The bartender, Marella, is quite literally the most unpleasant person I've ever encountered in the service industry. It's honestly impressive how someone so miserable can keep a job in a public facing role. The management also contributes to the unwelcoming atmosphere. There is a palpable sense of elitism that makes regular patrons feel unwelcome. It often feels as though the establishment is run for a specific inner circle rather than the general public, leaving everyone else feeling like an outsider in what should be a community space. The quality of the offerings does not justify the high prices. Drinks often lack the proper proportions, and the overall value is poor compared to other establishments in McHenry.
