    Large poutine

We got a serving of the large poutine fries, and the onion rings. We were snacking on complementary popcorn while we waited. The poutine fries were large unfortunately, they were a bit too salty. The onion rings were good!

My visit to this restaurant keeps instating my faith in the yelp reviews. This is a beautiful diner that has an ice cream parlor on its side. You may order just ice creams on the go and choose not to enter the restaurant. If you enter the restaurant make sure you check the instructions (see photo attached). But I'll suggest visitors to enter the restaurant, and check out the decors on the wall and tables. In each table you will find actual newspaper cutouts of important events that happened in a year. Now comes the food. We had ordered the special item- grilled chicken in ciabatta bread. We also had ordered chicken and steak poutines. The ciabatta bread was very soft and fresh. The remaining items were also fresh and in huge portions. We also had their soft serve ice creams. I particularly liked the baby serving size that costs $1.25 because I don't really have a sweet tooth and even the baby size was too much for me. Our total bill for three people was $50 PS: the men's washroom has an original Captain America poster from 1941 that you can see if you stand and face the toilet, and a poster of Marylin Monroe when you sit. I feel it should the posters should switch positions.

So adorable!!!! This place was recommended to us by the Farmer Boy museum, and it did not disappoint!!! It has an old-school feel, a self-serve popcorn machine, and an expansive menu. My family and I ordered some burgers and assorted sides (cheese curds, onion rings, French fries) along with sweet and tart lemonade. Service was friendly, our food arrived quickly enough where we didn't feel like we were waiting too long - but not so quick that everything was pre-cooked. It was definitely cooked to order and delicious!! Highly recommend it.

    The best!

Always great! Michigans, fries with curds, and shakes! Try a black and white or a root beer float!

The 60s dog and onion rings

First time here and can't wait to go back! Enjoyed lunch and ice cream. Staff was so helpful and friendly. They offered me popcorn while I waited for my food to come out, which wasn't long at all. I ordered the 60's dog which I made a red glazer and a side of onion rings; both super tasty! Then the staff let me sample the homemade ice cream, got the pecan pie ice cream, but in the apple pie sundae... Was not disappointed!!! Love the "Heinz ketchup only"sign. Can't wait to stop again.

Best soft ice-cream recipe in the North Country. Portions are generous, staff is friendly, atmosphere is cool (esp if you remember the 60's!

After checking numerous reviews and website menus, It appeared to me that Twisted Carrot was one of…read morethe most interesting restaurants in the area, in terms of menu and atmosphere. My dinner experience there certainly lived up to expectations. The restaurant is small, seating maybe about 30 people. I wouldn't call it intimate, but I would call it friendly. The menu items are enjoyably named, with some interesting ingredient and flavor combinations. Service is fast and friendly; 3 servers can take care of all the tables quite nicely, with time for fun conversation as you go. The cocktail list is small, and the drinks are simply garnished, but everything we tried was quite flavorful and reasonably priced. As an appetizer, the Moo Moo Dippers, filled with shaved ribeye and corned beef and combined with the remoulade sauce for dipping. were addicting. My salmon filet came atop a bed of roasted sweet potato and corn hash and a sauce on top to give it more interesting presentation and flavor. The pork medallions were similarly appealing. We passed on dessert, because most of the offerings had some form of caffeine in them (e.g., boozy affogato), but I'm certain they would have been equally delicious. I was surprised the restaurant closed so early on days they're actually open, i.e., 8pm. So if you want convenient dining, get there early for dinner, because it does fill up.

Still slinging the most enticing drinks in town. SHES THE WORST!!! and my beautiful friend had the Open sesame salad with the buttermilk chicken (she says perfectly dressed) - to die for - I tell you truth. Meanwhile I had the off menu special The Ribeye steak (with scallops on top. Off menu surf and turf special. Perfect steak (rare) And perfect scallops. I might disagree But my friend is in love. Probably with the chef - oh well.
