I joined the club a couple of years ago, and I have really enjoyed learning everything and going on digs at the club's claims. If you're looking to learn, becoming a member is a great choice. Join scheduled digs with club members, ask questions, and you'll find that people are eager to help you. As a member, you have the opportunity to take classes and learn lapidary techniques, which you can practice once a week. You can also purchase credits to get additional time in the lapidary room. When you visit the store, you'll be greeted by Jade, Craig's adorable dog, who loves to give kisses. The store offers a variety of rocks for sale, including some from other countries. A great rock shop! Craig, the owner is very knowledgeable, super helpful when we have had questions. A one stop shop for everything having to do with rock hounding from rocks to lapidary supplies. Haven't gone on any of the field trips, but love seeing photos of all families having fun. Craig is absolutely amazing! He's extremely educated on rocks, gems, and minerals, and he's always willing to help and teach. The whole crew there at the shop are wonderful people who are willing to help with just about anything! The pieces of jewelry are all handmade and absolutely gorgeous! Great find in Boise for all you rockhounds. Very knowledgeable and kind people! Shop looks small from the outside but it is bigger and they have a great collection. They have a huge assortment of slabs! I was like a kid in a candy store! I sat down and looked through slabs for a couple hours. They even gave me a spray bottle to use as I looked! Talk about a major temptation!! This store is rich with some of the most beautiful mineral specimens I've ever seen, including many local Idaho jaspers.
