Great little restaurant in Necedah! I had the BLT sandwich one night, and Philly Mac & Cheese the other. I LOVE a good BLT and this was one of the best I've ever had. Seriously. Huge sandwich with a ton of bacon and all the right flavors. The Philly Mac & Cheese was also excellent! Philly, cheesy, and delicious! Their Wisconsin Old Fashioned is a fantastic cocktail, and the service could not be more friendly. Our party of four went around 4pm today. As soon as we walked in our waitress was right there and we were told to sit anywhere that would make us happy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Of course we sat near the windows overlooking the Yellow River.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered my ribeye with sides, and it was cooked to perfection. Had to take half of it home because it was pretty good sized. Two others in our party ordered burgers and sides and the last person also ordered a ribeye (also had take-home). The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone was satisfied. The one thing I really wanted to shout out about was our waitress, Mandy. The woman was amazing in keeping up with us while taking care of other customers. She knew what was needed without asking, which is what makes a great server. Her smiles also helped to create a great mood for everyone she interacted with. I was skeptic before going because of some of the reviews I read beforehand but then decided we were going anyway so I could make my own judgement. I finally made it to Bohicas Pub and Grub after hearing so many recommendations - including from my parents, who are regulars and never miss their Saturday special (which apparently sells out fast). After my visit, I completely understand the hype. I had the ribs - absolutely delicious. Tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My sister got their 1-inch steak, which was huge and seriously impressive. Not just big, but juicy and well-seasoned. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive even during a full-on dinner rush - checking in more often than most do when it's slow. That kind of care really stands out. The bartender? Honestly a bit dicky, not the friendliest, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. They were running a lemonade special that hit the spot - refreshing and well-balanced. A nice bonus. The good is delicious but the service is awful. I watched an elderly man get very mistreated by a regular who wouldn't stop talking about politics. Then he got in a physical fight with, what I assume, was another regular. The bartender was rude, condescending, and abrupt with the elderly man who was trying to avoid talking about politics. She slapped down his check when his food arrived, and implied that he should leave and not come back. For what, I'm not sure, but it seemed just like she blamed him because a regular started trouble. Finally made it to Bohica's. We sat at a table with a view of the river. They had a decent assortment of beers, we tried the Hillsboro hazy ipa. It was good and only $3 a pour. The chicken Parmesan soup was delicious. The broasted chicken was perfectly done. Philly cheesesteak was good although the bread was just so-so. Friendly and helpful server. Parking lot next to it. Very nice find in an area with not too many great restaurants. Excellent broasted chicken and beer battered fries. Had an awesome blueberry hefe on tap, which was admittedly strange but went sooo well with my chicken! Small menu but very supper club-ish with steak, broasted chix, salads, burgers and sandwiches. 4 item kid's menu. They do have outdoor seating with umbrellas, so a fun place to visit in the summer. The only confusing thing is that the sign outside says Alec's Place but everything inside is Bohicas. read more

What happened? We loved this place? Today went for fish fry. No greeting as we walked in. Kinda odd but hey we were hungry. Headed to the table. Same servers. Girl is great. Guy not so happy. Fish fry came out hard as a rock and very brown. Asked for a replacement. Told that's just how it is today......uhmmmm? You know we are paying for this overcooked fish right? Tonight we stopped at Bohicas to get some fish. We walked in and they were not that busy yet. Asked a male waiter if we could sit anywhere he said yes. We sat for quite a bit. My husband got up and finally went to the bar to order drinks. Bartender told him that waiter would bring drinks. We sat longer no menu and no drinks. Finally got up and got some menus ourselves. Finally about 20 minutes later the happy waiter comes over and asks if we needed drinks. My husband told him we ordered at bar and were waiting for them. He then just leaves and starts making drinks for another table. We sat for another 5 minutes with NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and decided to go eat elsewhere. I totally understand if this waiter felt like he was overwhelmed, but waitress 101 is to always at least acknowledge people.. If you are busy you let them know you will be with them shortly. Just POOR service and not sure I would go back. Felt totally ignored and that waiter really acted like he did not like his job and it truly showed he is in the wrong line of work. Also not sure why the bartender could not just give us drinks when we ordered them! Just a bad experience and very disappointing! read more

They call Denny "speedy" because he is all over the place in a very good way. We had the Broasted chicken and full slab of ribs with a couple excellent local IPAs. The chicken was hot, crunchy on the outside and succulent on the inside. Ribs were fall off the bone with a slathering of sweet sour sauce. Had to take a box for a late night snack. The bar was full and the service was great and attentive. Picking up a tear drop trailer from Camp Inn and this is a must stop in the charming area on mid-Wisconsin. read more

Terrible costumer service. Very rude bartender. Everyone in my group was over 21. We had one of us grab drinks. The bartender walked over to the table and asked for ID's. Which was fine. But then tried accusing us of smuggling drinks from the bar to the table. Never will go here again. I would not recommend. That's not how you treat customers. read more

But it's a a old kid's bar ever 3 word was a F bomb boy's and girl's, will not go there again with friend's or Family. Not for the faint of heart.
