While it is understandable that the immigration process can drag on for years, that does not excuse…read morethe fact that we just received a letter in the mail saying that our case is going to be inactivated / closed, accusing us of being the ones not responding. In early April I received an email from Abril Hernandez saying that they had received everything they had requested from us, and that they were working on the edits so they can finalize the packet and forward to the attorney for final review. I followed up on June 8 and got no response. I followed up on June 16th with no response. I followed up on August 10th, and finally got a response on August 18th that included a list of pending items including signed documents (I-485, I-864, I-765), something phrased as "CLT APPROVAL TO TRANSFER PACKET TO ATTORNEY FOR REVIEW", the remaining balance, and a copy of our 2024 taxes all pages and all W2s / 1099s. We had never heard anything about needing to "approve" the transfer of the packet to the attorney, nor had we ever been asked to provide any signed documents. There was no mention in the August 18th email about any risk of our case being inactivated or closed. I responded saying that we were not aware that they were waiting on anything from us other than the payment of the remaining balance, and pointing out that as of our last interaction, there had been no need for 2024 tax returns and such since it was prior to the April deadline for filing 2024 taxes. In the August 18th email, it was also stated that "it appears that our recent follow-ups may not be reaching you. To ensure we're communicating effectively, could you kindly confirm the best email address and phone number for the primary contact on your side". I find it very odd that the email of August 18th got to me just fine, but prior "recent followups" did not? I checked my email thoroughly including my spam folder and found nothing. This has been an ongoing issue with this firm. Garry Davis has always been courteous and respectful. The staff however seems to have had recurring problems keeping up with our case. If this situation is resolved acceptably to us, I will follow up on this review. I hope it is.
