Bf is in the hospital. He hadn't eaten all night almost to lunchtime so I went to bojangles to get a Cajun chicken sandwich for each of us. I went through the drive thru the first time and I asked for hot sauce and mayo. Guy asked me to pull forward. I did. It took another 10 minutes for someone to bring me the food. It was on biscuits instead of a roll. No sauces no napkins. So mad!! Day 2 he asked me to go back and get him just the Cajun chicken with some sides. Went inside this time so I could specifically ask for sauces. A fight started in the line over cold fries. Manager was yelling at workers. Workers were just standing around not filling orders. Lady in front of me was told they were out of rolls. Turned out they had not been removed from the freezer to thaw in days. Was just a shitshow. Will never go back. read more

Omg! Quick review . On my trip to the east coast I finally got to try bojangles lol ! It was a pit stop on the way and wanted a quick grab . They make Popeyes and KFC look bad like why don't we have a bojangles in California ! Baby when I tell you the Fries are seasoned you don't need no ketchup ! the buiscuits ! If I could give this a zero star rating I would. Our cashier, Jonathan, was absolutely terrible. In the middle of our order he walked away, when he returned he pulled out his cellphone while we were actively trying to oder to check his notifications. Then he stopped us midway through the order AGAIN to take another persons order. The facility was not clean, not one employee in the front wore gloves when handling our food, and not one person displayed appropriate customer service. The world seems to be wrapped up in eating Popeyes. Popeyes is cool every now and then but I think they do too much with all those here today gone tomorrow speciality items. They all over the place. Let me go the opposite way to Jobangles. I don't know if it named after Richmond's own Bill Robinson. It has to be. I do know they are N.C. based. I know they have Fries and Supremes (tenders) and that's what I ordered, along with a biscuit and BBQ Sauce. What I didn't know was that Bo Sauce existed. I only learned this when I asked for the real deal and they told me they were out of BBQ Sauce. At 2 p.m. Now I am sure they not rockin like this at Popeye's. Boojangles needs to provide. I declined a drink though I ordered a combo. It is bad enough I was eating Boojangles, I wasn't about to use/waste a cup on water nor drink anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Yeah, I bet it is in the BBQ Sauce I didn't get and the funny tasting Boo Sauce. Well other than that my meal was aight. Nothing special, not bad neither. I can't comment on the Legendary tea. Saturday morning around 8:30 am 1st indication this might not be a good experience was both entry doors were propped open by chairs. As soon as I enter there is a line clogged by at the order counter. Seems someone ordered 24 or so chicken tenders and it put the whole staff in some type of panic. Employee A was shouting at Employee B with several others shouting as well. Meanwhile the gal at the register was in a total fog. I finally got up to the counter and the order taker actually made me wait a least one minute while she stepped away to take empty pans off the line. (Shouldn't that be the duty of someone other than the cashier?) Had to repeat my simple order 3 times because she had difficulty putting it information into the register, followed by her inability to run my CC properly and had to manually type in the numbers. While waiting for my order I am hearing the manager on duty trying to fix incorrect orders while additional customers are coming back to the counter with more incorrect orders. With this is an incompetent employee that had great difficulty giving folks their beverages correctly. As for my food, it was done correctly and served hot. Went to get a refill on my iced tea only to find the self serve tea urn and ice dispenser were not filled. This means I had to go back to the window and request a beverage refill from the same employee that was still messing up drink orders. Management and employees need to be immediately retrained oe replaced. Us North Carolinians know how a Bojangles is supposed to operate, and this isn't the way. read more

Most Bojangles that I've gone to have really good food, but this location is THEE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE EVER!!! The average wait time is at least 10 to 15 minutes. The food in the display window looks like yesterday's food. I've gone to this location way more than I should have, at least 10 times because it is not too far from my parents house. The very last time I went, which was about a 3 wks ago, one of the workers could not control her temper and decided to throw an entire family box of chicken across the floor!!! Then walk out which left an already struggling staff shorthanded. I called the so-called customer service # and it seems to be the same heavy-breathing guy answering the phone claiming that he will relay the message 2 the branch manager, but for the 2nd time, I never received a call back, email, or anything! This location was disgusting! From the food, establishment, & staff. It really put a bad taste in my mouth for bojangles.

We split a home style tenders combo and a chicken supremes combo and the food here seems consistent with other Bojangles stores. I thought the home style tenders were great but the buttermilk biscuits always seem to steal the show! The mac and cheese was standard for fast food but not bad. Rated for taste alone, I'd give the store four stars. The let-down was with the overall customer experience. Two workers were trying to talk to us at the same time, which led to a lot of confusion and both sides repeated information multiple times (such as whether we were dining in or not). When all was said and done, the items on my receipt didn't match what we requested (parts of the order were incorrect, such as sauce types) but I didn't know until after I had paid because the price seemed correct. The order we received didn't match the items on the receipt (sides were wrong altogether) and the staff didn't seem interested in making sure the order was correct before passing our tray to us. We were frustrated enough to just take the order as-was so we could eat and get out ASAP. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and will not return to this location. I'm not sure if Bojangles had independent franchise owners but someone really needs to consider doing frequent secret shopper visits at this location. Management is horrible and continues to run good employees away. To hear the way these so called managers speak to these employees is a disgrace and embarrassing. You can be trained to be a manager but people skills are personality traits and they don't have people skills. I've always enjoyed Bojangles. The food is great and the sweet tea is amazing! BUT at the Petersburg VA location (off of Crater Road), my experience was less to be desired. There was confusion with the employees 'assisting' me with the meal (drive thru)- the initial worker left mid way from handing out my order (she only gave me my drink), and the next worker took over and attempted to charge me again. Mind you, I never received a receipt from the charge. She asked the coworker about it, then again to me. Finally, after waiting far too long for a salad, I finally get my food. Get to work and what do I find? Withered lettuce. And a hair. Yes, a hair. I don't recommend this particular location for your Bojangles Experience. Go somewhere else!! read more
