservations for the tour, which was so worth it! Learned so much about cheesemaking and got to sample 15 different delicious cheeses. Totally worth it! Tip: book the tour and come early for a delicious grilled cheese! SO YUM! Got a grilled cheese with the BOHO and truffled honey...mmmmm....

Cheese tasting board for 2 people, it easily allows for 4 people to try each variety.

Delicious artisan cheeses are available here, they usually have at least a dozen varieties. I've brought friends here for the cheese tasting experience, which is really fun. You get about 15 cheeses to try, with tasting notes. I really love the Trick Pony! Bring your own wine to do pairings! The shop also has other locally made gourmet goods like French baguettes, jam, crackers, etc.

What a lovely spot for a cheese tasting, Covid protocols and all! We arrived around 3p on Fri 11/6, and the friendly woman behind the counter greeted us and explained the options for tasting: purchase a tray to try them all, or sample three for free. With the relaxing outdoor seating area overlooking a pasture, we opted for the tasting platter. Within minutes she brought out a well-appointed tray of cheeses, perfectly labeled, along with a description key and a sheet for taking notes. She explained which cheese to begin with, and to work our way around the plate clockwise. We liked all but one of the cheeses, and several were absolutely delicious. The fresh bread was a perfect accompaniment. The only cheese we didn't enjoy was the final sample, The Bomb. Hoo boy is this one an acquired taste! It smelled like ripe gym socks, but we forged on despite the stink. Unfortunately the flavor didn't improve upon the smell, not for us at least. Our lovely hostess mentioned there was a reason they put it last, although she assured us that lots of people love it, including her! For us, tasting the Bomb gave us the biggest laugh of our three days in Sonoma County, but we wouldn't ever eat it again. We will, however, enjoy the yummy cheeses we purchased (Flower Power & Bo Peep), and would definitely recommend this shop to our cheese-loving friends.

I can't remember their names, they are both hard cheeses. The one on the right has a little peppercorn going on.

A group of us tried going there on Saturday, we just missed them. So I went back on Sunday. I have no idea what to expect and it was rather a stunning experience. The next time I go I get their cheese plate and bread and sit on their patio and stare at the beautiful scenery below. But you come here for the cheese. I closed my eyes when I was eating this and felt like I was in France. There are too many cheese makers around that make a rich hard cheese as good as this. And yes I know there are some legendary cheese makers in the San Francisco Bay area, this one does not have the presence of say cowgirl creamery or Marin French, but their cheese is superb. Definitely worth a Road trip!

The cheeses are delicious and the Sat. & Sunday tours at 1 pm is in just a few small rooms since this artisan creamery is small so you get a great tour explaining the entire cheese making process we got to walk into the aging rooms and enjoyed a full on generous tasting of all 14 cheeses on our tour with Matt a cheese maker and staff member . Matt who did a great job. The staff of 5 or 6 at the creamery all makes cheese and are hands on in other parts of the business too. We loved how uniquely made and named each cheese was! I have not had cheese this delicious since our France and Italy trips. There are new tables outside and you can get cheeses and sit outside and enjoy

fun experience with a outside table and a view of the field below. Two of us split a platte. it's a great snack that exposes you to several cheeses you wouldn't normally try. I typically don't like sheep milk cheeses but the few I tried here were enjoyable.

Got the cheese flight, pretty good with a good view. Nice cheese experience and to hangout outside.

This is such a cute little cheese shop that I visited with friends while on a cheese tour in the area! It wasn't crowded at all and its a very small shop, but there is a lot of outdoor space hang as well as a nice landscape view in the back! The staff was very kind and helpful as she explained the different types of cheeses they offered, and I am glad they were still offering samples. The cheeses I tasted were not to my liking, but it was a fun experience!

    Terry T.

This small creamery produces some excellent cheeses. They have a selection of cheese made from the milk of cows, sheep, goats and on occasion buffalo. I guess I don't know enough about cheese, I had visions of someone trying to milk a large--mean bison/buffalo, and thought it might be a ploy to encourage people to stop in. I was wrong; they use milk from water buffalo to make this exotic sounding cheese which they did not have when we stopped. They also have ice-cream made from the sheep and goat milk. We did the free tasting and ended up buying half of what we tasted. Unfortunately, I did not write down what we bought and it was gone almost as soon as we got home. S had the Carmel ice-cream/yogurt. I enjoyed the taste he gave me. The way to really enjoy this shop would be to take a tour and order the sample plate to enjoy all their cheeses. Take your plate outside and sit at one of the tables and enjoy looking out at the pasture.

You can skip the tour and just hung with the baby goats the whole time if you want! Also can come early or stay late depending on when if there's another tour that day. I've gotten to milk the goats a few times, feed the adults, be there for a goat birth (just happened while on the tour!), and have all the baby goat snuggles and silliness. Love the family farm, love the folks who run the baby goat tours/visits. Also a cute town to go into after for food, beverage, also wine tastings nearby. I recommend a second set of clothes to change into after in case you get dirty (goats are relatively clean, but they're goats so not like indoor pets. I let the baby goats climb all over me.)

It led us down a dirt path wide enough for only one car to pass and we came to a very old barn at the end with a super tiny building where the cheese was stored and a small counter where the goods were sold! A lady who speaks Spanish and only enough English to sell a chunk of cheese arrived on the scene to give us samples of 3, 9 and 14 month aged cheese. Each cheese was progressively more firm the longer it was aged. Wowww! I didn't even know what I had been missing out on until now. All these years, I have missed out on fresh cheese made straight from a milked cow on a farm! Who knew there was such a difference?? Our very favorite was the 3 month old cheese. So creamy, fresh, soft and perfect in every way. Best cheese I've ever had, even better cheese than we we've had in Wisconsin. I don't know if I can ever appreciate supermarket cheese again. Cheese was $10/lb. We initially bought half a pound, then we brought it to the museum and nearly finished the whole chunk before we were craving for more and decided to go back for another pound! It was that good! The detour added another 45 mins of traffic to our journey but we felt it was worth it. If you're ever in the area, stop by to grab a pound or more of cheese! The only problem we had was that we didn't know how to store it. We refrigerated it and I'm not sure if we were supposed to do that bc the cheese ended up getting pretty hard :(. But we couldn't ask how to store it properly and for how long because the lady didn't speak enough English.
