    Bad employee

They sold us expired food.they got mad because we asked for the bathroom and the outlet for a charger

    Wrong wrong sandwich

I got home with a to-go sandwich order and 2/3 of the order was wrong. I ordered a pepper turkey and pepper jack cheese sandwich on a Dutch crunch roll with all the trimmings. Plain turkey (what appears to be one slice), no cheese. $11.99 for a meager, wrong sandwich. I won't be back.

Ruben sandwich was a home run!

Shot in the dark hunting to try a new sandwich shop and this little market was busy at the deli counter with 4 ladies making sandwiches for the lunch rush. There was quite a wait (15 people in front of us) and more coming in after. Hubby got the pastrami I got a veggie (no olives), sub lettuce for sprouts, add turkey with smoked cheddar on rye. This sandwich was loaded with everything!! Veggies crisp, good quality meat ... next time I'll get on a roll. Hubby loved the Ruben - he highly recommends, but wants to try something else next time. Gentleman at register super friendly and pleasant. We did get the potato salad ($10lb) it's made in house but very bland. Would skip this.

    Cute deli!!

We found the perfect Deli! This Deli find is located at the crossing of Mirabel and Trenton roads in -Forestville -cleverly located in the heart of the Russian River wine country. We stopped in on our way to the coast! So impressed with the selections-Fresh Homemade soups, Potato and Macaroni salads, and various side delights. However, and most importantly -this deli has an impressive array of specialty sandwiches . We ordered both the famed Reuben pastrami and turkey sandwiches on sourdough bread and the orzo and cold slaw side salads. All absolutely delicious! Atmosphere bestows a welcoming relaxed country vibe. Note: Fabulous find for just about anything you need in a deli and grocery store.

Rode bikes with a group of friends on 6/23/24. 3 of them went inside to get sandwiches at the deli and it took them 45 minutes to make 3 sandwiches... now make that make sense.

The best Veggie Sandwich No Mayo on Rye in my life
    Miss T.

Veggies Sandwich on rye bread with no mayo. $10.49 Next time I'll loose the picked too. As you can see for the picture this sandwich could easily be split between two people for a lunch.

#13 Rueben sandwich (they forgot the Rueben :(

Grab a couple sandwiches before kayaking down the Russian River. They were yummy, fresh and gigantic. A fantastic local market.

We brought back a corked bottle of wine, and the owner, Sahaj, allowed us to exchange it, no questions asked.

Compared to other stores, Lucky is never crowded and I know shopping there will be quick and easy. The downside of Lucky in Sebastopol is that there's almost always some sketch people hanging around outside the store, either by the door or out in the parking lot. I've never had a problem, but I'm always extra aware when I'm outside the store. Not Lucky's fault, but as a woman it does effect my comfort level, especially after dark. While the experience shopping in the store is good, I don't recommend placing an order for delivery. They advertise free shipping over $35, but when you go to check out, they suddenly add a "service fee" of $20. Seriously, $20 per order?! That's ridiculous. They say it's for things like background checks and insurance - why am I paying for that?? I'd prefer they just advertise a delivery fee up front rather than try to sneak it in during checkout. I had my entire order picked out which took quite a while, only to erase it all when they added $20. What a waste of time. If you're like me and sometimes grocery delivery really helps when you're super busy, you're better off ordering from Safeway. I find their prices and coupons similar and their delivery fee is usually $5.99.

Since real estate mogul Barbara S. and I up here in Cloverdale to prepare a house for sale, let's do our food shopping. I love the quirky Grocery Outlet in Santa Rosa. This is my first visit to the Cloverdale store. It's neat and clean outside and inside. It feels a little less cluttered than the Santa Rosa store. Most certainly on this Monday afternoon there are hardly any other shoppers (Cloverdale is a small town). Food shopping during this life changing virus era is one of the few public pleasures left to us, so we are happy to indulge in some retail therapy. There are most of the same items as the Santa Rosa store, but after a few minutes I woefully discover that the rather off kilter left field items that are in Santa Rosa are not here. Like the $4 jar of Icelandic caviar or the British Kippers or the weird imported Italian pastas and many other goofy items. This store has much less wine selection than Santa Rosa; the beer selection is pretty sparse. (I end up selecting a 6 pack of Modelo). Barbara and me go slow and cruise each aisle looking for potential meal items that will spark the imagination and tease the palate. We get the main items we intended (Fruits / vegetables / meats - All look fresh and crisp) and much more. We do fill up the shopping cart. At check out the damage amounts to 7 big brimming bags, $200 of goodies. The same mass quantity at Oliver's or Whole Foods would have cost $430. Though this Grocery Outlet did not intrigue me like the Santa Rosa store, I love it still. Count your lucky stars Cloverdale residents. This store is a much more interesting supermarket than the Ray's IGA across the street.
