Came for the Fresh Chips my friends raved about, but stayed for their Broasted Chicken. Ambiance had old school Wisconsin Bar vibes with lots of 80's Oak and plenty of TVs everywhere. Service was fast and friendly.

Broasted chicken and ribs dinner

Was in Wisconsin dells and this place was like 3 minutes from me. Food looked good online and seemed like a local favorite. Walked in for a late night dinner date. Sat at the bar, ordered some wings and the broasted chicken with ribs. They got my wings flavor wrong but I decided to just keep them cause I was hungry. Everything came out pretty quick and the food was really good. Never had broasted chicken before but it was delicious and the ribs were falling off the bone. Cool atmosphere and the bartender Stephanie was great. Also chatted it up with some friendly people at the bar. Great experience and wouldn't mind going back when in the area.

First of all, we started out here earlier today. We had a good bloody mary and an excellent old fashioned. Terra knows her stuff! The spicy jalapeño cheese curds were the best cheese curds that we have had yet. We then came back for supper. Too say the least we are stuffed. The service was great, and we got talked into some good desserts but oh my we should have stopped. He had the new york strip on special. It was flavorful and delicious. I had the boasted chicken which was pretty darn good. The prices are pretty very reasonable, and if you have room ... IF... then go for the cheesecake or brandy Alexander. I love the wooded, old school supperclub ambiance. It is just a neat place to go. The staff is great to hang out with and the scenery is what I go to the dells to see. Aquariums everywhere will keep the kids entertained. Well me too, lol! Stop in to check into a great spot to eat.

Good selection of beer, good vibe as well. Food wise the menu isn't that extensive but food is ok and prices are normal. Service was good and waitress checked on us several times to make sure everything was great. I ordered the broasted chicken meal with corn fries and a bread stick. The chicken was cooked well and juicy on the inside, seasons fries were delicious.

Blue gills & Perch

Interesting spot to stop with the up north motif. Huge aquarium, large tree in the bar, quite an assortment of taxidermy & WI Badger decor. The food was average/good we had the perch & blue gill. Mashed potatoes were tasty the american fries were not, asked for crispy but they were pale & limp. Emily was our waitress and she was very accommodating! We would have given 2 stars if it wasn't for her, we appreciated her wonderful service!

Can't say I really disliked anything.... Just didn't love anything either, except maybe the service (that was pretty darn good)! The River's Edge Pub looks like your average bar/restaurant from the outside, inside it's pretty nice! Very rustic with a feel of large cabin in the woods. It has a huge fish tank in one of the dining rooms which is unique. This seems to definitely be a "locals" place. For such a touristy area, it's nice to find the "non-tourist trap" places, so this fits that bill very well. Also is a little cheaper than most places in the Dells. I ordered the ribs, with a baked potato and corn. It came with really good breadstick. I also ordered a cup of Cheeseburger Soup. The ribs where a bit overdone which made them a little dry. I liked the flavor (they use Sweet Baby Ray's sauce). And there was plenty of meat on the bones. The cheeseburger soup was a let down. Way too cheesy. Tasted like hamburger chunks in a thick cheese sauce. I'd pass on this. (I was the "soup of the day" so others might be a good choice) Was very impressed with how quickly I was seated and served. Service was excellent.

This is one of our favorite local Dells places! If you're a tourist it's pretty close to the Wilderness but it has a very local vibe to it which is really fun. Our waitress was so nice and accommodating and overall it feels like a friendly and welcoming place. They have specials every night which was so nice to experience on a busy Friday night! We had the prime rib, Caesar salad, and a side of fries and everything was very good! They give a VERY generous pour for both wine and cocktails/mixed drinks and their bar is huge and a fun place to sit.

We all had the fish and broasted chicken buffet, very dry. Our waitress was very very nice, wish I would've gotten her name.

Good food, amazing atmosphere and the service was very good. Off the beating path a little bit so it might be less crowded than in town also

I have been here at least 8 times with a super senior who uses a cane and has a hearing impairment and several other times with the super senior and other friends or relatives. We usually come on a weekday in the afternoon or early evening when it is not very busy. The staff have always been kind and patient with taking our order and regularly checking on us. I like that the booth area on the main level is uncluttered and does not require steps to access. This makes getting to the booth easier for those with any mobility challenges and it makes it a bit quieter and easier to hear for those with hearing challenges. They have a decent size menu plus great daily specials. When we bring friends or family who can help us eat an appetizer, we always order the cheese curds which taste fresh, hot and not oily. If we don't find a Daily Special that suits us, we usually go for their Fish and Chips, Friday Fish Fry, or Mushroom Burger. They have a wide variety of sides to choose from but our typical go-to sides are the Loaded Mashed Potatoes or Chef's Vegetables. We have enjoyed everything we ordered there.

My server/bartender was attentive and very welcoming. A solid selection of taps, cans/bottles and your standard offering of booze. They do have a menu of different old fashioneds for those inclined. Their menu is your standard pub options-appetizers, pizza, wings, burgers, sandwiches, and fish on Fridays. I opted for one of their daily specials-steak sandwich. I opted for the upgrade for the side of fries that came with and selected the pickle chips. I am glad I did as they are some of the best I have tasted in quite sometime. Thinly sliced, they were perfectly fried with a thin batter that didn't hide the flavor of the pickle. The sandwich also hit the mark-tender steak nestled between a ciabatta bun. It was great. Highly recommend checking out Sauer's-a solid pub with some great food.

My spouse ordered the grilled cheese, which said on the menu it came with a choice of two cheeses. When he said which two cheeses he wanted, the waitress said that would be an extra charge. When he pointed to the menu, she said "she'd have to check". She never came back to tell us if he got two cheeses or not. We weren't given any utensils, so I had to get up and get my own from the hostess station. My burger had a very strong taste of livestock and barnyard. I also ordered an ice water which was almost undrinkable. At least invest in a faucet filter, guys. The homemade chips with garlic cream cheese were very good, though. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought our check, but then came and took it away from us because she forgot to add the beer my spouse ordered because their water had such a bad taste. Since she had already dropped the ball so many times, this could have been an opportunity to extend a gesture of good will and give it to him on the house, but alas. In addition, they have kind of a snotty little sign in the entrance demanding you wipe your feet as if you're a child, and they proudly display that they do not offer any service for their ample patio seating. Just not a great experience.

Soup flights for the win!…read more A last minute invitation resulted in us finding a restaurant we will definitely check out again in the future! A short drive from the Fox Valley, I was startled to see such a nice pub and grill. Looks great from the outside and even nicer in the inside. If I lived close by, I'm sure I'd be there frequently. Plenty of televisions, gaming machines and a well designed layout. I was seriously impressed. The night we went, they only offered soup flights. We were told by our friends, who had been there several times, that they offer only pizzas, soups and appetizers. Our friends had not tried the pizza but said the appetizers are great. There were literally a dozen soups to choose from for our flights. I picked sausage tortellini, clam chowder and stuffed pepper for my flight. It also comes with a piece of cheese/garlic bread. Not only were the soups nice and hot, they were all tasty. This sentiment was shared by my dining partners. The staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks were reasonable and well made. The ambience was excellent. Definitely a place we will return to!

There is a dartboard available and I noticed they had bottles of wine as well. There was just the one man who I believe is the owner working in front and he was busy taking and filling orders the whole time we were in. We ordered the meatballs app and a sausage pizza. While the crust is not made in house, the thin style we went with was super nice and flaky/crispy and the pizza sauce slightly sweet. All in all it was a good meal.
