This restaurant is great. You walk into an open area with a bar and high-top booths, which is unique. Then you walk through the bar area to a more formal dining area with booths and tables, They also have outdoor covered patio seating with a great view of the fountains and golf course. The food is really good. I had a burger and my spouse had a salad. We also shared some apps. Their food is elevated American. I was looking forward to their carrots, but those are no longer on the menu. Server was sweet and on top of everything even though it was busy busy busy. The Hispanic/Latin Alumni Network (HLAN) at FSU recently hosted an event on the outdoor patio at Dear Olivia Bar & Kitchen, and I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. The space was exactly what we were looking for. It was private, beautiful, and perfect for networking and conversation. From the very beginning, Nicole, the Group Sales Director, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was kind, responsive, and patient with the many questions we had while planning our event. She made the entire booking process seamless and stress-free. We preordered shareables for our guests, and everything came out perfectly. What really stood out was the staff's attention to detail. They even asked if we'd like to keep some of the food under the warming lamps until more guests arrived before bringing it out. That level of thoughtfulness truly went above and beyond. Our server, Phillip, was fantastic as well. He managed all of our guests' individual orders on his own while remaining friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the event. We arrived early to decorate, and the team couldn't have been more accommodating. They provided us with a speaker so we could play music and even came to the rescue by lending us markers and tape after we realized we had forgotten ours. Those small gestures made a big difference. And now, the food... Absolutely incredible! The vodka margherita flatbread was, without a doubt, one of the best flatbreads I've ever had. It was SO good. The spinach dip was equally delicious, and every dish we ordered received compliments from our guests. The cocktails were just as impressive and perfectly complemented the meal. Everything exceeded our expectations, and our event couldn't have gone more smoothly. I'm already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu because if what we had is any indication, it's going to be another fantastic experience. I came here for mother's day lunch and unfortunately I was disappointed. The first thing that stood out was how much seating was available for Mother's day. Usually a restaurant like this would be packed. Once we got to our table there were flys everywhere. I think we saw about 5 of them on the table or against the window. The staff was actually nice and they did move us to another seat that had less flys, but I still saw one or two after eating. The food itself was ok. I got the fried chicken spicy sandwich and the chicken was not crispy and the fries were a little soggy. My wife got the terriaki tocos which were decent but the side salad was a little underwheling being that is was just pure lettuce. While the staff was very friendly, I can't recommend this place. The price was a little more than I would expect for the caliber of food and the flys are a big turn off. We went to Dear Olivia to celebrate my birthday. I'm giving them 4 stars but I really wish I had the ability to give 3.5. To start the interior is really pretty. It feels like an up scale sports bar. We were seated quickly and our server approached the table right away. Her name was Jersey and she is the reason I'm giving 4 stars. She was great. Super friendly, quick and answered all our questions. The 3.5 stars would be for the food. We started with the biscuit warm-up. You get six mini biscuits with pimento cheese and butter. There was supposed to be a honey drizzle but it was missing. The biscuits were good and the pimento cheese was excellent. It is whipped so the texture is a lot creamier than usual. I ordered the grilled salmon Santorini bowl and my date ordered the Korean steak bites with a side of mashed potatoes. The salmon was grilled well but it was flavorless. It didn't taste seasoned at all. The quinoa salad, pita and tzatziki were all pretty good though. The mashed potatoes were great and, unfortunately, better than the steak bites. The steak had a decent flavor but was chewy. Tuesday was taco night so they had a nice $5 taco menu and $5 margaritas. I ordered a strawberry one and it was actually really good. An update to my first review here. When we arrived, I was a bnit nervous, as there was a DJ and music playing at the front of the restaurant, near the bar. We wanted to be able to have a conversation with our friends, and frared it would be too noisy. So, we asked for a table where it would be quieter. What a cute spot in Parkland! Dear Olivia has a large and versatile menu, along with cocktails and wine options. There is plenty of parking in a charming plaza, and the restaurant sits right on the lake with beautiful fountain and water views. The restaurant itself is very nice, with great lighting, cute tables that each include their own personal TV, a stylish bar area, and plenty of seating both indoors and outside. Our server was great. I believe his name was Felipe or Philip. The food was also very good. Chips