We've picked up to-go orders twice now in one week. The food is that good! I got the fried shrimp with seasoned fries the first time and with regular fries the second time. The seasoned fries were a bit too seasoned in my opinion. It was too salty for me. The regular fries I enjoyed better. The fried shrimp was perfect! It was made just how I like it - butterfly, corn meal and seasoned just right. My husband had their boiled shrimp and he really enjoyed it. The shrimp krab puffs were pretty good also. I was expecting small pieces but it comes shaped like cut up egg rolls with a wonton wrapper. They don't skimp on the shrimp or crab either. These were thick pieces. The hush puppies were a bit sweet but I didn't think they were anything too special. I probably won't get those again. Their chicken wings are tasty!! Good choice if you don't feel like eating seafood. The baos I never got to try because hubs hogged them himself. Must be good if he ordered it again the second time around. The firecracker shrimp looked good but I didn't get a chance to try those either. Hubs liked it though. They just barely opened up but with food this good, they will soon have a line out the doors. Excellent fried foods- we got the firecracker shrimp appetizer, hush puppies, tilapia basket (comes with 2 filets and we added an additional one for $3), & shrimp basket (we added an additional three for $2). Everything was fried to perfection. The seasoned fries just have salty seasoning on them so don't think they will be the usual redish hued seasoned kind. I love beets so I ordered the golden beet salad and it didn't not disappoint. We try not to eat fried foods too often but will definitely return to try some boiled items. read more

The atmosphere was really nice. The tables are spread apart for social distancing. We ordered and the lady told us it would be a 30 minutes to prepare so we waited inside at a table. 30mins went by and we didn't have any food so I went to check and it was sitting under the heating lamp which was odd because they didn't call our name or let us know anything. honestly, this restaurant never misses. i have tried multiple items on the menu and each one has been so good. i will say, in my recent trips here i have noticed slight changes in the taste of the catfish and the tartar sauce. could be a slightly different recipe but i have to say i miss the old tartar sauce and catfish recipe. still good but it's not the same somehow. everything else on the menu is great. super generous servings. oh and you HAVE to get a lil miss piggy bao. it is so freaking good. seriously. and the crawfish is -chefs kiss- also the lemonade is really good lol. i could keep going but i would sound like a broken record. everything here is good! read more

Tried this spot for the first time and did an order to go. Took about 15 mins to get the order. I tried the catfish po boy and was really impressed. The catfish was a good portion and didn't taste overly greasy. The bulgogi fries are also really good, the simplicity of them is so tasty! You get different options on the fries seasoning. I just tried the regular and was not disappointed. I also tried the pecking chicken and the crab daddy baos. The chicken one is okay, not bad but nothing special. I tried Boiling Dragon for the first time tonight and I was not impressed. Maybe it was what I ordered but I got a pound of boiled shrimp with the Thai Basil sauce/seasonint. It was super bland. People seem to like the fried seafood...maybe I'll try that next time. read more

I really do hate rating brand new restaurants lower than a four or five. But sometimes, I believe it is necessary because it allows them to improve. I am not above coming back to do a follow up. So overall I thought the ambience of this place was very nice. I cannot wait for it to have seats have dine in. Service was swift. Now on to the food. We tried some shrimp and crab legs, I believe about a pound each and went with our usual garlic butter sauce. Let's just say that the seafood tasted very bland and the sauce was a watery flavorless mess. Also, perhaps it's the season but the crab legs were tiny. I also tried the infamous pork belly bao. It was just okay. Unfortunately, they dropped the ball on the seafood and the bao. To make matters worse, Pearland now has some pretty bomb Cajun seafood restaurants that they will have to compete with. For example, Ems which unfortunately for this restaurant it's just about a mile away and Lotus which is pretty much across the street. If they don't step their sauce game up I'm pretty certain people will slowly redirect back to those restaurants. As for the baos, there are so many places in the Houston area that serve it nowadays but I suppose this place is still the closest one to me. I'll probably return in about 2 to 3 months with the hopes that things would have improved with the flavor of the sauce. Final grade: C+ read more

Tried Boiling Dragon as we saw it had recently opened and had good reviews. We LOVED it! I felt like I ate quality food that was put together well, cooked nicely, and had a lot of flavor. We got the 8 count wings (allowed 2 flavor options), 1 pound of snow crab legs in cajun seasoning, the shrimp bao, and shrimp puffs (appetizer). Everything was delicious! The 8 count wings/fries combo was very hearty and filling, the snow crab legs were steamed great and had extra butter and seasoning provided as well, the shrimp bao was tasty (they are tiny though so you would need to eat probably 3-4 to feel full), and the shrimp puffs were filled well and tasted fresh. We are already looking forward to going back soon and trying more items! read more

Always a hit!! Fresh seafood quality, more than generous portions and flavors that are put of this world!! Try the Miss Piggy for an appetizer! Yes they have pork belly bao! I know you were wondering Miss Piggy?? The boiled seafood has an amazing flavor profile super flavor nothing overpowering that's called cooking right not dumping a bunch of stuff in a pot and hoping for the best! The dish with the jalapenos is a fried crab special. I always mess the name up but it is on their special board and so delicious! The brussel sprouts are so amazing! Who knew eating veggies could be so fun and good!! The Miss Piggy is there and looking scrumptious!! Also not pictured is very tasty beet and yogurt salad which is perfect for breakfast or desert. All I can tell you is, I only eat their crawfish and the crawfish I make myself. Garlic Butter, Extra Spicy is my order and he gets the level of FLAVOR & SPICE right each time. I'm ashamed to say how many times I'm in there during crawfish season. The crawfish isn't the only banger try the fried catfish, noodles, & seafood rice. All winners in my book!! If you like the fries from wing stop you'll dig there's as they're crispier but with a similar sugar/salt seasoning that's delish!
