This Bolay has been halfway decent since they've opened. There's been a few shortcomings. At one point my wife got a blond hair in her food... took a while for us to come back after that. I would say about 20% of the time the order is wrong or items within the order is wrong. Overall the food is still great quality. And it's healthy man, you can't knock the hustle there. I do know a lot of us at the gym stopped coming here when they dumped basmati rice, it's the only white rice that is low glycemic meaning it won't shovel fat into your blood stream and will actually hang out to be burned off for a while. I have to give credit where it's due. Since my first visit, I avoided them for the longest time since they gave me a small bowl but I ordered a large. This was an online order. I kept running into people raving about them so I caved and gave them another chance but stood in line and ordered in person. They definitely deserve five stars. Their food is so fresh and flavorful. They have extremely generous portions. I don't feel guilty eating here. The place itself looks great and the service is good. I usually get a large bowl. For the two bases my favorite options are the potato noodles (which they are currently out of until next month, bummer) and their kale salad but sometimes I'll get the cilantro noodles. For the two veggies I like the mixed zucchini and the broccoli. For the proteins I get the shrimp and lemon chicken. The tofu is good too. I get both the cilantro and spicy sauce. This meal is a 5/5! They also have one of the best chocolate chip cookies. This is one of my favorite spots in Coral Springs. They're so consistent and it's nice to have a delicious healthy option. You order at the counter, tell them what to put in your bowl, pay and carry your food to your table or take it to go. Bolay is a build your own bowl concept restaurant. You build a superfood bowl by layering a base, vegetables, protein, topping and sauce. A small bowl is around $10. First choose a base from items including gluten-free cilantro noodles, jasmine rice, Asian sweet potato noodles, and marinated kale. Vegetables selections feature ginger broccoli, roasted brussels sprouts, balsamic mushrooms, while proteins include chicken, pork, seafood and steak. Don't forget to sprinkle on some freshly chopped cilantro or parmesan cheese. Finally sauce it up with spicy Thai, creamy garlic & herb, cilantro pesto, and sriracha sauce. No matter how you make it, you are guaranteed a healthy and delicious meal. They also have tea, fresh pressed juice, cookies, and strawberry chia seed pudding. For my meal I ordered the small bowl with one base, two vegetables, one protein, one topping, and one sauce. I ordered the regular bowl and before ordering any chicken I asked was it white meat. Several of the employees said yes. So I ordered the sweet potatoes noodles and broccoli with the teriyaki chicken. When I got back home I knew I was about to eat good. But unfortunately when I bit into my chicken I instantly wanted to puke. I just do not like thighs and legs. The texture is just not for me. I scraped off all the chicken and tried to salvage what I had left... I did call and they really do all believe it's white meat.. but the manager did check and it's indeed thigh meat... she did apologize and refund us for the mishap and I can really appreciate that.