and Guac: Thin, crispy chips that were not overly salted. The guacamole was fantastic, with fresh pico mixed in and a true guacamole taste, not just mashed avocado. Pomegranate Chicken: My friend ordered this and loved it. It was served over couscous with a dipping sauce on the side. All of the flavors worked really well together. Steak Tips: Cooked perfectly and served with a salad. My other friend really enjoyed this dish. The meat was tender and flavorful. Kids Meal: Not pictured, but the chicken tenders came with fries. The chicken was grilled, which I thought was a great option. The fries were a hit with both the toddler and mom, who happily snacked on them too. I had a glass of Pessimist wine after asking for a recommendation for something slightly sweeter. It was the bartender's suggestion. It was just okay for me. First time trying this restaurant and overall the food was pretty good. Not incredible but good enough. We got a few different dishes to-go. I had the Superfood Crunch salad with grilled chicken, a few pieces of the Margarita vodka flatbread and some chicken tenders with fries. My husband got the shrimp tacos and he was not a fan. The tenders were delicious and also gluten free. The fries were seasoned well, and the dipping sauces were pretty solid. The flatbread was flavorful with a crispy crust. The whole thing might have been more crispy if we didn't get it to go, but it was still really good. The vodka sauce was tasty and the pesto was a nice contrast. The salad honestly wasn't that great. The grilled chicken seemed more like precooked salad chicken you can buy at the store. The picture and description of the salad made it seem like it would have been better, but it wasn't so great. The carrots were limp and didn't have a good flavor, and the cauliflower wasn't seasoned. The blueberries were tasty though. Could have used more quinoa and goat cheese. We came here previously with some friends and liked it so much that we now visit more often by ourselves. The place itself its in a great location and has a great outdoor area next to some fountains. Service is friendly and great and willing to help with any questions. We always get the brussels sprouts, which are phenomenal. The burrata is amazing choice too if you like that cheese but if I had to choose one, it has to be the brussels sprouts. Their fish and chips is nicely fried and doesn't fall apart like other places. I've had dear Olivia bookmarked for quite some time. I frequently go out to eat with a vegetarian and I saw that they had quite a bit of options on the menu. It's in such a beautiful location, ample parking, I couldn't have been happier. Both indoor and outdoor seating as well! We ended up ordering the fresh baked biscuits, the mushroom truffle flatbread, the "DO" quesadilla, the blackened chicken club and carrot cake. I hate that I cannot remember the name of our server, but he was incredibly kind and attentive. One thing about me, is I don't eat biscuits often, they are typically too dry for my liking, but not these! They were rich, buttery, and come with the best of both worlds which is pimento cheese (savory) and honey butter (sweet), so you dont have to choose! They are incredibly hard to put down, but try not to fill up too much! The mushroom flatbread was incredible. Crispy, cheesy, truffley and loaded with mushrooms. You do have to eat this one quicker, because the cheese does congeal if left too long. The truffle honey they add to it, cuts all of those savory flavors and adds such a beautiful balance. The "DO" quesadilla, while technically an app, is plenty for one person! Comes with a lot of dipping options as well to avoid any flavor fatigue. However, the star of the show was hands down the blackened chicken club. I always get a little nervous ordering bacon on any sandwich, because I'm always scared to get that soggy, fatty bit. But that did not happen here! The bacon is peppered, thick cut and crispy. It balanced out the char on the chicken so incredibly well. Whatever come back sauce that comes on the sandwich adds a little zing to the entire meal. I would have definitely chosen a different bread option, like a beautifully buttered brioche or ciabatta, but it still got the job done. Also the fries that came with it were seasoned, I dont know with what, but it was delicious and not your average run-of-the-mill french fry. We ended up getting some carrot cake to go, and by the time we got home, it was still warm. It was rich and very creamy, and a candied pecans added a nice crunch, however, it was a pretty small piece for the hefty price point. Overall, with two soft drinks, our meal was over $80. The hype is right. The food here is bar/pub/American food delicious. I don't live super close to this restaurant and I am genuinely bummed that it is not right around the corner from my neck of the woods. First impressions mean something, and the walk from our parking spot was noticeably enjoyable, being that the restaurant abuts a lovely water feature that the shopping center lights up at night. It is a little detail that puts you in a good mood. Take a picture in front of it. Ours came out great. Our table of 4 started with their reuben egg rolls. There were 2 to an order cut into 4 pieces. Very shareable and enough for a bit of an appetizer portion without ruining your appetite for what will come next. The well-balanced and seasoned Thousand