First time trying Bubbakoo's Burritos as giving it a shot. Very favorable experience as once we walked in, we were nicely greeted. Took sometime to explore the menu and saw some creative burrito combinations. My son tried the Aloha Pineapple Pork which is like a traditional Al Pastor flavors. I went with a build your own beef burrito. The there's a variety of add on toppings to choose from. Everything looked fresh and the burrito was nicely prepared and packed full of ingredients. The flavors overall weren't too impressive but it works. The chips were basic but a bit stale for my taste. The chicken empanadas was a limited of time. It was packed full of meat/filling but a little bland flavor-wise and the sauce is nothing spectacular. Loved the decor as you walked in with plenty of seating inside and outside to enjoy. Over my experience was positive but maybe I'm spoiled with Chipotle and prefer their flavor profiles instead. read more

I'm not a huge burrito person, but I love tacos, so I went with soft shell tacos with grilled chicken. I ordered online, and my food was ready right when I arrived The presentation was actually really nice--each taco placed perfectly in the box with a generous portion of chips in the middle. Casual quick serve restaurant that has fresh food from a local family. I've been eating at Bubbakoo since they opened several years ago. The food is always fresh. They make their tortilla chips in house daily and the same with their taco salad bowls. They have a great variety of options on their menu. From Tacos to Burritos to Bowls and seasonal items. A lot to choose from. If you haven't been there yet, I recommend you try it on a Taco Tuesday. Their non premium (steak and shrimp excluded) tacos are only $2.50 each and include chips. Two soft tacos is a full meal and even leftovers usually. They recently added breakfast burritos to their offerings - eggs, hash browns and Philly cheese steak (bacon or sausage available too) as the base. I added mango habanero sauce, pico and cheese! Delicious choice! There are plenty of vegetarian options for those who don't eat meat or fish. I've read some complaints about the service in the past, and there are times I've experienced less than five star service. I ordered 4 chicken bowls for my family to go I was in a bit of a rush becuase I was on lunch and i work from home.. when I got back and opened the bowls there was litteraly no chicken in any of the bowls and when I went to call this restaurant to attempt to rectify the situation I got immediately hung up on and when I called again they answered and put the phone down immediately and you could hear the employees in the background talking for over 30 minutes before the call disconnected and when I finally reached somebody the third time they gave me attitude..not only was this expirence horrific and vile it was my very first expirence at this restaurant and more than likely my last and I hope the franchise chooses to find better individuals to represent the brand that they have built for them selves read more

Visited: July 21, 2025 around 1:30 PM This was my first visit to Bubbakoo's after a friend recommended their burrito bowls, and I was excited to give them a try. I ordered a ground beef bowl, and I'll admit--the food was fresh and flavorful. That said, the customer service left a sour impression. When I arrived, I noticed a young woman sitting nearby and a gentleman cleaning the tables. As I approached the pickup area, I greeted them both--but received no reply. Moments later, the same man who had been cleaning the tables came over, asked for my name, and handed me the food. Again--no greeting, no acknowledgment, nothing. It felt distant and dismissive, especially as a first-time visitor trying to engage warmly. A good meal is always appreciated, but hospitality matters just as much. When basic kindness is missing, it affects the entire experience. I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

The seeds of Bubbakoo's Burritos were sown in 1995 when student Paul Altero wrote a business plan for a class assignment at the University of Delaware. The name he came up for his imaginary business was Bubbakoo's Burritos. Over the next 10 years Altero worked at Pizzeria Uno, Nordstrom, and Johnny Rockets where he met Bill Hart who would become his future business partner. After trying Chipotle's Altero reignited his dream of Bubbakoo's. The first Bubbakoos opened on the Jersey shore in 2008.The second location opened in 2009 and they add one new restaurant a year for the next nine years. In 2015 they began franchising the Bubbakoo's concept. There are now 50 restaurants nationwide. This Bubbakoo's in the Royal Eagle Plaza on Wiles Road had their grand opening in September of 2021, making it the fourth Florida location of this franchise. Protein choices include mahi mahi, chicken, shredded pork, hibachi shrimp or steak, ground beef, and sriracha ranch grilled chicken with the more expensive options an upcharge. They also offer vegetarian options. Meals can be customized with bases like rice, beans, salsa, and lettuce and turned into burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and taco salads. They also have tater tots, curly fries, chicken wings, and fried Oreos on the menu. I wandered in here for dinner after a Yelp event next door that only had light bites. Although there were only two people ahead of me it took them forever to make their meals. I ended up just ordering a straightforward chicken burrito with the sweet chili thai sauce. For $12 the inside of of my burrito was cold and hard. I really didn't enjoy it. The chicken really didn't have any flavors. Even the pico was bland. I feel like I am at a upgraded Taco Bell. And they skimmed on the chicken. The ambience was too noisy. When I go out to eat with my son it's tough as he's a vegetarian and we don't agree on alot of foods. He is not a fan of Italian food...its my favorite. He loves Asian food...me, not so much. See what I'm sayin?? So I yelped vegetarian places and suggested this place. He said "oh yeah, I've eaten there the foods good" so we have a winner. He got fried cauliflower burrito which was huge and he said it was great. I got the 3 beef tacos which were delicious and we got a side of tater tots. We are still stuffed an hour later. I do think they are on the expensive side. Our 2 dinners plus tots was $34. But I had a nice meal and got to spend time with my son so definitely worth it. Tacos, quesadillas, burritos, they have it all. The interior is simple and quiet--no music. The staff is friendly and helpful. You order at the counter similar to Moe's and Chipotle. The menu is extensive and has a good mix of classics as mentioned above as well as specialties you won't find elsewhere such as Jamaican Jerk Quesadillas. I ordered the Taco Trio. Overall, they were pretty good. I'd compare them overall to Moe's. The ground beef was a little dry. But the shredded chicken was better than any similar offering at the aforementioned restaurants. All in all, it's a good place for a quite bite with fresh ingredients. Give them a try. read more

