Such a gorgeous boutique filled with beautiful clothes and accessories for women and children. Their selection of items are priced fairly for the quality and designs, and I'd love to come back to shop even more on my next trip to Maui!

I remember picking up a dress and debating "do I want to try this on..." and right away, one of the gals came over and asked if she could start me a fitting room. It didn't feel like a salesperson pouncing on a sale. It felt almost like a slumber party atmosphere! The original sales gal and 2 other workers were now involved and they made it so fun! Once I got in the fitting room, it felt like a fashion show. But instead of everyone telling me "everything looks great/cute" (toxic positivity), they were using their expert language and asking ME how I felt or what I thought. I really appreciated that! They grabbed me other sizes and showed me other versions of outfits (wide leg pants vs. oversized button down vs. shirt dress). I actually wore one of the shirt dresses out! As I was checking out, I noticed another part of the store. I completely walked right past it! And that was their jewelry side! I fell in love with 2 necklaces on that side! By this time, the owner had come out and it was a full blown party. I recently lost my mom - out of habit, I went to call her to ask which of the 2 necklaces she loved best. I had to use the gals at the store to be my stand-in-mom-energy, and I ended up treating myself to both! Now those pieces were expensive (both 14k!) but I wear them every single day. They remind me of my trip to Maui

I asked her about the jewelry and candles and received passive aggressive answers. I then asked about the sage and crystals and again she replied "Are you a crystal person" I replied "No, but it looks fascinating and I would love to learn", she replied aggressively and said "I need to do my own research". I went to the counter and checked out and the entire time it felt like she was being competitive or ego building herself. Asking where I was from(I live here) and generally being very rude and dismissive. I checked out and confronted her behavior. Apparently she thinks that asking questions about products is "her being used" which is nonsense. It's part of her job. I don't recommend coming in, completely unnecessary energy. If the owners have a camera I recommend them check her behavior. This is not appropriate and is is driving away business.

She says, "if you're going to be rude, there's the door." She continued on some sort of tirade about having previously been a teacher, but I was already out of earshot and couldn't tell what she was lamenting....my 10 year old walked out and remarked about the importance of customer service. That's a win, at least! --------- I walked back with my daughter who thought she left something in the store, and the same shopkeeper remarked that there are cameras everywhere. (Okay, but what does that have to do with anything?!)