Island dressing bumped up the rich flavor of the corned beef. Following the appetizer, our table had a smash burger, a regular hamburger (no cheese), fish and chips and a buffalo chicken sandwich (which I did not taste but it looked so crispy and inviting and from what my friend said, it was indeed outstanding with just the right amount of breading and heat). Everyone except one person had the fries. They came out piping hot. These days, I find that's a nice touch. So often you are served laying around fries. Thumbs up for Olivia's fries! For me, I opted instead for the petite salad. As a person who once owned a salad dressing company, I say, Yay! to the super-garlicky but judiciously dressed simple salad of just greens. This little bitty salad was a stand out and may just be the reason for me to return. It was that special. For my main, I ordered a medium-rare burger that came out, MEDIUM RARE. Another Yay! for Dear Olivia. The meat used in this burger was as fresh as could be. Was it freshly ground? Very possible. You can tell that the chef and/or the owner worked on the perfect burger to deliver to their customers. It showed. The flavor of their charbroil gave the burger just the right amount of crust to the patty. I loved it and couldn't help but say so with every bite. It was hard to concentrate on anything else but how much I loved this hamburger. I make burgers at home pretty much every Sunday. Dare I say theirs was better? I think it was. For me, it was perhaps the best burger I've eaten in years. A bite of my friend's fish and chips was met with "I'm coming back and ordering that" the next time. Breaded, perfectly cooked, flakey cod came with tangy, homemade tartar sauce. I'm a sucker for tartar sauce. Again, touchdown. A drizzle of added hot sauce because that's how we like it. Perfection. A big shout out to our server, America, who was efficient, professional and above board helpful. She went the extra mile to suggest that I taste a sip of my simple order of house Rose, just to make sure I liked it. Normally, you order a glass of wine and they just bring it to your table. She went above and beyond. I will ask for her next time around to be our server, but I can tell that management staffed well. I witnessed staff cleaning tables. They didn't stop with just the table tops. Booths and chairs were given the once over with disposable (non-smelly) rags. Thank you, Olivia. You take pride in cleanliness too. I came here for the first time this past weekend to hang out with my sisters and brothers. They are located in Parkland Florida so it's easy to get to from the south and north in South Florida. I was coming from Miramar and it was only a 30 minute drive. Cool sports bar vibe with a nice bar area and more of a restaurant area towards the back. We sat in a booth in the bar area. We had a very good lunch here with friends. The restaurant hasn't been open that long, but it's already quite popular. And it was busy on a Tuesday at 1 pm. The only downside was our server. In the beginning she was a bit lackluster -- as in no personality and a monotone. But she got a bit better later on in the meal. I ordered the Brussel sprouts appetizer to share with my husband. It was quite good. Sweet with dried cranberries. I wound up having the rest as a side to my main plate. For my main, I had another app -- their steak tips. The steak was great. Very tender. Tried out the new restaurant in town and left with mixed feelings. The concept is a little confusing, it's styled like a sports bar with TVs & TVs at booths but also trying to lean a bit fancy, which doesn't quite come together yet. The décor up front is cute, but the further back you go, it feels unfinished. Service wasn't great. We ordered a bottle of white wine and our server just set it on the table after the first pour, no ice bucket until we asked, and when we did, she seemed visibly annoyed. Definitely put a damper on the experience. On the food side, the brie and brussels sprouts were delicious, but the tenderloin was underwhelming. Drinks at the bar were solid, and the bar area itself is big and lively. Overall, it feels like they need more time to figure out their identity and smooth out the service. My friend and I had a lunch date here on Friday at 1:15, and it was my very first time visiting. I had just learned about this spot, but judging by how busy it was in the middle of a workday, it seems like we were the last to know! Even with the crowd, service was quick and attentive. For appetizers, we went with the guacamole and the wings. They came out fast. The wings had great flavor, though a little lukewarm (I'm sure they would've happily heated them up if we asked). The guac ans chips were decent. Now let me tell you what stole the show. The smash burger! SOOOOO GOOD! I took one bite and instantly said, "Mmmm." My friend looked at me and laughed, "Oh, I can tell you like it." Clearly! The bread was super soft, and the burger just melted in my mouth. The fries were hot, fresh, and perfectly crisp. No complaints there. While chatting with Rachel, we learned they've only been open for three weeks, which blew our minds because everything felt so polished. She mentioned the owner was in the restaurant, and before we knew it, Paul himself came over, pulled up a chair, and started chatting with us. He was so warm and genuine. I couldn't stop raving about that burger, and he shared that the