I tend to only leave reviews on places I have had good experiences at. I've ordered from Bubbakoo's a good amount of times. I root for new businesses and I really wanted them to wow me so I'd try different things from their menu. I was never wowed and their food on average would typically be a 3 out of 5. My gripe with them stems from their inconsistent service. The 1 star rating relates to the experience I had last night. I worked in the food industry the entire time I was in college a few years back. I know how it works. I get out of work late sometimes and this place closes at 10pm (everyday except Sunday) and every time I have walked in between 9:20-9:35 the staff is vigorously putting all of their food away, cleaning grills and mopping. Then they all look up at you disappointed that you're inconveniencing them and begrudgingly greet you and then take your order. Up until last night, this situation was tolerable since the interactions with the staff were fairly good and they'd still provide decent customer service after the initial greeting. Last night only one employee out of the multitude made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The rest of the staff seemed majorly ticked off, especially the young girl at the front counter who gave me the sharpest death stare I think I've ever gotten. So of course, I turned around and left. Thoughts that ran through my head: Maybe it's my fault? How could I have possibly thought it would be ok to come in 30 minutes before closing? Who do I think I am to inconvenience these people!? I don't think so. I could understand it being an inconvenience if I walked in 5 or maybe even 10 minutes before closing, but definitely not an entire half hour. Every time I've been in here I order for 3+ people and my bill is 50+ dollars. Making patrons feel unwelcomed is definitely not a good look for business. My suggestion to the management would be to have your staff start mild closing activities 10 minutes prior to closing and complete the heavy grunt of it after closing. Either that or close at 9 if you don't want customers after 9. Again, customers should never be made to feel uncomfortable or unwanted, that's basic customer service. Also please devein your shrimp. Stopped in this evening for dinner! Wow, this place was mobbed! Grand Master G from the Sugar Hill Gang was there entertaining the guests and taking selfies. They have a great menu! Recently opened on 9/10, and it shows. However giving four stars because the food is good. Super small inside, and not many spots to sit, but they do have some seating outside as well. Very Loud inside, not sure if it was because they have a really loud fan or if the music was loud but I was really distracted the whole time. Not familiar with the menu, and as I mentioned it was loud so i could hardly hear what the staff was saying as I was building my salad. It would have been nice if they had someone explaining the menu to people before they went to order, like most places do when they first open. I ordered a Taco Salad, which really you can customize however you like, so that's a huge plus. They ask if you want lettuce or something else (that I couldn't hear) to add to start so I didn't realize how little they actually put in until I sat down to eat; so make sure you add more lettuce at the end for a salad. I got the hibachi steak and a few other items, all in all, a good salad. You can also get a tortilla bowl or not, very fresh and yummy! My husband got a burrito and he was really happy with his choice. Staff need a little more training but I trust that'll come with the restaurant being open. Everyone seemed friendly though. I'm sure it will get better.... The food that we ate. was good, nothing stood out as great, but it was fine. BUT.. the service was slow, and when we did get to order, we couldn't get grilled chicken (just pulled chicken) as they had to start grilling it. Also the veggies that go on everything, they were needing to get started on the grill. As it was 6:30 pm on a Sunday, it shouldn't be that way. We choose not wait another 10+ minutes. With at least 5 people behind the counter, one would expect a better flow for serving, keeping foods available and keeping the front of the house tidy. Just didn't happen when we visited. I'm not sure anyone comes out from behind the counter... We sat outside where most of the tables had not been wiped down. The music was nice and there was plenty of open seating. When we threw away our trash, there were no garbage cans outside and the one inside was overflowing. I've been waiting for this place to open for awhile now. With so much competition surrounding them, Bubbakoo's delivers. Although they just recently opened, they strive to keep the restaurant clean and organized, they were very busy with a consistent line out the door but the manager and staff continued to clean and sweep as tables got messy and things fell on the floor. He even thanked me for coming out and ordering food as I left which was also nice. Down to the food, it packs the flavor punch that Chipotle seems to drop the ball on ofter. The Sriracha ranch chicken could have been a little better, all they did was squirt a little sauce on pre marinated chicken but the pieces they give you are nice the ingredients are fresh. I got the pico, onions and peppers fresh jalapeños, shredded lettuce and cheese. It was surprising to see that they were making meat and seafood for people per order which made the line take a little bit longer but it's nice to know that people are getting fresh food. The pricing is not terrible, one person will run around $12 for a standard bowl. All in all I will be returning to try something new next time!!
