Stopped by for the lunch buffet on a weekday. Buffet ran about $15 and we found it to be worth…read moreevery penny. First trip to the buffet, I tried the fried chicken (skin was a little too salty for me, but the meat itself was juicy and delicious), the hushpuppies (so crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside: delicious!), mashed potatoes with hamburger steak and gravy (soooooooooo good!!!), cabbage (good), Mac n cheese (soooooo cheesy and delicious. I could feel my arteries clogging, but that's how you know it is good), chopped bbq (tasty, but I would have loved a different bbq sauce, theirs is a little too vinegar heavy for my personal preference), and a sausage (soooooo good! I could have eaten about 50 of them!). Also had some potato salad and Cole slaw on the side that were both straight out of my childhood in Georgia. My second trip to the buffet, I had to get more mashed potatoes and hamburger with gravy, Mac n cheese, and hush puppies because they were awesome. Added some chicken and dumplings (yum!), corn (sooooooo great mixed with the mashed potatoes), as well as the peach cobbler (I wish the peaches were chopped smaller so they weren't so hard to swallow), apple cobbler (pretty good), and banana pudding (amazing!!!) I wish I had room for a cup of their ice cream, it was all those little cups but they had a bunch of flavors like vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and COFFEE! I'll save some space next time. Everyone we interacted with was super nice and the decor looks like every barbecue restaurant I've ever been in with pig decor everywhere. I really like that They used more spices than just salt. This is one of the very few buffets I've ever been to that. It was not just overwhelmingly salty I also really liked their waiting room for when the restaurant gets too crowded and you have to get put on a list. There was so much seating that I would not have been annoyed standing around waiting for my table. We did not have to this time, because we were seated immediately, but it's good to know that you have options if you're ever here during a really crowded time of day. I will say that the temperature was a little too warm for my likings, so even though a lot of the clientele of a certain age shall we say were very comfortable, we ended up sweating and feeling a bit nauseated by the time it was time to go because it was just so hot. Definitely going sleeveless clothes next time I come here. I cannot wait to come back and demolish their buffet again. It was all so good.

Wow!!! A great small town buffet. This place is busy but we were able to get in without a wait. I…read morethroughly enjoyed my meal. I had fried chicken, sausage (which are some of THE best sausage everrrr) ham, bbq ribs that were smoked to perfection. I also had greens, hamburger steak, mash potato and gravy. Oh, and the ice tea the best it's served in mason jars - simply delicious.

We visited the Ruby Tuesday in Hopewell, VA tonight and unfortunately had a very disappointing…read moreexperience. I ordered the salmon and it arrived clearly undercooked. We let our server know, and he was extremely attentive and professional throughout the entire visit. After the first issue, we could hear the manager speaking to the kitchen and specifically instructing them to temp the salmon before sending it back out. Despite that, the replacement salmon came out raw as well. At that point, the server offered to replace the meal with chicken instead, which we accepted. My daughter had originally ordered plain grilled salmon and received it correctly the first time, though raw. However, when the replacement salmon was brought out, it came covered in hickory bourbon sauce and was also undercooked. Throughout all of this, our server was fantastic and did everything he could to fix the situation. What was frustrating was the lack of management involvement. We heard the server tell the manager after the second issue that we wanted to speak with her, but she never came to the table. The manager only came over after the check arrived and I specifically requested to speak with her. Her explanation was that the salmon is cooked from frozen, which is why it was undercooked even though they were temping it. That explanation didn't make sense and raised serious concerns about food safety and proper thermometer use in the kitchen. My biggest concern is that my daughter ate a few bites of the first salmon before realizing it was raw. I cut into the second one right when it arrived.

Since many Ruby Tuesdays have closed, there are only two locations left in the Richmond area…read more This is my first time at this particular location and they had minimal wait staff available thus the BarTender had to take care of the bar and tables surrounding. Thus a significant wait time occurred. When the BarTender did make his way to my table, he apologized profusely and said that because I did wait so patiently that I was welcome to the salad bar while I wait for my food to be ready. I ordered the Impossible burger with Fries (very happy they have this option)! The restaurant was not overwhelming packed with people and the atmosphere was light. Maybe if more people frequented here, it would be a shiny reflection of its glory days!