restaurant is named after his 9-year-old daughter, Olivia. How sweet is that? We gave him our blessings on the new spot and even took a photo with him before leaving. Of course, I had to finish with dessert. Rachel recommended the butter cake, and she was spot on. IT WAS BOMB!. The crunchy top layer was my favorite part. My only suggestion would be to serve it with ice cream. I actually took half home, added a scoop of ice cream later, and let me tell you... it made my night. Overall, this place is a gem. This was my 3rd visit here. The food is good. The Happy Hour really is not much Happy. Drinks are priced accordingly so say $9 for a high end vodka but then add $4 more for a martini. Not much of a deal. We had a mushroom flatbread this time around at HH and it was $8. Normal price is $17 for twice the size so again no real deal. I've had the burger on Monday's which is a good deal at half the price but to add fries it's$4 more but normally included in the regular Burger price. Maybe I'm being petty. Today we had the Mezze Duo.. The Tzatiki is very garlicky (I loved it!) and the hummus is good with warm pita and cucumbers on the side. The vodka flatbread was very tasty. We also ordered the brie. I'm not a fan of brie but it could have used more fig jam on it. The tortilla soup is good but it came out lukewarm. We didn't say anything until the end because we were too full to eat it and got it to go so no sense complaining. My friend ordered the shrimp tacos and he enjoyed them. Half off bottles of wine under $100 on Wednesdays is a good deal but the bottles that were slightly over $100 were the ones we really wanted. But those are only 25 off. My biggest peeve here is the service. Two out of 3 visits we had servers who were lackluster and it seemed like it was a chore for them to serve us. Even when we tried to joke with them it seemed we were annoying. Bar service, however, was very good (Sara).. I don't think I'll be back here. This place makes my local heart happy! I think I've had this place bookmarked for years even before they opened and I am happy to report that it did not disappoint. A rare commodity in this area to find something that isn't chain and something that offers a relaxing setting. We went on a Friday and I made sure to make reservations because I wanted to sit outside by the lake. It was beautiful out there. We fed the turtles with my daughter and enjoyed the time outside before it starts to get too hot here. I was celebrating a new job so I got a drink and the Brussels sprouts to start, delicious! Visited this restaurant for the first time this past Friday with another couple, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The menu felt a bit unusual and didn't offer much that appealed to us, but we ordered a few appetizers to start. The pita with hummus and tzatziki and the brie were both just okay--nothing memorable. The biggest issue was the service. Our server made several mistakes throughout the night: he accidentally poured water into someone's drink, brought the wrong martini (I ordered a dirty martini but received a regular one), and our chicken quesadillas arrived without chicken. We had to wait additional time for corrections, which slowed everything down significantly. On top of that, we were later charged twice for the quesadillas. Service was also very slow--we waited quite a while just for a glass of wine. Despite not ordering any entrées, the bill came to over $300 for the table, which felt excessive for what we received. We also sat outside, where large crows were constantly circling and attempting to grab food, which made the experience uncomfortable. The restaurant was very busy, so it's clearly popular, but it seems like the staff may be overwhelmed. Better staffing or training could make a big difference. Unfortunately, we didn't notice the billing error until after we left, so be sure to double-check your bill carefully. Overall, I would not return. read more

The restaurant is cute and has a decent outdoor patio. My mom and I got there at about 1pm today (Saturday during an FSU game). It was very very loud inside with the tv volume very high. I am not basing my rating off of this but more as a heads up. Also, our server very kindly changed us to a table outside where we could still see the game but where it was quiet. I got the vodka Margherita flatbread, which was one of the specials, and my mom got the fish and chips. It took over 20 minutes to arrive but they both came out hot. The flatbread was disappointing - the dough felt undercooked in spots and the sauce was spooned in globs, like a pesto. The basil was also sparse. I don't love big globs of sauce, though I get that some Margherita pizzas are more saucy. What I liked was that it was cheesy and the edges had a nice crunch. But, I definitely would not order again. Outside of a bit of unique flavor to the sauce, it kind of reminded me of frozen pizza. My mom loved her fish. I tried and it was very lightly battered, flaky, and fresh tasting. It came with 2 large pieces. The tartar sauce was also great. The French fries seemed like frozen fries, though. They didn't look appetizing at all so I passed when my mom offered them. She agreed they weren't good and barely touched them. But she didn't care because the fish was so good. read more

