    Glass blowing class
    Jenn C.

We tried this as a date night thanks to an offer from Groupon. So glad we did. We started with a one-hour glass blowing class for 2. We got to pick out what we wanted to make from a nice selection of items and the colors for our project. Great options! Rachel was our "teacher" and she was great. She has her script down and really knows how to lead this. Very safe and conscientious about all of the steps and explaining everything along the way. It's a bit pricey so if it's your first time and you aren't sure definitely use the Groupon if it's available. If you're hooked after that, like we are, then the cost will not be so shocking. Especially after you see what all goes in to making these amazing pieces of art. Their gallery is filled with a beautiful array of items for purchase. Some of them very simple and others incredibly ornate. All great gift ideas! If you're looking for a unique experience and love supporting local and artist, check out Boise Art Glass!

After looking for a dining room chandelier for quite some time, our interior designer suggested we look into Boise Art Glass. What a perfect recommendation. Working with Filip was so much fun and the results are unique and magnificent!! We absolutely LOVE the results. Over the dining table, blown glass balls in interesting color combinations. Then, down the entrance hall ceiling, colorful blown glass flowers! See the photos below. Both works make me so happy! I can't recommend Boise Art Glass more highly!!

We made a glass and an oil bottle holder.

I came to visit my daughter in Idaho, looking for something to do together we decided let's take a glass blowing class...best decision ever! So fun our instructor Caleb was knowledgeable and patient. So many choices of what to make I wish I had time to take another class! Will definitely be back! Beautiful pieces of art in the showroom also! Thank you Boise Art glass and Caleb!

Amazing class with Josh!! It was the perfect amount of hands on experience with his assistance. It was our first time glass blowing and we can't wait to pick up our pieces! We'd definitely come back for another class

We received a gift certificate for Christmas for a glass blowing class. We went this evening and were privileged to be taught by Kevin. This was one of the most epic experiences that we've had pursuing an art form. Kevin was totally cool. He had a great sense of humor, was amazingly knowledgeable, had the patience of a saint and made the evening so enjoyable. I can't give a higher recommendation. And the articles were made were a beautiful memory to take home. Thanks Kevin for completely exceeding our expectations.

Repaired glass statue back to new!

We brought some Italian glass art that we had broken when attempting to put on a pedestal. They repaired the glass art like new for a great price, and we were delighted! We also bought some great glass art from the gallery as well. We've also had several friends attend glass art classes and they speak highly of the experience. We are huge fans of their establishment, they are friendly, and run a great business. Highly recommend.

This place is an awesome experience! I have never done glass blowing before. Went with my parents and girlfriend. We had the opportunity to work with Kevin. He was super cool, laid back, and just overall made it a fun experience without feeling like you were going to mess up on something. We are most definitely going back. I highly recommend to go and highly recommend to book with Kevin.

Final glass design and shape, an oil dispenser.

I was looking for a fun birthday experience and came across this place. They were very good at communicating when I called and answered all my questions. Austin was our instructor, and he was great! He answered all our questions and explained every step. The whole experience was incredible- from picking out our designs to picking colors to rolling the glass, etc. I loved that it was a private session with just the two of us. Our glass pieces were ready by the end of the next day. I would definitely go back again.

This is a cool shop. The glass in the gallery is cool and the chance to make something is also cool.

Located on 6th street, this shop is your one stop shop for all things Idaho, handmade and incredibly special. You can find blown glass, textiles, soaps, lotions, chocolate, peanuts, ornaments, shave oils, cutting boards, games, mugs, vases, ornaments and so much more. Most of my favorite makers were there (think Ladybug Press, Sawtooth Glass Project, City Peanut Shop, All Spun Up, Sage Woolens, etc.) It felt like a holiday craft bazaar that is open year round and housing the very best products. I found the selection to be varied and affordable. You could find things for men, women, children, pets and even yourself! It bears repeating that you are paying for handcrafted, small-business wares. It is not going to have the same price tag as a manufactured good from a big box store. It will be a higher price tag. I like to think that I'm paying for a story. My purchased items contain all the love, hope, and hard work that each maker poured into their product. I love to give handmade stuff for gifts and I think they are appreciated a lot more than something I could ship from Amazon. The shop keepers were lovely. I think they are some of the makers, but it was so very busy when I went in that I didn't want to bog them down with conversation. If you are looking for special presents, this is the place to go. Enjoy all the treasures.

I scored a good deal on Groupon, picked up a bottle of wine, and we headed to the studio on a Friday night. We got to use the airbrush and even spray paint on our master pieces this time. And, as always, Alex made the night fun, engaging, and creative, and we all ended up with a great painting of happy little trees to take home and brag about. Now, can I remember everything we did? Paint, scavenger hunt, paint, view a couple short videos of Alex's work (amazing), paint, roof view of Boise and foothills, paint, and adding a layer to the splatter paint room. Bring plenty of wine because it's going to be a long, fun evening.

The studio is awesome, but it was Alex & Mandy that made the night so much fun! The hours went by so fast, w/ drying times occupied by a scavenger hunt, adding our mark to the group paintings and a beer break. The evening ended w/ Alex's surprise piano solo! Though my husband had a bit of painting experience, my daughter & I hadn't ever done a painting. We were so surprised that we could end up with a real painting that we liked enough to display! We had so much fun and even my husband said he'd want to do it again! That is the ultimate endorsement!
