I absolutely loved working with Lois from beginning to end for our wedding at Olowalu Plantation…read moreHouse. I initially came across Lois through lots of online research and reviews. What stood out to me was her background and knowledge of flowers. After getting to know her and meeting her in person a year before my wedding, I knew I was in great hands. Lois is one of those vendors who always made time to chat and provides thoughtful suggestions on what she thinks might work well. When I had no idea what she was talking about flower wise (which was a lot of the time!), she patiently goes through each flower with me (had me go on a website to look each of them up) to make sure we're on the same page. When I let Lois know what kind of budget I was working with, she right away said of course she can work with that. From that point forward, she consciously tried to help me keep to the budget I was aiming for. Day of my wedding, I couldn't be happier with how all the flowers turned out for the bouquets, boutonnières, maile lea, table center pieces, circle arch design, aisle flowers, pedal toss, etc! When things with my initial planner turned sour, Lois was completely supportive and had no issues continuing to work with us and our new planner. Lois, we couldn't be more grateful :) Thanks for making our wedding a dream come true!

The moment she delivered and set up all the arrangements (with gorgeous vases and candles I might add), was when I felt the venue came to life. You will be in great hands with Lois!

Perfect for a quick stop when you first arrive in Maui or before heading out. *Hours: Mon-Thu 10:00am-2:00pm (they really won't let you in after 1pm) *Admission: $10 We arrived close to closing, so we only got to explore the outdoor area. Still, it was fun to see early sugarcane plantation machinery, including: * 1898 Nordberg steam engine * Cleveland J36 trencher * 1920s outdoor Portuguese oven * 11-foot Bull Gear sugarcane transport wagon * Vintage Caterpillar tractors * Caterpillar 660 sugarcane transport cab It reminded us of similar sugar museum exhibits in Taiwan (Wanhua Longshan Temple area and Hualien), giving a glimpse into local agricultural history. This is definitely a niche spot. If you're curious about sugar mills, it's worth checking the official website first to decide if it's worth the admission fee. I was intrigued by their sign that said lei workshops and it was down a little magical path off the main side walk. We walked in and met Sheryl who was so warm and welcoming and told me a little bit about their lei workshops. Unfortunately we would be leaving before their next event but as we were speaking I was overcome by this scent throughout the small store. I asked what it was and it was this heavenly Jasmine fragrance. I tried the spray and then the oil and she sent us on our way and told us to come back only if I couldn't stop thinking about it. Walking around town I felt like a cartoon character where the scent is glowing as they pass by. It was amazing. Long story short, I went back and bought the oil. I love it so much and have been wearing it everyday since we left. I can't wait to go back and visit to take one of their workshops and learn more about the culture and traditions of lei making.

I didn't buy a lei, but I was excited to find a Hawaiian sun visor hat. I wish I knew the Hawaiian name for it. All I know, is that it is beautiful, it shades my eyes, and is soft and comfy! I hope that when I return in a future visit, that they will have more in various colors and sizes. Mahalo Sheryl for your welcoming spirit!