A terrific place with a fountain view and outdoor seating. It's flavors are amazing. I can't even explain . One of their appetizers was this delicious colorful carrots over garlic sauce. Some nuts on top. Absolutely insanely delicious. The staff was very friendly. It wasn't horribly expensive, but it was a good time out. Parking is a little bit of a pain especially when they're which there was the day we went. The truck takes up the entire spot in front of their store. But that's fine. It was all worth it! My daughter Olivia wanted to try this restaurant because they share the same name, and we finally stopped by for a late dinner since it was close by. The food, presentation, and atmosphere were all fantastic, but the service was truly above and beyond. ​Our server, Nicole, was by far the friendliest we've encountered in a long time. When we mentioned why we chose the place, she said she'd look for a little something for my daughter's scrapbook. She surprised us by returning with a hat and coasters, putting the absolute brightest smile on my daughter's face. Went there last night party of five. They sat us at our reservation time which was nice. The bar area is upbeat, loud in a good way, people having fun but extremely crowded. The main dining area is nice but looks more like a cafeteria setting. Food was good but it's Parkland so you're gonna pay! Three appetizers to include carrots, egg rolls and quesadillas were good but small. I had a 22$ smash burger, and two others had chicken sandwiches and one had a salad. It's a nice place and the staff was exceptional. I think I'll try the Happy Hour next time read more

That's because everything from checking into our reservation, to ordering a drink, two delicious appetizers, to the service, I cannot say anything more amazing about this place! I don't know how Eddie Pozzuoli and Paul Greenberg pulled this off, but they did -- in SoFlo of all places. A smoked brisket po' boy that actually channels New Orleans. Now, let's be clear: in Louisiana this would normally be beef debris -- that shredded, gravy-soaked roast beef mess that drips down your arms. Smoked brisket is a curveball. But this one? Juicy, tender, not oversmoked, and with an au jus dip on the side. I'll allow it. The magic trick here is the bread. Anyone who's eaten po' boys knows it lives or dies on the loaf -- and they went through a bunch before landing on this Cuban bread that's shockingly close to Liedenheimer or Gendusa. Light, airy, crisp crust, doesn't fall apart under pressure. That's the tell. They dress it right -- lettuce, tomato, mayo -- but with a South Florida twist: hot cherry peppers that cut through the fat. Fries are solid. The whole package is a win. And now that they've proven the bread works, I've got one demand: fried shrimp or oysters on this loaf next. That's the real test. Until then, this brisket version is already a stunner. read more

Dear Olivia, You've got a long way to go to get my five friends and I to return. Arriving promptly at 7:30 on a Saturday night, we were greeted by obnoxiously loud music, and seated promptly in a six person booth. Though it touts itself as ADA accessible, it was all but impossible to pass through some of the overcrowded seating. The ambience of the former restaurant was completely lacking, and we were surrounded by screens and a fairly sterile atmosphere. A brief escape to the bathroom proved to be even more obnoxiously loud. There is no respite from the overbearing music. Our server, Serena, was very pleasant and communicative for the first two hours of our visit. She was spot on and the runners and expediters were doing a great job. After two hours of literally having to yell at each other, the six of us were ready to move on, but Serena had veritably disappeared. One of our guests had to go and find her to retrieve our checks. Understanding that I have neglected to mention the food, let's just say that no one was overly impressed. The brussels sprouts were very nice, the salmon was average, the guacamole was OK, but the chips were stale. The drinks were VERY overpriced. In the future, we look forward to big changes, whether that is in management or ownership. read more

Today, was my first time coming to Dear Olivia's. I love the location so I knew this would be a great place to have a lunch date with my friend who I hadn't seen in 22 years in the Army. I ordered the lump crab cakes as an appetizer but they weren't actually lump crab cakes as described on the special menu they were full of fillers. They were cute heart shapes though. Anyways, I got past that because I was excited to try the Shrimp & Grits. If a restaurant has Shrimp & Grits on the menu there's a high probability that I'm ordering it and it was also highly recommended by our waitress. The dish came and it was plated beautifully! But when I tasted it it was super salty!! I like highly seasoned food. It wasn't the seasoning the flavor was great but it tastes like the top fell off the salt and they accidentally spilled too much in! I literally wouldn't have been able to eat it without chugging water from all the salt. I didn't say anything to the waitress I just asked her to pack it up for me. I knew I could just take it home and fix it which I did. I made a plain pot of grits at home with no seasoning and that saved the meal! I still plan to return. I just hope that I have better luck with my next meal. The bartender was super sweet as well as my waitress! Customer service overall was top tier! read more
